Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Try out camping without having to rough-it! Or swing through for a safe place to spend the night in your van, or tent, while taking advantage of San Diego and all it has to offer! Within 30 miles or so, you can plan a visit to the Zoo, Museums, Sea World, Scripps Aquarium, Safari Park, the beaches, mountain lakes or deserts nearby! San Diego Canyon Creek is a small patch of woods, near a road, in a neighborhood. We are surrounded by rocky peaks, with a creek that most often runs year round! We have multiple species of song birds, owls, hawks, and other wildlife that live in this Riparian Habitat, with a chorus of frogs throughout the summer nights. It's a very short walk to the neighborhood park- equipped with several types of playground equipment and public creek access, or a five minute drive to a Crestridge Ecological Preserve containing multiple trails. If you'd like to hang out on the property, we offer a table and chairs with each campsite to lounge in while enjoying the fresh air and nature. There are also a couple of hammocks available. In addition, our SHARED amenities include an outdoor kitchen with a double sink with hot water, mini fridge, coffee maker, a two burner stove, a griddle, a toaster oven, blender, tea kettle, and a few plates, bowls, cups, and utensils. Also here to SHARE is a Propane fire pit and BBQ area. The bathroom now includes a flush toilet, sink and shower. We are continuously making improvements. Fun Fact: Harbison Canyon was named after John Stewart Harbison - aka the King of the Bee Keepers. He arrived with over one hundred colonies of bees in 1874 and within 7 years he became the world's largest honey producer! Today there are just a few bees in the area.

Honeycomb Cabin
Had a fabulous time this weekend at Honeycomb campsite. We enjoyed the amenities, the site had great shade for the summer. We also enjoyed a near by hike that had a decent canopy and a relaxing walk. It’s about 2 miles from the campsite. Laura is extremely communicative and very hospitable. The creek and frogs are relaxing to listen to at night. The kitchen is fully stocked and fridge is ready to good to have!

Waterfall Campsite
A plentiful home base!
We loved this place. The park is a short walk away. It gets a bit hot in the summer and buggy, but the kitchen was a game changer. We liked the bathroom and shower. Laura was so nice and accommodating. We ended up at Hawks nest which was really nice but I think creekside is the best spot. Waterfall wasn’t my favorite of the three. But works great for two groups wanting to camp next to each other waterfall and creekside. Good location. Close to the beach. Overall I recommend this place. We’d stay here again!

Creekside Campsite
Single mommy, 2 kids and dog
We felt so welcome by the host and even the other campers. The water features, especially the creek, were most welcoming from the heat of midsummer. The trees and sheltered kitchen also helped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and getting to connect with our host and fellow campers. Highly recommended with gratitude for such a lovely local stay to SD passing through.
