Lakes and Sierra's are within 15 minutes away.I have owned this property for 20 years and we have put a lot of time and energy into making it very family friendly so that people can come camp with a picnic area and barbecue, clean bathrooms, places to put your horses and dogs as long as they're on a leash. There is 10 acres of beautiful land to stay on which includes a barbecue, kitchen, and gazebo area. Private stocked bass pond that you can also swim, paddle board, and fish on. The pond is backed by the kings river where you can boat, jet ski, fish, float on tubes, and do water sports on. There is electricity, and a nice men’s and women’s built in restrooms available for use. There are 2 RV hook ups available as well. The whole property is private and about 10 minutes from the nearest town, Kingsburg.

We stayed there as a halfway stop on our way to Joshua Tree. I’m originally from the Caruthers area, so i wanted to see the area after a 55 year absence. Cheryl was a responsive and welcoming host. She sent us the gate code and let us find our way. Clear directions and easy to find. Beautiful setting. It was a rainy night, so being under cover was nice.

We had an awesome night’s sleep at RandCher. The space was perfectly clean and easy to park in. We were the only campers the night we stayed, and it was a treat to have so private a setting. The coyotes and birds were fun to listen to, and after they went to sleep (?) it was SO QUIET at the vineyard. Very peaceful. Highly recommend1

Awesome hosts! They were very accommodating and even brought out their small excavator to build us a bigger fire pit. It was awesome and so much fun. There were also horses and sheep roaming around and Timber (their dog) was a wonderful guide around the property.

Had a wonderful one-night stay. Was a *very* well-maintained area and would highly recommend it for anyone. Hosts were very friendly and made us feel at home, even leaving on some lighting in case we arrived at/after dusk. Very cool spot and would absolutely stay there again.

This place is magical. It's not fancy by any means but has all the elements to make a person (me) dipping their toe into camping feel at once rugged yet comfortable. You can camp in the wilderness, yet are not too far from a potable water source, grills, shower, and even a fridge where you can store perishables. Matt, the owner is so friendly and kind and it felt like we had been long time friends. I camped here for two nights with my 5 year old and he absolutely loved running around and exploring the grounds. Camp Ikigai is a true labor of love and I can wait to come back.

This was a piece of heaven on earth! I am a single Mom to my four adopted girls. Animals and connection in nature is a source of comfort and emotional peace and security to my children. They were welcomed at Camp Ikigai by the host and all the animals. It was a much needed weekend of solace and peace and excitement! We highly recommend for anyone to go and support this amazing mission. God bless Camp Ikigai! We will be back and we are bringing friends! 🤗

I absolutely loved it! I wish I was there longer. The owner was really nice. We got to spend some time with the animals, they were all so adorable. The shower was also so fun, I liked the open shower concept. Also there were no to very little bugs.
