We are exceptionally cautious with camp fires. If it is particularly hot and windy, there will be no fires. We now have a gas fire pit where you can create smores or just enjoy the campfire ambiance. Price is $175 for the Flying Pig (up to 5 total). Another option (as an add-on): you can pitch a tent for $45. "The Flying Pig" has a queen bed, bunk beds twin size, and a loft with a twin mattress, all bedding included. You are not just paying for a place to sleep; you are paying for an experience and the enjoyment of our property :-). We serve a continental breakfast (free) or hot breakfast ($35/cabin) between 8-9am. (we can accommodate vegetarian and dairy free diets; let us know before you come). We provide bedding and towels. There is A/C and a plug-in heater in The Flying Pig. Please do not bring additional things to plug in except for chargers for phone/electronic devices. We are approximately 1 1/2 hours south of San Francisco, 30 min south of San Jose (without traffic). Gilroy Gardens is 15 min away; Harvey Bear County park is 1 mile away; Monterey and Santa Cruz and the Pinnacles National Park are approximately 1 hour away. We are here in Gilroy Ca, on a rural 2 acres just outside of town, further up our road is Coyote Lake to go boating and fishing and Harvey Bear park to go hiking and horse riding. Santa Cruz is a 45 min drive West over hwy 152 and San Jose is 30 min North on 101 and keep going a bit more and you will be in San Francisco. Here at home we raise several different kinds of lives stock. Goats for meat and milk, Sheep for meat and wool and eventually milk, Pigs for meat, Rabbits for meat and hide, Chickens, Ducks and Quail for meat and eggs. We have a garden and small orchard with nearly a dozen fruit trees of different kinds : loquat, a few apples, plums, apricot, peach, fig, persimmons and my favorite the pomegranate! We process everything ourselves using ancestral techniques and love to share and learn with others. Id say the main draw back here is the traffic noise but beyond that, We are quite lucky to have very a green and Id say an oasis of a property, with multiple large palms trees surrounding the pool area and a large weeping willow tree in the main yard/sheep pasture. At the NE corner of the property is a very large oak tree, it is majestic and with the tipi door open to the East the big oak is the first thing you'll see every morning besides the suns rays! The entire Northern property line is rowed with 60ft tall redwood trees and there are a smattering of citrus trees around to boot! The freezer is stocked with in house meat, the BBQ is hot, the pool is cool, come relax after a day on the trails!

We are also on a well that is rich in minerals, so expect rust-marked porcelain tubs and a distinct mineral taste in the drinking water. We are a working cattle ranch. When the cows are grazing in the lower pastures, you'll hear and see authentic ranch life in action. There may also be friendly ranch cats hard at work keeping the mouse population in check, along with local wildlife that occasionally meanders through on its way to the nearby watering hole. Guest Access Guests are welcome to enjoy the yards around their cabins and the shared covered outdoor kitchen at any time. Please do not enter any of the white outbuildings or the areas behind them. With permission, guests may access the ranch trails outside of the PG&E camp. A signed liability waiver is required, and guests must text us to check in and out. Our yurt and treehouse are located on Lago Lomita Vineyards with a view of the entire Monterey Bay. We've been hosting guests since 2015 and are looking forward to meeting you! Both our treehouse and yurt listings are unique experiences. They both are adjacent to the Tierra Madre Vineyard Block and have awesome views of the entire Monterey Bay/Pacific Ocean. We are located on 44 acres high atop the Santa Cruz Mountains but close to all the major beaches and Silicon Valley. Please be aware this is camping in nature, along with squirrels, spiders, falling leaves, etc. and nature is not always for everyone. There is a 45ft. ladder to climb to get into the treehouse. The view at sunset is spectacular. Featured on the first page of top Glamping destinations in California, in National Geographic's 50 States, 500 campgrounds. Both sites include a trunk of goodies: Complimentary trunk of goodies that is filled with muffins, mugs, creamer, sugar, coffee, croissants, cards, champagne & wine glasses & wine opener! We acquired the property in 1991, shortly after the Lexington Fire (1985) and Loma Prieta earthquake (1989). At that time, the entire property has degenerated into disrepair, and all the vineyards had been overwhelmed by the wilderness. In 2011, we started the herculean effort of clearing away the wilderness, resurrecting all the vineyards and renovating our home. 1 night at Windsor Family Farm

My friend and I celebrated my birthday with a night stay at the farm. It’s super cute and we got to pet lots of animals and help feed the goats, alpacas and sheep hay in the morning after a delicious hot breakfast made by Kim. We also got some fresh eggs to take home! There was AC in the flying pig cabin which was nice in the afternoon when it was still hot out. The pig Penelope was so cute and friendly!

Camp Cruz was the perfect place for my husband and my anniversary. We’ve always been campers and now that the kids are grown it’s fun to go by ourselves. We loved the meditation area. Kim is amazing! She welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home. The cabin was even better than the pictures—clean, cozy, with air conditioning and a very comfortable mattress. We got to feed and pet the animals, which was a highlight for the kids. There was a playground, trampoline, and plenty of bikes to keep them entertained. We enjoyed making s’mores in the evening, and in the morning Kim had a delicious breakfast prepared for us, which was included in the price. We also picked the most delicious apricots straight from her trees. Thank you, Kim, for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back! 😊

Weekend Trip to Sacred Owl Land

I loved my cabana at Sacred Owl Land and cannot wait to return. The space was private, had a spectacular view and had so much love and care cultivated into every detail of the space. The bed was heavenly - SOOO comfortable! My only personal challenge (that others may benefit from) is having spinal and knee issues - the cabana is a hike down a short steep hill with the restrooms at the top, so bring good shoes and be prepared to go up and down. Vaza and Ludo are so kind and hospitable, next time I will opt for one of their beautiful bell glamping tents!

This was a lovely, restorative escape from the city! We loved every part of our stay. The tent was clean, comfortable, and easy to access. The site was so serene, well maintained, and quiet. The site is still close to a store, wineries, hikes etc so there is plenty to do around. Shelly was very considerate to leave extra blankets and trash bins which was very thoughtful. We had a wonderful time! The add-ons were worth it as Kim makes a great hot breakfast and sitting by the fire at night with s'mores was great fun. Also, my girls got the last bits of energy out before bed by using the trampoline and riding bikes on the property. The animals were so cute and the girls loved feeding and petting them. Kim is super nice and accommodating. The cabins were clean and organized. We wholeheartedly recommend!
