If you’re looking for a peaceful, welcoming spot to camp, Peggy’s land is the place. From the moment we arrived, Peggy greeted us with warmth and made us feel right at home. She even fed us, which was completely unexpected and so appreciated!
The campsite had everything we needed; all the amenities were easy to access and user-friendly. The outdoor shower was a highlight, super clean, and if you're into cold, invigorating showers with a beautiful view, you're going to love it.
Peggy was an incredible host, and her dog deserves a shoutout too, she kept watch and made us feel safe from whatever was out there that night (seriously, she's a champ).
This was an awesome experience all around. Great host, great setup, and great vibes. Highly recommend checking it out, you won’t regret it!

Peaceful campsite - Tuolumne county
First I want to say that the owner of this camp site is amazing! She went above and beyond to ensure our tent stayed in place outside. The location is perfect for those that want to get away and enjoy tranquility. It is very peaceful and clean. There is ample space to camp and there are even farm animals on the site that are loving and friendly. Keep in mind that the shower is outdoors but other than that the location is perfect for those visiting locally in Tuolumne county and Yosemite. I absolutely plan on staying here again in the future. Thank you, Peggy for making our experience great.

Overall great if you forgot to reserve a campsite in one of the parks but you’re just setting up your tent near her drive way right off the road. There was a picnic table, bathroom, sink and gas powered grill and car parking so great amenities.

MOMMAPEGGS SEIRRA/YOSEMITE GETAWAY
We enjoyed our stay at Mommapegs. Peggy met us personally when we drove up & allowed us to park our tear drop anywhere on the property, as there aren't really designated campsites. The animals are awesome especially Ayla the dog and the mini mule. Her little deli shack was unavailable so we didn't get any baked snacks like the other reviewers. October was a beautiful time to visit Jamestown, Sonora & Yosemite. We were the only guests there at the time, which worked out great since there was only one porta-potty.

This was a great site. I would recommend anyone to stay here. There's a really cool little horse named barley who was a delight. Lots of other animals. There's a propane firepit and the camp it's gated and feels safe. Restroom was clean and had a solar light in it which was cool. I will stay here again if im in the area.

My 2nd time camping ever and we chose to camp in hot weather, but it was still an enjoyable experience! The campsites are not really pictured, so I felt like taking a chance and I was surprised by how open everything felt. We only met the mini pony and he was very friendly! I didn’t get a chance to meet Peggy, but she’s more response through phone than DMs :)

Staying at Peggy’s Farm was wonderful! She was responsive and helped us with all of our needs. She lended us a propane grill with gas and we also had access to a propane firepit! She left some delicious muffins in the morning including treats to make smores. We loved staying and meeting the animals as well! The restroom was very sanitary and the outdoor shower was amazing! Definitely Recommend!

I loved tent camping at Momma Peggs. She had so many accessible amenities & had the cutest outdoor shower with hot water. Sadly didnt get to try her blueberry muffins but Peggy was so sweet she brought us out a freshly baked loaf of banana bread! Can't recommend Momma Peggs enough!

MOMMAPEGGS was such a great place to stay in our 22’ travel trailer while visiting Yosemite. Peggy was such a welcoming, generous, kind, and helpful host who also makes delicious food in her roadside cafe on site. We were greeted by all her special rescue animals (horses, pigs, peacock, Guinea fowl, mule, dogs, roosters and so on) which had my wife on cloud nine. We seriously didn’t want to leave when the time came. She may not have any RV hookups, but she offers guests an outside rain-style shower, (decorated with plants), porta potty which is regularly maintained, kitchen facility, gas fire pit, and free RV dumping is nearby at the fairgrounds. We highly recommend her, her place, her cafe, her animals, her sandwiches, and her delectable cookies to everyone!

Peggy’s camp site is a affordable and homey get away very close to Yosemite.
My gf loved the friendly animals that greeted us in the morning and the farm dogs made us feel protected from any coyotes and snakes. I loved the outdoor shower with adventurous feel. It didn’t get consistently hot, but we were camping in 100 degree weather so we wanted cold water and that’s exactly what we got.
We would recommend for anyone seeking an easy campsite for a couple or ever a small family who loves animals.

We love the place very simple yet so peaceful and relaxing especially in the morning. We can hear the farm animals they're all so cute. There's water,toilet and shower. We had a good time! Plus the yummy muffin serve in the morning is priceless.Give it a try folks!

Really nice camp site. View on beautiful wooded hills, close to Jamestown. There are farm animals and even a domesticated peacock walking around. The owner is very friendly and brought us fruits and freshly baked muffins for breakfast. We would absolutely recommend it and go back next time we need to stay in that area.

Peggy is a fantastic host!!!!!!!!!! We had everything we needed here - a shower, friendly animals, nature, BBQ, pit, table and chairs to sit, space for the tent, and more. I cannot highlight it enough! Peggy also delighted us with pastries in the mornings, and one morning we didn't have time to prepare anything before hiking, and she made us these delicious sandwiches!!! We came with a 4-year-old, and we loved her place and the proximity to Yosemite (1-1.5 hour drive). Recommended!!

Peggy is an amazing host! She has great recommendations for things to do, restaurants, and even where to place your tent. Her farm is perfect for families. Our kids love the pigs, birds, and Ariel & Barley (mini horse & mini mule). Peggy’s food is also great! Highly recommend the take away sandwich meals if you’re heading out on a hike or swimming day. Filling and delicious! We will be back (for 3rd time) for sure! <3

The hubs and I wanted to get our LO's into camping, but in a way that wasn't too "roughing it" especially in the middle of November. The kids are 3 & 6 and love the animals and the outdoors. Finding a place that was safe, with a "real" toilet, lots of space to roam and plenty to look at/hold their interest was a big search. Momma Pegg's 100% checked the boxes. Pegg herself is THE best host, she was very thorough explaining the site, baked THE best breakfast goods for us, and was always available when we had a question. She was very knowledgeable on places to go with our small Adventurers, and Momma Pegg Pantry is right on site serving the most deliciously large sandwiches. Definitely add that on to your stay.
The animals include mini ponies, peacocks, chickens, and the very best, fluffy guard dog. Because of the animals, you do hear the roosters cockadoodledooing in the early morning, but we wanted to get up and start our day anyways. The prettiest guard dog does bark to keep the coyotes away, but it sounds like an owl hooting so it was easy to sleep through. The fire pit is a nice propane one with the rocks in the middle, and table top ledge surrounding it. There are several great sites to choose from, with some solar twinkle lights for flair. The bathroom is a Porta Potty but it's very well kept with seat covers and a nice bright solar powered light inside. There is an actual sink with cold and hot, as well as an outdoor shower with wonderful hot and cold. This really is a gem of a place, and we are already planning a spring visit again ❤️

This place has two mules/donkeys/ponies! After many google searches, we were not able to determine what they actually were, but they sure were adorable. What a beautiful place, me and my girlfriend loved it. We woke up to muffins that Momma Peggy made us for the morning! Highly recommend.

We had an incredible stay at MOMMAPEGGS. Peggy was the most gracious of hosts. Grounds were clean and safe. We loved visiting the animals (my 8 year old was in heaven). Short and easy drive to Pinecrest and Columbia. We will definitely be back in the spring.

This is one of the most gorgeous places that I’ve ever experienced. Every moment here was picture perfect. Between the gorgeous sunsets and the beautiful outdoor shower, you feel like you’re in a dream. I can’t recommend this place enough!!!

I have stayed at several HIPCAMP locations but this one is hands down the best. The location is fantastic, close to YOSEMITE and Peggy provides shower, toilet, gas grill etc. She even offered me to use her tent iso setting up my own. She also has a little Cafe with fantastic sandwiches, coffee, tea etc. HIGHLY recommended campground with an extraordinary host. I will be back.

It was perfect, and was secluded from the usual amount of people at campgrounds. I’m an animal lover, so getting to play fetch with her dogs and pet the mule and horse was the icing on the cake. The flexibility on spots to put our tent down was great too. I’d absolutely recommend.
