The Camp is on 10 pristine acres in the Hammond Ranch area with a beautiful view of Mt Shasta to the East. 25' RVs with tow car OK, Sprinter Vans/ Class C with tow car OK/Class B/ Trailer 25' with tow OK. If you have a car in tow please go to the top of the driveway at the loop and remove the car in tow before entering the driveway to the Hip Camp. If you are a bit longer just text us and we can see if it can work. All campers must be self contained with holding tanks. NO TENT CAMPING. This camp is for SELF CONTAINED RVs. If you arrive without your own toilet you will be asked to leave. Doggies are allowed and should be leased for the safety of wildlife. All pets must sleep in your RV. There are many critters out at night! There is a 20 AMP electric hook up to power. YOU CAN NOT RUN AN AIR CONDITIONER...AC.... ON A 20 AMP CONNECTION. You can use your own generator system to run AC for your trailer, motorhome or van. Generators hours are 8AM to 9PM. lease be respectful of our quiet space and only run generators when necessary. The camp is by a beautiful Zinnia garden which blooms in the summer and a small orchard which is all fenced in. The property is wooded and has a view of Mt Shasta from the camp. The camp has a picnic table, two outdoor chairs, WE ARE UNDER CAMPFIRE RESTRICTIONS AT THIS TIME. NO CAMPFIRES WILL BE ALLOWED. Please ask upon your arrival if restrictions have been lifted. There is a cool soaking tub available to beat the heat during the summer months! Our 120 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California. It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek. We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

This was the perfect place to stop over on our trip down to Yosemite. Very close the highway, easy to find, and our spot was pretty level. The hosts could not have been nicer! Johnathan and Wes truly cared that we were enjoying our stay and made sure that we had everything we needed to make us comfortable. The majority of the park is full-time residents, however we felt safe and it was very quiet. We would stay here again if passing through the area. Bonus: the laundry room was very clean and the washer/dryer actually worked very well! No extra time needed for our load of towels - which is always an awesome surprise!

I came to Mt Shasta for a reiki class and coming acrossed Ali's place was meant to be! Camping under the Grandmother tree at Shasta Gardens is an unforgettable experience. Her low skirt of branches feels safe and keeps you warm and cozy in your tent, as well as calm and grounded, as she was a tree planted generations ago by an indigenous family 💚 Ali is a wonderful host and a gifted soul who makes you feel right at home, sharing unique stories about the land and his own epic life. He made a fire which was perfect for keeping warm under the stars with a view of Mt. Shasta. It was cool being right next to a cat sanctuary and meeting the furry friends who hung out around Ali. His garden in itself is beautiful and says a lot about how much love he has poured into his space. Despite the sound of the train, I felt so at peace and slept soooo good at his Hipcamp. I'm recommending it to all my friends who visit Shasta!

Very peaceful with the convenience of a communal kitchen, showers and a flush toilet. The creek is beautiful and due to its remote location there was only one other couple so we were able to spread out between two other sites. We were awestruck by the stars and were lulled to sleep by the night sounds of crickets and the creek. The raspberries growing both wild and in the garden and were delicious. We also enjoyed plums and grapes. Our host Scott was our hero when we had trouble with our hitch and he brought out tools and grease until we succeeded in hooking it up for our departure. We greatly enjoyed iron canyon reservoir which is stuffed with trout and again there were no other people. We had a lovely time kayaking there. We highly recommend!

I couldn't more highly recommend Shasta Gardens!! I stayed 7 days at The Tree of Life and it was magical. This is the 2nd time I've stayed with Ali at Shasta Gardens and I'll be coming back every year. Ali is a fantastic host and you are given everything you could want and need. You have close access to everything Mount Shasta has to offer, including the energy work service's that Ali offers for your own personal development. This was the best 7 days of my entire year and I can't wait to come back next year. If you feel called to stay at Shasta Gardens, do it! You won't regret it!

Weekend Trip to Camp Stoney Meadows

Nora and Scott are incredibly friendly. Camp spots are fairly close together, so keep that in mind. The facilities, including a bathroom, shower, and covered outdoor kitchen were a very nice perk. They also have a nice swimming hole on the river attached to their property. We happened to be there on pizza night and Scott and Nore make the dough and sauce from scratch, so good! They have a number of dogs that roam the ranch to protect their animals, so make sure you're dogs are friendly if you plan to travel with one. Also, not advised if you have a vehicle that's low as the roads are a bit bumpy.

The host is very friendly and welcoming. Although it is close to the train tracks, which can be very loud, he does disclose it in the listing and earplugs were a must for us. But the location was convenient for any last minute store runs and we enjoyed fresh berries to pick with great views of the mountain as well as fresh tasting spring water.

Karen and her husband we very welcoming and did all they could to accommodate us as quickly as possible. A storm came in the night before and knocked power out. They were able to get the power back on and were able to relocate us to a site with power. The place was very well maintained and the short hike to the top of the hill gave us spectacular views of Mt Shasta. The goats, chicken and other wildlife were definitely a welcoming touch. Thank you Karen and Trailer Lane for a very nice stay!!!!

This was our second time staying here and we love it. It is close to everything we want to do, it is very private and off the beaten path. We enjoy the deer and little buck strolling through each day and the view of Mt Shasta is beautiful. We rode our mountain bikes at the awesome Gateway Trail (15 min away), swam at Lake Siskyou, ate at Bistro 107 and had beers at Pipeline. This is a wonderful place to stay!
