What a fantastic place to stay while visiting the coast! Gorgeous gardens, a perfect kitchen setup, fantastic shower, and a classic outhouse. The cob house itself was so sweet and cozy with fresh flowers to greet me. So many thoughtful touches throughout this property.

2 nights at Roseman Creek Ranch
Katie hosted me on my first solo getaway away from my young toddler, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to reconnect with myself. Katie is an extremely interesting human and an experienced host, and everything was clean, well thought out, and a pleasure to use—especially the outdoor shower where the water was deliciously hot and ferns tickled my legs. The surroundings are incredibly peaceful and the stars incredible. I spent my mornings making art at picnic table, and in the afternoons drove fifteen minutes in either direction to the charming towns of Gualala and Point Area, where I found groceries, delicious shrimp tacos, brick oven pizza, river kayaking, a public library, a used bookstore, and more. It was a truly special stay and I hope I get a chance to return. Thank you, Katie, for the restorative retreat.

Staying at Hoppers was truly an unforgettable experience. When we went there were 11 of sweetest puppies, and 4 dare I say sweeter doggy parents and grandparents. (They were all equally sweet)
Hopper was accommodating to us and such a thoughtful host. The yurt was very cozy and beautifully deisgned. His approach to sustainability is novel and special.
As someone who loves to camp in Joshua Tree, Sequoia and Kings Canyon, the area was the was the darkest night sky I’ve seen in a long long time. If you want more comfort than camping at salt point, but still be immersed in the north coast nature this is the place to be.
10/10 recommend

Hopper's farm was a super fun spot to stay for a weekend with my dog and toddler. The yurt had everything we needed and the detached bathroom with shower and a couple sinks was just a short walk away. His farm is in a beautiful forest about a 20 min drive uphill from sea ranch, so it is a great alternative to Salt Point SP or the other campgrounds closer to Gualala. My daughter enjoyed seeing his rabbits. Hopper is a fountain of wisdom about local plants and agriculture and I'm sure a longer stay would be super interesting, but we mainly used it as a home base for local adventures along the coast. Also if you're coming up from the bay the drive from 101 through dry creek valley is gorgeous and passes through loads of wineries/farms with cool farm stands and other neat things to stop and see if you have more time. Bottom line, it's a really nice, peaceful spot and we hope to return again soon for a longer stay.

We loved camping and Cobbing at Rosemond Creek. Beauty everywhere...meadows, flower gardens, birds, redwoods, mazanitas, and oaks, stars at night, sounds of ocean waves...lots of peace. And clean accommodations! And in addition to being a gracious host, Katie is a very interesting creative person; we really enjoyed meeting her.

Brett’s place is lovely, it’s a very nice home in a beautiful spot. We had a great time exploring the area. We appreciate that it was dog friendly. We were able to hang out at Clear Lake and there are many wineries in the area along with cute breakfast spots and shops. Going home at the end of our day to hang in the hot tub was the best. Brett is super nice, I ended up accidentally leaving my drivers license there and he was able to help me get in touch with the house cleaner Maria who sent it in the mail. I really appreciated them. Definitely recommend.

From the moment we pulled in, we knew we were somewhere special. Thomas went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our stay — and it honestly felt like visiting an old friend rather than just a host. He had a tent already set up for us, with a table, a couch and a tarp.
His land is beautiful and peaceful — it just has this calm energy to it. We felt super safe and relaxed the whole time. Our dog was in heaven, running around freely with Thomas’s dogs. They got along great, and it was so nice to be somewhere truly dog-friendly.
The next morning, Thomas gave us a little tour of the place, including his hydroponic garden. I don’t think I’ll ever look at store-bought arugula the same way again — it was insanely good. The eggs were also super fresh and delicious, and he even offers customized baskets with produce from his farm. It’s such a cool, personal touch that makes the stay even more unique.
Also — can’t forget to mention the swing. It was such a fun surprise and made us feel like kids again.
This place is the definition of good vibes. Genuine host, beautiful land, and thoughtful touches everywhere. We’re already talking about when we can come back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible off-grid Hipcamp spot, and it was nothing short of magical! Thomas was not only friendly but also passionate about sharing his knowledge of the land, making every interaction meaningful and enriching.
One of the highlights of my stay was enjoying morning and night tea while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. The peaceful ambiance allowed for serene moments of reflection and connection with nature. I also had the joy of meeting the best dogs on the property, who were always ready for some love and mostly at work, being guard dogs!
The swings on the property had a whimsical charm, adding a sense of joy and life to the experience. I felt a wonderful sense of solitude in this beautiful setting, which allowed me to truly unwind and recharge.
And let’s not forget the wild strawberries—hands down the best I’ve ever tasted! They were a delightful treat that perfectly complemented my stay.
I also indulged in a healing massage that left me feeling rejuvenated and at peace. The yurt itself was wonderfully equipped with everything I needed, blending comfort with the beauty of nature.
If you're looking for an unforgettable escape filled with learning, relaxation, and genuine interactions, this is the place to be! I can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to return!

Wow - what a wonderful spot!
We were greeted with a very clean, open and refreshing house. It is impressive how mindfully designed and well-appointed it is, with pleasant textures, textiles, colors and artful touches throughout, as well as numerous large windows to let the outside in.
The comfortable seating areas are perfectly placed to enjoy the beautiful, woodsy setting both indoors and out. The hot tub area is great too - perfectly designed for privacy & relaxation.
The house was well-stocked with items that are often not provided at house rentals, such as Kleenex, a variety of cooking spices, every kitchen tool I needed (and we cooked every meal at the house during our 3-night stay), Tupperware perfect for picnics, coffee supplies, etc. Well done!
It's one of those places you want to tell everyone about, but you also don't because you want it to be available for your next getaway!

We were a group of 6 girls and had an incredible time in this cozy cabin nestled in the redwoods! The host has thought of everything - it was fully equipped with kitchen stuff and toiletries, and had super comfortable beds. We loved using the hot tub and sauna. Lastly, the location is perfect - you're walking distance to Rio Nido and a short drive to Guerneville and Armstrong Redwoods. Highly recommend!
