Find yourself chilling by the pool or taking a nice hot shower after a hike at the lake. This is glamping at it's finest. Fan, light, Outdoor bathroom with hot shower and flush toilet. Grill a delicious meal on the gas BBQ. Put your drinks and food in the full size fridge outside. wifi throughout property. Please read everything about the space before requesting to book. This is an outdoor private YOME near our pool. Access to pool, BBQ (bring utensils you would bring camping, plates, napkins, towels, etc. There is a small sink to wash dishes (pleases only liquid down the drain) but we do not supply dishes, so paper/disposable stuff required if you plan on cooking) The pool, hot tub and outside bathroom is shared with our small family and anyone staying in the Poolside Lounge during the day if people are swimming, so you may meet some new people while staying at our place. The outdoor bathroom will be shared when other guests are at the pool swimming or hanging out and need to use the toilet, but most likely during the evening hours, it will be all yours, we always try to give a heads up if there will be anyone using the bathroom in the evening. The pool is shared, we live on the property across an easement and we have other rentals on the property. There is total privacy at the YOME. Everyone who comes to stay is friendly and chill, no drama here and not a party place, just good vibes :) We have a small farm on our property with chickens and loads of rare tropical fruits and veggies and we love to give tours and share with our guests. There are lot's of wineries in Ramona, about 30 minutes east in the mountains, as well as Julian to explore. Our glamp is great for a weekend destination or just for a rest on your way to another adventure. Although the pool area is way better than any apartment and most hotels, If you don't want a shared space with others around, it's probably not a great fit. We are located on the border of El Cajon and Lakeside in San Diego (about 20 miles east of Downtown) with easy access to the 8 freeway. We are just beginning to live our longtime dream of sharing our land and space with travelers, artists and friends. We have a 2.5 acre property and the Yome is down at the pool, separated from the main house. The pool, hot tub and outside bathroom is shared with our small family and anyone staying in the Poolside Lounge during the day if people are swimming, so you may meet some new people while staying at our place. The outdoor bathroom will be shared when our family or friends are at the pool swimming or hanging out and need to use the toilet, but most likely during the evening hours, it will be all yours, we always try to give a heads up if there will be anyone using the bathroom in the evening. There is a door with a lock, so it is private when you need privacy. We recommend keeping your personal bathroom items in the Yome during your stay. Please note that we are very close to the 8 freeway and you can hear it in the distance at night. We offer a sound machine which helps to diffuse the noise. If you would like the hot tub on past 9pm, we can arrange that with additional fee. If you would like this added service, please let us know so we can make arrangements. Cost for hot tub heat is included in the rate you are paying (up to 1 hour of use) up until 9pm. Hot tub closes at 9pm (unless you pay the extra fee) and is shared with our family and anyone staying in the apartment. The hot tub comfortably fits 4 people max, so it's pretty small. Please let us know if you'd like to use and we will happily turn it on and off for you, as it's manual at this time. Please limit your time to 30 minutes if there are others staying on the property and you see they want to use as well. Pool is not heated and costs $125/day to heat. Please let us know if you would like that added service. Thank you! This is a pretty chill spot, a lot of family (at times) around environment, not a party pad in any way. The Yome does offer a lot of privacy, but the pool area is shared. Please don't book if you are looking for total seclusion and privacy without another soul around...this is not it. It can be cold in the winter months and warm during the summer...we try to make your stay as comfy as possible :) There is no microwave or any other way to make food other than the BBQ here, this is glamping (glamorous camping), not your regular apartment or hotel. The lighting is ambient around the pool area at night, so it's not great for doing a lot of technical things at night or cooking a full on meal that you would at home (recommend doing that while it's still light out). That being said, it is a wonderful place to find peace, quiet and comfort. During the summer, there's the pool outside and a fan inside and winter offers electric blanket and space heater and a fire pit at the pool. There is also a little coffee machine by the big fridge outside. This is an outdoor private YOME near our pool. There is a bathroom with flush toilet, hot shower and sink with mirror. Our gorgeous Yome has a comfy queen size real bed and a twin size futon as well as a fan & space heater. It is steps from the pool and very private. The Yome is is situated on an elevated platform under a gorgeous canopy of Chinese Elm trees. The trees have lot's of bird families, so that means your new alarm clock is a bird :) There are motion solar lights around the bathroom and walkways. There are extra blankets if needed in the tent. There is an outdoor bathroom (shared when anyone is at pool, mostly during summer months ) steps away with a hot shower, sink with mirror and regular flush toilet. It is lit by solar lights, there is no electricity in the bathroom. Nearby activities include Lake Jennings, which offers fishing and hiking, as well as several gorgeous parks to visit. There are lot's of wineries in Ramona, about 45 minutes east in the mountains, as well as Julian to explore. Our glamp is great for a weekend destination or just for a rest on your way to another adventure. Although we love pets (we have a few dogs on the property), we cannot accept guests with pets at this time. Parking is in our driveway across from the pool area. If this is glamping, I want more!

This place seemed magical--a throwback to the time when living areas in San Diego homes were half inside, half outside, with sound-quieting adobe walls, cool and shaded patios with brightly painted murals, exotic gardens with overhanging plants, and sometimes pools, saunas and showers. And warm hospitality. This place has them all.

Step in to pure relaxation♥️

I had the most relaxing time in this wonderful little getaway! Heather was super sweet and easygoing...much appreciated. The yurt was extremely comfortable with all of the amenities of home. But, the open air shower made my day! I had to head back to reality pretty early, but getting cleaned up and ready for my day in such a peaceful atmosphere still (five days later) has me on a high. Cannot wait to have a couple of days of in a row to get back and take advantage of all the beauty and serenity that this gem has to offer!! Highly recommend... stay cation or just passing through Heather and Robert have really put much love into creating an amazing gift to share.♥️

The property was gorgeous with a beautiful in-round pool and a variety of neat plants. The bathroom was really cool with an outdoor vibe. The Yome was such a nice experience, really well decorated, and held the temperature so it wasn't too hot or too cold.

Super cute bohemian yurt

The yurt was so freaking cute! Very boho style and we loved it! It was very comfortable, during our stay the nights got into the 40s, but there was a space heater and a heated blanket provided to us, which made it very comfy for sleeping. There was a super cute outdoor bathroom and shower (there’s lots of privacy and a door to close you in). We would gladly stay here again. Heather (one of the owners) was very accommodating and attentive. She checked in with us to make sure we were warm enough, and offered use of the pool & jacuzzi.

Very cool and beautiful property, plus Heather and Robert were incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and caring hosts. The yome was spacious and comfortable. It rained the entire time I was there, and still I had a great time. Would definitely come back.

I had an amazing time at San Diego Poolside Yome , the yurt was very comfortable. It is a great place to relax enjoying the pool and hot tub! I loved the outside/ open bathroom and shower it was a plus!

Urban Narnia

Wow, the vibe of this place is on point. Feels like your on vacation far far away as soon as you walk through the gate that is tuck in between a surrounding neighborhood like a urban Narnia. We loved our stay and the hosts were warm and welcoming. It’s the kinda of place you become regulars at. There’s a couple options for lodging that are perfect for couples and families. It’s a great mixture of nature, amenities and personality.

Beautiful oasis

This is a beautiful Oasis in east San Diego. The bed was warm and welcoming in a semi private back deck behind the pool. The outdoor shower was very refreshing and the pool area is brightly colored with plants and mandala paintings. I loved the environment! The common area consists of the pool and the shower and these areas are highly populated. The people are friendly but this is not a private area for the guests. There are family and friends of family, neighbors and their family dog. This is the owners home so please respect their space and do not expect privacy by the pool. Also Bring plenty of water as there is none to drink! Even though you want to bring your friends and family, because of its beauty, you must refrain.

Loved my time here

My poolside getaway at Heather & Robert's Eucalyptus Hideaway was amazing! Based on the photos, I was excited about my stay, but it was beyond my expectations. Heather and Robert are very friendly and accommodating. The Yome I stayed in was clean, welcoming, cozy and overall awesome. During my hot August stay, I slept very comfortably by the fan in the Yome. The Pool is clean and has many cozy spots to lay - both shaded and in the sun - around the pool. Kitchen and fridge is clean. The outdoor garden bathroom and show is really cool and clean. Plenty of privacy there and throughout the property. Definitely coming back for another stay!

Perfect Hideaway!

Perfect hideaway! Robert & Heather are wonderful, caring hosts, very nice, easy going and available. We even got treated with squash from their garden! The neighborhood doesn’t reflect what a wonderful charm is hidden here. We are local to San Diego and we felt like we traveled to some remote, beautiful location. Very relaxing, ambient and private. We will be back!

Lots of fun in the SD sun!

This place was great for a little family glamping trip. We enjoyed the pool, the Yome, and the company. Close to home but felt far away. Enjoyed taking day drives and looking at the lakes nearby. The hosts were great! Something to consider if you have small children- the pool is not fully enclosed just as the hosts explain on the website. Thank you for the fun adventure!

Unbelievable local escape

Absolutely incredible experience. My best one across any hosted site so far. Heather is warm and genuine, Robert is respectful and supportive, and their little girl is sweet and smart. They offered as much privacy or as much socialization as I wanted and needed. The pool is incredible and the entire space has a very Bali meets Swiss family Robinson. No one I know believed this place was in El Cajon, it feels surreal! The yurt was cool, comfortable, and bug-free and the bed and pillows were to die for. I wanted to stay forever.

The Yurtttt

This weekend was amazing. My girlfriend and i got to lounge by the pool, cook endless meals on the grill, and capture some sick flicks :) the shower outside is heaven and the yurt is extremely homey! Thank you to our wonderful hosts, who spoiled us and made us feel extremely welcome! Can’t wait to be back <3

Unique Stay!

What a nice getaway! It was more spacious inside than I expected. If rain is forecast on your trip, don't worry, the tent is waterproof (it rained for most of our stay). The electric blanket and heater provided made for a cozy night. If you're looking for nearby activities, I recommend hiking Cowles Mountain (20 minute drive). Also, if you plan on visiting Lake Jennings (5 min drive), make sure you check their hours. It was closed when I was staying here. One last thing is I brought my computer to watch a movie on, but their wifi was too slow to get any to load. I used my phone as a hotspot instead which worked fine, and I guess the point is after all to connect with nature more :) so not really a complaint.

It was a great place to stay for the weekend. It was just as it as pictured on site. It was clean Heather was very accommodating and responded to my messages quickly if I had any questions. Will definitely stay here again for a quick get away!

This was a total gem! The bed was comfortable, the outdoor showers were so relaxing, and the pool was perfect on a hot California morning! Heather and her husband were accommodating but gave us plenty of privacy. Loved this place and wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Heather was a great host and very attentive to our needs. The space was fun and had what we needed for our surf vacation. The tent was nicely set up with a comfy queen bed, chair, end table and a lamp. There were a few ants around the tent which is to be expected while camping, but when they got inside it was difficult to relax. The pool was amazing, clean and the perfect temperature! The outdoor bathroom was unique and we enjoyed it. The cold water shower was sufficient for our needs. Warm water will be a nice upgrade when it happens. Overall a great time at the place which we enjoyed very much!

My family had the most wonderful time camping in this spot for 3 nights. We arrived to a beautiful well decorated yurt tent. The site is very well set up and our hosts Heather and Robert were fantastic! It was very convenient for us to go to beaches around San Diego area during day time and come back to our campsite in the afternoon and cool off in the swimming pool. We loved it so much! I highly recommend this spot. We will definitely be back when we get to San Diego area.

I spent four days with my two boys there looking some time alone with them without their friends. This was more than perfect for that. It’s a whole different way of camping/glamping! Full-size refrigerator, and a gas grill! We played in the pool all day, and got a chance to interact with Heather, Robert and Manica in the evenings having water fights! The bed is so comfy, the tent is beautiful, and the outdoor shower/bathroom is perfect. I wouldn’t have known there was no hot water if they hadn’t told me. They also have solar lights placed in all the right places around the property with motion sensors that made me feel safe walking around at night ! I definitely recommend taking them up on their vegetable garden. I’ve never had tomatoes that yummy . I am looking forward to going back soon, so please don’t be my competition on booking it, LOL

The hosts were very nice and welcoming and showed us the place upon our arrival. The tent was cute and the beds were comfortable. Outdoor bathroom/shower was great. We especially enjoyed the pool after a long hike at Lake Jennings. I hope we can come back again. It was a nice, relaxing getaway from home.

Wish I could have stayed longer. Heather's place is heavenly, and the tent and private, outdoor bathroom were gorgeous, really exceeded my expectations. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a quirky getaway at the edge of SD.

When we drove through the neighborhood to get to the camp area, we were a little deterred because it looks like you are in a cookie cutter neighborhood. Once we arrived, the hosts were so sweet and showed us the place. Everything was absolutely perfect and just as pictured. We spent the day at Lake Jennings and then arrived at camp in the afternoon to bbq and spend some time at the pool. The bed is super comfy too! Would definitely stay here again!
