The driveway spot is down the driveway a couple hundred yards from where we usually are so you’ll more or less be on your own, depending on if we have work to do down there or if there are other campers. The 2nd area is “1 Pine” accessed by our second driveway that is 100 yards down the road from the farm. The drive goes up a couple hundred yards to the hilltop where there is a clearing and, you guessed it, 1 pine tree. From the back of the clearing there is a trail that leads you to 2 Pine, which is a walk that takes just a few minutes. 2 Pine is walk-in only but has great views of the sunset and is totally secluded and private and would be a good spot to either bring some friends for a little sunset party or for someone who wants to seriously unplug. There are a few different listings, so make sure to read the details on your specific listing! -End of The Driveway -1 Pine -2 Pine The End of The Driveway is one big site for buses/RVs/big vans next to the Soup Kitchen. 1 Pine and 2 Pine are up a separate driveway on the ridge. The driveway spot is down the driveway a couple hundred yards from where we usually are so you’ll more or less be on your own, depending on if we have work to do down there or if there are other campers. We are happy to chat or leave you be, just let us know what your needs are. If you’re looking for a more isolated spot, see the listings for 1 Pine or 2 Pine. The 2nd area is “1 Pine” accessed by our second driveway that is 100 yards down the road from the farm. The driveway is kind of rough but definitely manageable with a truck, SUV or sedan if you’re willing to go for it. The drive goes up a couple hundred yards to the hilltop where there is a clearing and, you guessed it, 1 pine tree. From the back of the clearing there is a trail that leads you to 2 Pine, which is a walk that takes just a few minutes. 2 Pine is walk-in only but has great views of the sunset and is totally secluded and private and would be a good spot to either bring some friends for a little sunset party or for someone who wants to seriously unplug. The Rainbow Junction offers a unique camping experience at the intersection of Mines Road and HWY 130 in the San Antonio Valley. We operate a restaurant and we offer camping friendly meals for guests. We love the wildness of this property and do not allow cars or vehicles beyond the parking lot. All of our sites are hike in sites. It's about a 1/4 mile hike on a small foot path. We have a wagon available for guests to use and we are happy to help you carry your things. We host a communal fire pit in the evenings, weather permitting, for all guests to enjoy, we do not allow open fires on the property. Cal Fire has requested that all campers get a permit, even to operate a gas stove. Water from our well is always available outside of the restaurant and bathrooms with running water are available during business hours. There is a fire trail along one of our ridge lines that offers stunning views of the San Antonio Valley as well as our abundant wildlife. 1 night at Delta Respite

Steve and Ceci are such lovely and down to earth people! Staying at their place was really enchanting, the cabin feels like something out of Snow White-it’s simple but also very detailed and you can tell thought was put in the space. The clawfoot bathtub was wonderful, and despite the winter chill the place managed to stay warm. There’s a bookshelf full of books with California flora and fauna. Their dogs are funny and very active, and there’s maybe about. 60 chickens there? Both domestic and wild. Both the area in the back next to the cows and the highway besides the river were lovely to walk beside and explore. Overall it was a wonderful way to get away from the hustle and hustle of things and relax and explore! Hope to be back soon 💕

Wow, what an amazing and beautiful weekend my girlfriends and I had at the Painted Lake Treehouse! The place is absolutely stunning! It was a mystical and magical wonderland with an amazing view of the lake. We woke up every morning to sounds of the roosters crowing and goats bleeting. We also had the pleasure of being there at the time where they had puppies on the property. They were so cute! The treehouse was warm and comfortable perfect for the three of us. The two petite girls stayed in the loft bed and I stayed on the futon couch down below. The heater kept us nice and toasty as we went there in December so it got brisk at night. There was was a camp kitchen, outdoor shower hut & portopotty just a just a short walk up the hill from the treehouse. There were dishes and cooking utensils provided as well as running water and a stove for cooking. Everything we needed. Our purpose for the weekend was to be surrounded by nature and to do a healing retreat weekend. We each booked a constellation therapy session with Michelle. Let me tell you she is absolutely magical. Such a compassionate and knowledgeable healer. It was truly transformative on so many levels. The animals participated as well. My favorite part was when the horses nuzzled my back during the final session. Our hosts Jeremy and Michele made sure that all of our needs were met and were extremely welcoming and excited to have us there. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Thanks M&J!! 💖 MAGIC!

So peaceful! I'd love to see it in spring when the almonds are blooming. All I could hear was cows mooing in the distance and one coyote howl. It was a great stopover for a couple nights. To find it, you turn right onto a small gravel drive off of Crocker. If you get to W. Undine you've gone too far. The pad is covered in largish chunks of recycled concrete. My car and little camper handled it fine, though. There is water, 30A & 50A power and sewer. Bring drinking water, because even with an inline filter the water came out rusty. If you get a chance, stop by the office and pick up some raw walnuts and excellent biscotti.

What an amazing place to stay! We did a spontaneous honeymoon getaway trip right after our wedding (no plans just spontaneous decision making) so we decided on staying at the foxes getaway and it did not disappoint. The apple turnovers are to DIE for and the house was adorable. We did have our two little doxies with us and they loved being able to graze the yard. The cute little town of galt was nearby and we explored the area (great ice cream). Otherwise, it was a beautiful place to stay and the couple who lives there was welcoming as well as kind. I couldn’t have been happier with the decision. Tips for those who want to visit: fridge space is small so be considerate of that and it’s a tiny home so don’t bring too much luggage.

We had a great time camping here and interacting with the farm animals. Lots of room to set up our tent and park at the site, and they supplied a picnic table and fire cage. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the trains go by and the roosters crowing (may be too loud for some). Hosts were friendly and helpful.

My wife and I stayed for about 4 months, we loved it. Jaqueline was very friendly and they have the best pecans and walnuts that you can purchase! The only problem was the rocks and our pets feet. But we worked around that and they eventually got use to it. Water and electric hookups came in handy. I hope to stay again!
