The river rose unexpectedly yesterday, about a 3 feet. There is no indication when it might recede. For the sake of safety, canoes and kayaks are not allowed until the river recedes. Fishing is still allowed from the bank.
(Cole Ranch is a working ranch, surrounded by walnut and almond orchards. Harvest for these orchards occur mid-August thru September, and can create dust and noise. Occasional noise from common ranching activities may be heard. Landscaping activities like mowing, watering, etc. generally occur Mondays-Wednesdays) Check back here periodically for advisories on river conditions.

You will be in gold country where you can still find gold in the creek to this day! If you're lucky, you might find a nugget, but there's mostly pickers and fines.
The nights are absolutely stunning for viewing the stars with no light pollution. You will have almost complete privacy, with the exception of an occasional over head aircraft. I have only one group at a time.

Ryan was very welcoming and helpful. It was a great spot to stop and set up camp. He has EVERYTHING you need except a bed and food. He had lights set up, a shower, a full propane grill with two burners and tons of tables as well as a spot to do dishes. He gave great recommendations and his dogs were ADORABLE too. They are very friendly even with our dog who wasn’t so friendly so be careful about keeping your dog on leash if they have a high prey drive. I cannot say enough how awesome he was. Thanks again Ryan!

An added bonus is that is was decorated so nicely for Valentine's weekend. She was so friendly and went above and beyond. It was such a relaxing and peaceful area. The spot is quiet, the bathroom is lovely, and the water is the best I've ever tasted, straight from the hose! Ryan was a great host and very gracious. We purchased firewood from him and he brought us kindling twice when we were having trouble, teaching us about making fires along the way. We have an RV, but there is an outhouse with toilet and hot shower, and a sink to do dishes on the other side. Great view of the stars with minimal light pollution. Would recommend.

We wanted to take our new van on its first overnight and Delta Shores is nearby! It was easy to find, we were welcomed and given the lay of the land. It’s a great spot with clean bathrooms. We were definitely rough out as our van hasn’t been converted to a camper yet but we had a blast! Took a great walk along the delta both in the evening and the next morning. Will return! Dog loved it!

My partner and I loved staying at Cole’s Ranch! Barry is extremely hospitable and organized. All of the amenities he provides were also super clean; we really appreciated the clean bathroom and kitchen area. Highly recommend the tour he provides as well! We ended up booking the hay ride and cow/calf experience and all of their cows were friendly and loved being pet. We’re definitely going to come back again next time!

Great location! My stay at the Foxes Farm was exactly what I was looking for. It was calm and quiet and allowed me a chance to relax and recharge. Kat and Steve were wonderful hosts, warm and welcoming and super friendly. I highly recommend getting the apple turnovers! They were amazing and reason enough to stay here again.

The RV sites are well laid out, spacious, and flat, next to a lovely pomegranate orchard and near a pleasant river. Barry was extremely friendly and helpful, greeting us when we got there and showing us around the amenities. The boats available for use were great, and the kitchen area provided a place with hot water on demand to do dishes so we didn’t have to heat it up on our stove. My only regret was not bringing fishing gear along; maybe next time, since we will definitely keep this on our list of places to come back to.

What I loved about the Farm View site was an electric hook up and the use of a clean bathroom and shower.
Please note this is a farming community with chickens (roosters) and dogs in the neighborhood. That is the noise that is around. There are other people on the property at other sites. Kat is super accommodating and nice. I have stayed here twice and hope to be back.

Kat’s place was a perfect overnight spot. It was nice to have a full bathroom. Quiet and safe. Loved waking up to the roosters. The apple turnovers were honestly the best I’ve ever had!
