The retreat makes it home on 15 acres graced with meandering creeks, a pond, ancient oaks and native flora and fauna. Nestled into the natural landscape are four charming cabins and eight scenic camping areas available for day-use and extended stays. Amenities include BBQ grills, mini fridges and bathrooms with refreshingly hot showers. Depending upon the specific rental, amenities vary from private use to shared. During your stay with us, you’re welcome to explore an onsite labyrinth, hike the tranquil mountains, dip your toes in the creek and admire the wildlife. You’re also invited to join our yogis in practice on the meditation platform and relax into the calming ruffle of a nearby waterfall. Private and semi-private yoga sessions are available; please inquire further for session booking details. Svatantria is honored to acknowledge the First Peoples to this land, the Kumeyaay, who inhabited this region for more than 10,000 years. As the current stewards of this land on which Svatantria resides, we endeavor to maintain its sacred and nurturing aspects and invite you to join us in this journey.

Shakti Cabin + tent sites
We loved the Shakti Cabin and the entire property! Pictures can’t do it justice. Stuart has put so much work and love into every piece of the property. The cabin was cozy and clean with so many cute touches, gorgeous views, beautiful firepit, and a deck to enjoy it all from. The creek at the middle of the property is a peaceful spot as well. Grateful to Stuart and Janelle for creating such a beautiful spot.

Shiva Cabin + Tentsite
Loved this trip so much! Stuart and Karla were so nice to us, they really made sure we got everything we needed and were very accommodating to our request for an extra car spot which was so sweet. The views were amazing, we came for the stars and they were incredible. There was another camper there and although they were close, we never heard them or bothered each other so I would say there is a good level of privacy. The only "downside" I would say is that the door to the Shiva Cabin is very tough to open and close. Sometimes we couldn't close it all the way, but it really wasn't a big deal. Highly recommend booking this trip!

Needs some minor upgrades
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, a few things could be improved. There needs to be more solar as the fridge only lasts 1.5 days and we were here 3 days and woke up to a warm fridge. The water heater works intermittently. The path to Shakti would benefit from being widened as it the farthest cabin and hauling our gear and coolers was difficulty, even with the provided cart. I think the cabins and surrounding area are still being fixed up and the price is a little steep for the current condition. Stuart the onsite host is amazing and very helpful and kind.

Everything about this place is great - the cabin, the deck with fireplace, the kitchen, the outdoor shower, and the *location.* Our family had a wonderful time and we can't wait to go back!

Family quality time
Had a great time at Shiva Cabin. Had all the things we needed. First time to use a compost toilet and it was interesting but got the job done. The simple outdoor shower was great. It was a bit warm during the day but got really cool at night which made for good night sleep. Definitely bring some insect repellent. Place was quiet and peaceful. Had some really good quality time with my wife and 2 boys (oops adult men). Karla was great too. Prior to our stay she answered all our question as this was our first time for glamping. She greeted us on our arrival and got us all settled in. Would definitely good back for some rest and relaxation.
