Congratulations Campers! The campground is reopened after the last couple of years of wild fires and tough winters. We are reopened even as repairs and upgrades are being made. Thank you to all visitors who love this place for your patience as we continue to improve the features of the Campground. Stay tuned for progress reports. We hope to see you real soon. Visit, fish, or camp in a rare jewel forest, hidden in the Sierra/Cascade foothills, less than an hour's drive to Chico, Oroville, or Paradise. Surviving forests of mature cedars, pines, oaks, and madrones provide shady camping, fishing along the lake shore, or picnicing along the banks of the creek that runs through a recovering creekside area. Stargaze or fly kites in our Great Meadow or admire copious wildflowers and other native plants on over 80 acres of wilderness. We provide a variety of recovering wilderness areas near water faucets, pit toilets and an RV dump station. Our site features mature forests, grassy meadows, a year-round creek in a fire recovery zone. The site also features lakefront shoreline access for bank fishing, a central fire pit and lots of space for group camping. Fires are permitted in the central pit when weather allows. The Lake Concow/Konkow Campground is a wilderness sanctuary and houses many variety of rare and endangered plants, animals, and insects. Please be aware of and give respectful space to all of the residents of the park. The list of year round residents may include poison oak, thorny berry vines, mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, deer, eagles, osprey, owls, squirrels, skunks, foxes, bears, mountain lions, snakes, bats, and more. Please be responsible for personal camp supplies and trash. The Campground is a Pack In/Pack Out location and garbage cans are supplied near the office house near the entrance. Good hiking shoes, protective clothing, and hats are recommended. All Campground faucets supply delicious, potable water tested regularly. The modern listings spell the name Concow, Ancestors spelled it Konkow. Both are correct, though may give different search results. There is plenty of room for parking large vehicles and for turning around. TOW VEHICLES MUST STAY THE DURATION OF THE CAMPING VISIT. Just north of Portola, the Lake Davis Recreation Area features a 5.1-mile hiking trail along the lake's east shore, providing access to beautiful campgrounds. An additional four miles of trails were added last year, enhancing the area's appeal. Dog lovers will be pleased to know that leashed pets are welcome on all National Forest hiking trails, although within Plumas-Eureka State Park, dogs are restricted to the Grass Lake trail. Mill Creek Resort is magical! This is the perfect location for exploring Lassen National Park or just being. The grounds are lovely and Mill Creek runs along the edge of the property. I stayed in an rv spot and those sites are close together, but I didn’t mind and I appreciated the convenience of having water, power and sewer hook ups. There was a small creek running behind the rvs, which is nice sound to fall asleep to. Nice people there and a really great vibe. I will definitely be back!

The Butterfly Yurt is the perfect glamping spot! It's private, comfortable, and has just enough amenities to make the stay easy yet with the camping feel. Lori and Lucky were great hosts -- nearby if needed but out of sight and earshot. The location is great for access to Quincy, the Feather River canyon, the Lakes region (the hike to the Sierra Buttes lookout is epic!), swimming, hot springs, etc. Or just laze on the yurt's deck with a cup of coffee and read. We hope to go back again soon.

2 nights at Tambo Ranch Tiny House Village
This was the perfect place to take a day or two and just relax. The tiny house had just enough kitchen that for a short stay you didn’t need to go out unless you wanted to. It was impressively efficient. I did bring a cooler because I like cold beverages, but the small fridge would be enough for the yogurts and cheese I brought with for my 2 night stay.
I had a nice time playing with the kittens, Caspian the dog, (who dutifully slept on my porch) and exploring the property.
The bed downstairs was very comfortable and it was nice falling asleep to the sounds of nature outside. 10/10 recommend!

This was our first time camping in a yurt- or any premade structure for that matter! I couldn’t complain about a single thing, there was so much more provided in the yurt than we could have imagined. There is basically a full kitchen set up witch dishes and utensils, extra blankets, fire wood for the fire place, A SHOWER, toilet paper, lighters, even cooking oil! It was such a relaxing get away for my family and I. We had such a blast exploring the property, going to the swimming hole basically 3 minutes away, and just enjoying each others company. Although the structure itself is rather close to the home, it still feels so secluded and like you’re right in the middle of nowhere. If you’re thinking about pulling the trigger on something nice for camping, don’t bother looking anywhere else!

Really neat little ranch property with 3 cozy abodes to rent. The tiny cabin we stayed in was very clean and thoughtfully designed to maximize the space. It was very hot the weekend we visited so thankful for the AC unit which got our house down to comfortable within seconds! Our kids loved the chickens, sheep, and llama!. Downtown Chico is only 15-20 mins away and Oroville only 20-30, lots of options! Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Tambo Ranch Tiny House Village
I originally booked the airstream for a little getaway with my husband and our daughter, but he unfortunately became a bit ill and decided to stay home. At the last minute I decided to still go, taking our 17 month old daughter on our first Mother-Daughter glamping trip. It was the best decision ever!
I asked If we could switch to the Tiny Home w/ a king bed and Carolyn and Julio happily obliged. The space was absolutely beautiful, immaculately clean and had everything we needed. They even welcomed us with farm fresh eggs and delicious homemade muffins! All of the cute and friendly animals on the property kept my daughter and I thoroughly entertained. We especially loved playing with all the kittens roaming around and we had a blast feeding the chickens.
I loved chatting with Carolyn and Julio and getting to know them a bit. They are such kind and loving people who truly made my daughter and I feel right at home. I am already planning our next visit back!
