This 60 acre property is located approximately 3 miles east of San Gregorio Beach in the San Gregorio area. There is no home here, only a travel trailer on the Upper Meadow. It is very peaceful, quiet and beautiful throughout the seasons.
We are 5 minutes away from the San Gregorio General Store and cafe and 20 minutes from Alice's Restaurant. We have great cell coverage for Verizon, AT&T and Visible. Experience shows that T-Mobile does not work here and I don't know about the other internet providers.
There are four campsites, each with easy 4WD access. Two of the sites offer total isolation with amazing views while the third site, while in a nice setting, is more useful for a quick overnight stay with no views of the ocean or canyon. Please note that five easy-going cows (no bulls) reside on this property.
Dear winter and spring campers, please consider using "Sensible Weather" for your trip protection in the event of heavy rain or even high temperatures in the summer and fall. The trip to the site will begin with a three mile drive on a private dirt road. Being on the very top of a mountain brings more seasonality than the surrounding cities. Please be prepared for any kind of extreme weather. Summer: Shade is highly recommended it can get into triple digits. *Spring/fall: Temperatures are generally mild but high winds are possible. *Winter: Typically cold and windy. *During rainy/muddy conditions 4x4/AWD is highly recommended. It is possible for it to get windy, foggy, rainy, hot and sunny, and even sometimes snowy.
Please note: the nearest grocer is 30 minutes from this site. Emergency supplies are available for delivery to your campsite. Cell phone reception is good on most carriers. Pets are allowed. Enjoy your time howling at the moon, star gazing, bird watching/wildlife viewing, or relaxing with your favorite libation.
Don't forget your camera!
Since this is our first year renting our land we have found that August is a high wasp season time in the mountains. We are doing everything humanly possible to hunt down each and every Wasp for your enjoyment. With this in mind we ask you use the provided bug repellent, keep the lid to the trash closed, and do not pour grease anywhere you do not want wasps.

This is a great place to get away and come camp here in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a perfect location for tent camping or come park your trailer or Motorhome/Bus. We have great hiking in the near area and 5 miles away there is great mountain biking trails. A world renoun mountain bike spot with intermediate to experienced trails for riders of all levels. 5 miles down the road as well is buzzard lagoon and is a great Dirt biking/4-wheeling location. It is a fun spot for all off road inthusiast!
Your camping site is on a flat plateu and is an ideal spot to park your trailer, motorhome or tent camp. With Complete privacy with views of the pacific ocean and South county's Monterey bay with a 180 degree view as well as San jose and Morgan Hill.
For the wine inthusiast, Loma Prieta winery is 5.5 miles away along with Windy Oaks Winery that is 3.7 miles away that is located on the "Wine trail" that has alots of winerys to offer in a beautiful location.
A Day of fun for the family at Gilroy Gardens that is 15.5 miles away.
The beach is 30-40 minutes away with great surfing and body boarding up and down the coastline.
When in route once you get off the paved road from north or south stay on the dirt road for 15-20 more minutes.
The location is very private it is on its own parcel with a gate. If you leave the property please be mindful of staying off of other private properties.

Robin and Ray were absolutely wonderful hosts and made our stay at Strawberry Fields so welcoming and comfortable. The property was peaceful, beautiful, and a perfect place to relax near the coast.
They went above and beyond during our stay. They provided us with fresh eggs and firewood, and having hookups and toilets available made camping so convenient. What I appreciated most was how helpful and kind they were when I was having several issues with my rental RV. They personally helped me with the hookups and tried to troubleshoot the leaks and hot-water problems I was experiencing with the RV. Their willingness to step in and help really meant a lot, especially when I was dealing with problems that had nothing to do with their property.
Robin and Ray were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared that we were comfortable. Their hospitality made such a difference in our trip. I would happily stay at Strawberry Fields again and highly recommend it to other Hipcampers looking for a peaceful stay with truly wonderful hosts. ❤️

This is a very well located basic camp lot adjacent to pleasure point in the town of Capitola, CA. The hosts are friendly and effective - bathrooms, with showers are clean. Spots are close together but most campers had outside room to set up chairs, stoves etc.. The best part about this site is its location. I can pedal to anything I need as well as the beach. I will be coming back here. Thanks very much

Nice place to camp! The Friendly host available to answer questions and make us feel welcomed. They even offered us fresh eggs from their own chickens! We had the small camp area to ourselves. There’s a nice fire pit with free wood. The free beach nearby is a short walking along the road and theres a staircase with no hand rail. But there’s also a very nice state beach a little farther down the road that charges $10. (you might get a discount if you have a California library card.) I highly recommend this camp spot & hope to visit again.

I stumbled into the 92nd birthday of Lupin Lodge and it was so cute and fun! I successfully drove my 35ft long RV into and out of the super narrow and windey driveway with no issue! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The only issue was that dinner was so popular that the kitchen ran out of the main dish, but overall amazing weekend.
