We bought this 1 Acre property surrounded by crops in 2013. The original farm house was built in 1952. It was a local hang out for all the kids on this road, of which most still currently reside. Our journey started here with a simple little cute house surrounded by dirt... We have worked non stop to make it our home. We've added a shop, built a master suite and put in trees, gains and pool. We built a poolhouse for guests and have added it to the airbnb community. We later built a pig barn and expanded our chicken coop. We enjoy gardening, growing pumpkins for our grandkids. We have multiple fruit trees in hopes to have lots of fruit to share . We love be outside 99% of the time. BBQ & sports, are always enjoyed, especially if it's football! Trailers must be self contained.  We have tiny rooster, Little John, 17 hens and a mini schnauzer. Fresh eggs are always available during your stay. We’re 2.5 miles from city limits. Close enough to stores and restaurants but far enough away for a quiet stay. We have lots of local winery’s within 20 minutes, hot air ballooning and an abundance of lakes within a few hours. Shanna and Garth’s property is a short drive from the city of Grass Valley, and has a large grassy pad for camping with a 30-amp electrical hookup. The pad has beautiful views of the surrounding area, and I was steps away from the barn where they keep alpacas, goats, pigs, chickens, and a horse. Love Creek is a sanctuary where these older animals can live the balance of their lives in a peaceful, caring environment. It was wonderful to wake up every day surrounded by nature! Shanna was super helpful in guiding me in, getting me settled, and sharing stories of their animals.

We had a great time staying at Shanna's place. My kids loved the animals and thought it was so cool that they were just walking around. We had a pop-up trailer and were able to hook up to electric or water (we only did electric). There is a small shared bathroom, but probably better if you were self contained. The location is beautiful, and other than the animals making their usual funny sounds, it is a quiet area. They had a BBQ grill we could use, small gas fire pit, and a table and chairs. We only live 1 hour away, so this was a fun experience for us to do for a weekend with the kids!

Weekend Trip to Jones Bar Farm

Super lovely hipcamp! Jones Bar Farm is up on a hilltop with beautiful rolling views, sunsets, a pond (seasonal?) and a symphony of wildlife sounds to lull you to sleep. I was here in March when the hills were green. I'd guess that this region is brown grass most of the year, but it would still be beautiful. Ann was a great host and shared a couple of fresh, delicious eggs from her hens! I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Weekend Trip to Shady In-Town Creekside Campsite

Drove in and initially had a hard time finding the entrance. However, we messaged the host and they came out and guided us. Once parked, they showed us where the best spot is for hook ups. It was beautiful, quiet, and there weren’t a lot of campers there. The location allowed for us to go visit Grass Valley and Nevada City and just relax. Hosts were A+++, we had a great time & will definitely return.

1 night at Shady In-Town Creekside Campsite

Very quiet and secluded area. Just minutes away from town made it easy to come and go. We pulled in at dusk and someone was there to direct me to the water and electric hook ups. Highly recommended!
