Nestled among beautiful 200-foot-tall redwoods and Douglas firs, Yurtopia is a peaceful, private, wind-protected retreat featuring a yurt (sleeps 3), a new cabin (sleeps 2), and a 26-foot shipping container home (sleeps 1). All three accommodations are included in the price. Perfect for families with or without children, small retreats, music or writing retreats, or anyone looking to unplug, find peace, or create lasting memories with friends. A separate building—a yellow 10-foot shipping container—serves as the bathroom and includes a flushing toilet, sink, hot shower, and laundry facilities. There's also a small stage for karaoke, musical performances, or perfecting your stand-up routine. If you'd rather sleep in a tent, there are plenty of flat areas where you can pitch one. One of the sites on the hill even has its own electrical outlet. The stage can also double as an elevated tent platform. Enjoy an outdoor movie screen and projector, along with two raised campfire areas. Kindling and some firewood are provided, and a hose and water are nearby for safety. Amenities • Wi-Fi: All three buildings include Wi-Fi and Roku-enabled TVs. • Kitchen (Shipping Container): Induction cooktop, mini fridge, sink, microwave, electric kettle, paper and reusable plates, silverware, cooking utensils, cups, French press, olive oil, vegetable oil, salt, pepper, and drinking water. Tea is usually available as well. Any food you find in the container is yours to enjoy. • Cabin: Hot plate, air fryer, and basic kitchen amenities. • Yurt: Electric kettle. • Bathroom: Hot shower, flushing toilet, washer, and dryer. Our main request is that you don't leave food outside or on the ground, as it can attract bears and other wildlife. Garbage and recycling bins are provided. There are plenty of places to relax throughout the property. Nicene Marks State Park, with excellent mountain biking and hiking trails, is just a short ride away. Enjoy complete serenity while still being only 25 minutes from world-class beaches. Upon request, two low-power BB guns are available for tin-can target practice. Outdoor games include badminton, lawn darts, bean bag toss (cornhole), Frisbees, board games, and more.To maximize privacy and serenity for the guests, we only book one group at a time.
