It's a very short walk to the neighborhood park- equipped with several types of playground equipment and public creek access, or a five minute drive to a Crestridge Ecological Reserve containing multiple trails. We have three campsites and a cabin on about an acre of land. If you'd like to hang out on the property, we offer a table and chairs with each campsite to lounge in while enjoying the fresh air and nature. There are also a couple of hammocks available. In addition, our SHARED amenities include an outdoor kitchen that includes a sink with hot water, 2 mini fridges,(full at times, extra coolers available) coffee maker, a two burner stove, a griddle, a toaster oven, blender, tea kettle, and a few pans, plates, bowls, cups, and utensils. Also here to SHARE is a Propane fire pit and BBQ area. The bathroom now includes a flush toilet, sink and shower. We are continuously making improvements. Fun Fact: Harbison Canyon was named after John Stewart Harbison - aka the King of the Bee Keepers. He arrived with over one hundred colonies of bees in 1874 and within 7 years he became the world's largest honey producer! Today there are just a few bees in the area.

This is an outdoor private YOME near our pool. Access to pool, BBQ (bring utensils you would bring camping, plates, napkins, towels, etc.  There is a small sink to wash dishes (pleases only liquid down the drain) but we do not supply dishes, so paper/disposable stuff required if you plan on cooking)  The pool, hot tub and outside bathroom is shared with our small family and anyone staying in the Poolside Lounge during the day if people are swimming, so you may meet some new people while staying at our place.  The outdoor bathroom will be shared when other guests are at the pool swimming or hanging out and need to use the toilet, but most likely during the evening hours, it will be all yours, we always try to give a heads up if there will be anyone using the bathroom in the evening.  The pool is shared, we live on the property across an easement and we have other rentals on the property. There is total privacy at the YOME. Everyone who comes to stay is friendly and chill, no drama here and not a party place, just good vibes :) We have a small farm on our property with chickens and loads of rare tropical fruits and veggies and we love to give tours and share with our guests. There are lot's of wineries in Ramona, about 30 minutes east in the mountains, as well as Julian to explore.  Our glamp is great for a weekend destination or just for a rest on your way to another adventure.  Although we love pets (we have a few dogs on the property), we cannot accept guests with pets at this time.  share it with our guests and will be available during your whole stay if you need anything at all.  We are just a text away and we live on the property and are often down gardening, working, swimming, etc.

This is an outdoor private YOME near our pool. Access to pool, BBQ (bring utensils you would bring camping, plates, napkins, towels, etc.  There is a small sink to wash dishes (pleases only liquid down the drain) but we do not supply dishes, so paper/disposable stuff required if you plan on cooking)  The pool, hot tub and outside bathroom is shared with our small family and anyone staying in the Poolside Lounge during the day if people are swimming, so you may meet some new people while staying at our place.  The outdoor bathroom will be shared when other guests are at the pool swimming or hanging out and need to use the toilet, but most likely during the evening hours, it will be all yours, we always try to give a heads up if there will be anyone using the bathroom in the evening.  The pool is shared, we live on the property across an easement and we have other rentals on the property. There is total privacy at the YOME. Everyone who comes to stay is friendly and chill, no drama here and not a party place, just good vibes :) We have a small farm on our property with chickens and loads of rare tropical fruits and veggies and we love to give tours and share with our guests. There are lot's of wineries in Ramona, about 30 minutes east in the mountains, as well as Julian to explore.  Our glamp is great for a weekend destination or just for a rest on your way to another adventure.  Although we love pets (we have a few dogs on the property), we cannot accept guests with pets at this time.  share it with our guests and will be available during your whole stay if you need anything at all.  We are just a text away and we live on the property and are often down gardening, working, swimming, etc.

Our stay at The Happy Camper was everything we had hoped for and more. The setup was thoughtful, cozy, and incredibly comfortable; the bed alone was one of the best we’ve ever slept on while camping. The entire space was spotless and clearly cared for with so much attention. Davida, the owner, is truly something special. She was helpful, kind, and went well beyond expectations to make us feel welcome. You can tell she pours her heart into this HipCamp spot. My 6-year-old absolutely loved it! Me and my partner had a lovely stay at Hellya cabin! We loved this spot especially for its view and quiet atmosphere. Parking was very close and we had a good distance from the other cabins. Keep in mind there are no heaters in this cabin but the building retained heat well at night and was cool during the day. Stuart and Janel’s dogs greeted us as we drove up and after a few barks they greeted us with snuggles! They were great company on our weekend trip. We had a wounderful time. From the very start Diana was very responsive. Upon our arrival she got all checked in a familiar with supplies and amenities. I was very impressed by all the small details such as signage and provided materials. Even more so impressed by how much work Diana takes to make the experience comfortable and environmentally sustainable. We got to see some wild turkeys at night and enjoyed looking at her bee hive boxes. Compost toilet was a new one for me and like she promised it was easy, comfortable, and left no smell. It would be a pleasure to stay again!

There's places I've stayed at because I love for different reasons. It could be the ambience, the views, the bed, the perks of being central in a certain city I love, etc. You will fall in love with this remote place, the little touches such as the quality snacks they provided us, the beautiful trailer, the readiness of the firepit and bbq, etc. I can say whole heartedly the reason that made this place great was the owners. They're good people with good souls. They were just the most hospitable hosts I've met from all the private rentals I've done ( and I've done a lot.) We appreciate you. Location is beautiful, and the hosts have done so much work to make the property attractive and restful. The cabin was perfect for us, but others should know that the structures are very rustic and basic. The bedding and mattress were nice. People should prepare for a more camping-like experience and they will be happy. The kitchen and bathroom would be more useable with a few tweaks, which we will let the hosts know about. Definitely bring flashlights and possibly even your own camp stove if you want to be able to easily boil water. The hike to the cabin really is 5 minutes or less, and you should plan to carry your things over to it. The solar wasn’t functioning at the time of our visit, so we got by with battery packs charged at the house, which is a compromise for the mini-fridge since it can only power it for a little less than 24 hrs.

Everything was absolutely perfect — the trailer was spotless and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need, and the campsite itself was so thoughtfully set up and cozy. Our host, Davida, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She even greeted us with two joints, a homemade apple pie, and ice cream — such a fun and thoughtful touch! The property is gorgeous, and the cannabis plants are absolutely stunning to see up close. Our dogs had the best time, too! They were welcomed with open arms and clearly loved every minute of the trip. It’s rare to find a place that feels so peaceful, well cared for, and genuinely welcoming to both people and pets. Nopalito Farm has been in operation since late 2014, but the property itself has been a working farm for over 50 years. Lemons and avocados were the primary crops from the 70’s through the 00’s, and are still prominent throughout our 15 acres. Our predecessors then diversified the growing operation by planting a wide range of fruit trees ranging from guavas and passion fruit to peaches and figs. Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). We also have a small 1954 Camper ("Lucy") that can act as a second bedroom for more sleeping space (check for add-on). **WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: We can provide a ramp for the Airstream for accessibility, though please be aware the camper is small, likely not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and the bathroom is also small and doesn't meet ADA standards.
