The stay was perfect. Fire pit under the oak tree was so nice. The tire swing was so entertaining for my 3 year old. Site 1 is fully encapsulated by trees. The other sites look more open. Owners are really nice. For site 1 if you have 4x4 you can get there but you need to be good driver and brush will probably hit the side of truck. my 2017 Colorado w small rack just barely made height and sides got brush slightly scratching sides which I don’t mind as my truck is beat up. I would go back for sure. Creek was not running even after a recent big rain but not a deal breaker. No cell service for T-Mobile

The camp was perfect for my night away from the hustle of the city. The bed was comfortable, and even though it was cold outside, the tent kept it warm inside (there was an option for a space heater). The flush toilets were clean and private and the shower was overlooking the valley so the morning breeze felt amazing fresh out of the shower. The camp was set up to make outdoor cooking easy, and the chairs on the deck were a great touch to end the evening overlooking the valley as the sun set. Will absolutely visit again!

The camping area resides on the North side of the Via Cordoniz access road, starting at Deadwood Dome site and the Detour N De Luz sign at top of staircase, ranging North West 3/4 of the mountain up, and 10 acres left. Please be mindful of the property markers, and respect our neighboring property lines. You are responsible for your own fitness in hiking the inclining trails and staircases. Hiking or walking sticks are highly recommended. A shared cooking area, has been cleared, providing use of the propane gas grill (campers must supply own 1 lb green canister), standard size cooler, small fire extinguisher, and carved or cut seating. Nearby, a shared pit toilet with a small 5 gallon black solar shower bag, shower toga, toilet paper, glass wash basin and pouring bottle-for minor freshening, vanity mirror and 5 gallon water jug, refilled daily- or more frequently, if needed, all located in a pallet wood stall. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas.
