There is not cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas, due to flies and critters. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery). In the past we let people cook and eat around the pool but now our whole property is fly infested and I find scattered leftovers on the ground. Thanks for understanding. Steve and Ceci are such lovely and down to earth people! Staying at their place was really enchanting, the cabin feels like something out of Snow White-it’s simple but also very detailed and you can tell thought was put in the space. The clawfoot bathtub was wonderful, and despite the winter chill the place managed to stay warm. There’s a bookshelf full of books with California flora and fauna. Their dogs are funny and very active, and there’s maybe about. 60 chickens there? Both domestic and wild. Both the area in the back next to the cows and the highway besides the river were lovely to walk beside and explore. Overall it was a wonderful way to get away from the hustle and hustle of things and relax and explore! Hope to be back soon 💕

Wow! What a treat. The Creek Site is private, quiet, and so peaceful. We travel with a little one, and we felt safe and comfortable the whole time. The short hike from the site to the creek was the perfect challenge for the kiddo's little legs. We were immersed in nature and lulled to sleep by the sound of the creek below, but the property was also just a short drive to nearby amenities and attractions. (We couldn't miss the steam train in Felton.) Doug was very communicative and friendly. We will definitely come back.

Great secluded spot in the redwoods! You’ll have the nice cleared wooded area to yourselves. We stayed at campsite 1 up top. Campsite 2 is about a mile down the dirt road closer to the creek. It’s a nice hike down and gets pretty steep at the end. There are no toilets, but well water. We had no problem driving our 2 wheel drive camper van there. Just the camping we like. Beautiful woodsy area and just us! Nice hosts, we’ll be back!

We had the most incredible time at Redwood Basin HipCamp! The A-frame has absolutely amazing views, and the container setup was perfect with a clean restroom, great shower, and a super comfortable sleeping space. The Airstream was cute, fun, and such a unique touch. Our kids loved pitching a tent as well right on the property, and the outdoor kitchen was one of our favorite parts, beautifully stocked and so easy to cook in. The outdoor shower and bath tucked into the redwoods is truly unmatched… such a peaceful, unforgettable experience. And the trampoline in the middle of the trees? So fun! Our whole family had a blast. To top it all off, the host was wonderful, responsive, helpful, and made everything feel easy. We can’t recommend Redwood Basin enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Very pretty property with great hosts. We were not able to get in until very late and they very graciously accommodated us. They have water and wood that smells amazing when burned and a nice box of goodies including popcorn and colored fire packs. One note is the sites are next to each other and not visually separated, similar to state parks.

View of RV/Tent Site #2. We have the picnic table and are adding it this week along with a fire pit/ring with cooking grate. You can choose how you want to park your RV or place your tent. It’s a pretty big space!

Weekend Trip to Redwood Basin

We had such a memorable experience staying here! It was more than we normally spend on accommodations, but it was worth it for how unique and special our time was here. The kids absolutely loved the trampoline in the circle of redwoods. My sister strung up her hammock between two trees and I enjoyed drinking my morning coffee there while the kids bounced. I had the best bath of my life in the outdoor tub - it was a perfect size, the water was nice and hot, and the cool November air kept me cool while I enjoyed the view and the twinkle lights. We got a lot of use out of the fire pit (and outdoor blankets) and the stocked outdoor kitchen. It was handy to have a sink and mini-fridge both outside in the kitchen and in the shipping container near the coffee maker. We were so lucky it didn't rain so we could enjoy all the outdoor spaces! The sleeping arrangements were perfect for 5 of us - the kids in the A-frame, my husband and me in the shipping container, and my sister and her small dog in the airstream. The A-frame beds were foam on wood (not mattresses), so may not be comfortable for everyone, but the A-frame was so cozy and fun and has such a beautiful view. The pull-out bed in the shipping container was very comfortable for me (5'8") and my husband (6') but he said his feet were hanging off a little. The small heaters in each space kept it nice and toasty, and there were plenty of blankets and pillows. Laura was so helpful. We highly recommend it!

I had a wonderful stay here. The silence, stars, multitude of birds (including Sandhill Cranes!), water, and joyful farm animals were restorative for my soul. The rustic and charming cabin was delightful with a window view of splendid sunsets, cool art and stylistic decor, an efficient heater, and a spacious bathtub. The hosts were gracious, responsive, welcoming, and thoughtful; they went above and beyond in making sure my stay went well.

We wanted to take our new van on its first overnight and Delta Shores is nearby! It was easy to find, we were welcomed and given the lay of the land. It’s a great spot with clean bathrooms. We were definitely rough out as our van hasn’t been converted to a camper yet but we had a blast! Took a great walk along the delta both in the evening and the next morning. Will return! Dog loved it!
