This spot is ideal for cooling off in the trees after a summer show, hitting the Yuba River, or simply soaking up the foothill charm. 🌿 What You’ll Find: • A private, tree-lined yard with a trickling creek (NID ditch) and chairs by the water • Electric + water hookups available near a cement pad • Flexible parking for vans, cars, or small trailers—park under the trees or near the house • Just 10–15 minutes from Nevada County’s best lakes, trails, and swimming holes • Easy access to coffee, music venues, markets, and shops in downtown Grass Valley and Nevada City This is a low-key, relaxing space for self-contained campers, digital nomads, or travelers who want to enjoy both nature and culture. Stargaze, unwind, and enjoy a quiet night—then head into town for brunch or a hike the next morning.Enjoy a nice nature spot close to town. The property is minutes away from Downtown Grass Valley. Drove in and initially had a hard time finding the entrance. However, we messaged the host and they came out and guided us. Once parked, they showed us where the best spot is for hook ups. It was beautiful, quiet, and there weren’t a lot of campers there. The location allowed for us to go visit Grass Valley and Nevada City and just relax. Hosts were A+++, we had a great time & will definitely return.

Very quiet and secluded area. Just minutes away from town made it easy to come and go. We pulled in at dusk and someone was there to direct me to the water and electric hook ups. Highly recommended!

I did not end up staying here. I was in Grass Valley for the Fall Strawberry Music Festival at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, and the day prior to the event, friends of mine ended up with room for me to camp near them at the Fairgrounds. Elizabeth was very responsive to my messages from my initial reservation to my change of plans!

The site was quiet overnight, and we managed to find a flat spot in the mowed field (behind the host’s home).. Appreciated access to a water tap. Otherwise little value for the price. Next time we’ll find a place to boondocks.

Just a perfect spot for our camper and our dog - sunny & shady, peaceful and serene, close enough to town to ride our e-bikes yet acres of land with tall pines to feel you’re in the country. No airplane noise, no hwy noise and barely road noise - a lot to do in town and around the area, so much so that we extended stay and booked another 4 days in June. Host was available for questions & recommendation's and very pleasant - can’t wait to visit again.

This is our second stay at Peaceful Pines in Nevada City. This Hipcamp RV site is quite convenient for us as well as quiet and peaceful. The site itself is flat, relatively private, and comfortable. The weather during our stay was quite windy and rainy, so we didn't spend any time outside, but we felt quite safe and comfortable. Yes, I highly recommend this Hipcamp.

Excellent location very peaceful. This area is really nice. Wonderful restaurants and sightseeing in nature. Elizabeth was responsive and gave us our space. We brought our 35 ft Jayco white hawk trailer and parked in an open sunny spot. We were off grid for 3 days with solar.. We have T-Mobile and our reception was perfect. 5 bars streaming everything. Highly recommend.

We camped here in our Class B van. We loved this hipcamp site. It was convenient, private and no hassle. We were in GV to visit old friends and this hipcamp worked out great for us. we definitely would stay there again next time we are in the area.

It was a nice stay near town with lots of space behind the owners house. Lots of trees for shade and semi easy access from the road (we fit our 24ft trailer back there). The neighbors have dogs that bark a lot during the day but it seems like they are brought inside at night which is nice for sleeping. Overall, we would stay again if we come back to grass valley.

Elizabeth has the perfect spot to camp if you want to be close to town. We heard owls in the trees at night. It was private and conveniently located for everything we wanted to do. Ridge Road is busy but we were able to walk our dogs in a neighborhood not too far away. We highly recommend staying!

We absolutely loved everything about our stay. We had plenty of room to spread out with my 8 year old and our doggie. I was able to workout side, work out and play by the creek. We had a wonderful time in Nevada city at kundalini yoga, ecstatic dance and the Victorian Christmas festival. It was such a joy to come home to a starry filled sky away from any noise. Elizabeth was very responsive and supported us trouble shooting something’s. We would definitely stay again! Thank you. 🌹
