Enjoy easy access to nature, cities, and wineries, right from your RV campsite near Benecia.
Just north of Oakland on the San Pablo Bay, Benicia makes a fantastic base for RVers who want easy access to both Bay Area attractions and to the Napa and Sonoma wine countries. There are tons of natural areas to check out within easy reach of the city, including the John Muir National Historic Site, the Grizzly Island Wildlife Area, and the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge. A few RV parks can be found in and around town, and the Benicia State Recreation Area offers three campsites for self-contained vehicles (RVs, trailers, campervans, etc.) on a first-come, first-served basis. There are also plenty of private options within easy reach of Benicia available on Hipcamp, ranging from ranch stays with hookups and room for multiple groups of RVers to backyard setups that accommodate one group at a time.
