The most beautiful, luxurious and well setup dome camp of all time! The setting was so beautiful and tranquil, the amenities were so clean and welcoming! Our crew had the best time star gazing, wine-sipping and snores-making at Aaron’s camp. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to The Olive Farm

Olive Farm Camp was a perfect last minute getaway. Only a 40 minute drive from our home in Oakland, but secluded and peaceful enough to feel like we got off the grid for a night. The grounds are lovely and the way the land is situated, you can’t see any roads or buildings, so it feels like you’re isolated there. We parked our truck under a beautiful oak tree, which gave us plenty of shade. We also brought our dog, who loved hunting ground squirrels (there are lots on the property) and swimming in the pond.

Redwood Paradise is a magical place! The host, her son and dog were amazing and incredibly kind and welcoming. The mix of serene redwoods, classical piano music played by Marshall (host’s son), and Peruvian coffee in the morning make the ambience for this retreat truly unique. We were at site 2 which had beautiful evening lighting coming in just after 6 PM. Make sure your tent faces the west :) We highly recommend Redwood Paradise!

3 nights at The Olive Farm

There’s a ton of great things to name about the Olive Farm camp. What I and my family loved most was that you have a lot of land to yourself and it is quiet most of the time; we did hear planes overhead, voices from nearby houses, and the occasional staff that we saw, but other than that it was very nice. I will say that this spot is not for those who want hardcore wilderness, as you will not be as immersed into the wilderness as you would be deeper into the woods. We did see deer (when it was quiet) and lots of hawks and vultures. There was a lot of trash left by prior campers that I picked up, and was not particularly happy to see that. Not the owners fault, but it is something to note. As well as the fact that the photos listed for Olive Farm Camp are a bit dated and some of the amenities are not the same as it is now as of June 2025. There was a missing flipper for the kayak oar and the wood for the boat looked worse for wear. The handle bars for the dock were also loose. However, I still enjoyed thoroughly the massive pond as it was beautiful to walk to in the mornings and see at night. All to yourself. The bathrooms are two porta-potties (there being two is very nice) and they were very very clean and smelled great when we found them. No matter what time of year you go, bring plenty of warm clothes and blankets for the night. You will get cold, especially if there is wind. Overall, this is a great spot for families and large groups especially.

I was here just a few weeks ago and couldn’t wait to come back—so I did! That’s how much I love this spot. This time, I brought my mom and nephew for their very first camping trip, and it was perfect. The site is only about 15 minutes from town, which makes it super easy to grab anything you might’ve forgotten. There’s water available for washing dishes (so we only had to bring drinking water), and the composting toilet has been moved further from the campfire—yay! It’s still very convenient and easy to access (even with kids), but now there’s even more space to gather and relax around the fire. Such a thoughtful improvement. Can’t wait to come back again! It’s the perfect low effort, accessible camping. You still get the privacy, the redwoods, the peacefulness… but without all the effort it takes to camp in more remote places.

The Blackberry Farm is a very nice place to stay. It is quiet, beautiful and a great location, walking distance to Bolinas. Best for tent camping, but we were just fine sleeping in our van. The facilities are very nice, exceeding our expectations. The host is friendly and helpful. We would love to stay here again.

Such a Hidden Gem – Even Better Than the Photos! We had a fantastic stay at Yenyen’s campground! It’s super dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for us, and the whole place was incredibly clean and well-kept. The hot water, plumbed toilets, and showers made camping feel like a treat, not a chore. We really enjoyed meeting other campers during our stay—it had a great, welcoming vibe. Honestly, the current pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s even better in person and deserves to be shown off more! We’d absolutely come back. Highly recommend!

The original farmhouse dates back to the late 19th century and survived the great 1906 earthquake. Today, the 7-acre farm is being restored to sustainably support fruit orchards, cottage flower and kitchen gardens, honey bees, a boisterous flock of chickens, and naughty shetland sheep. Our self-serve farmstand attached to our barn has seasonal flowers, organic eggs, heirloom fruit, and local goods from the farm. Our property is the perfect rustic getaway for backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts. You’ll be surrounded by farm/ranch life: chickens clucking, roosters crowing, bees buzzing, and sheep bleating. PLEASE READ Hello all! If you're looking for some glamping with creature comforts, while just being 10 minutes away from restaurants. This is the place for you. We are a 5 acre property and home surrounded by tall redwood and oak trees. Very green and lots of shade. These are the amenities/facilities you will have free access to: Pool, Pool chairs and umbrellas, Deck area with sunset view, Trampolines, and hammocks. There is not cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas, due to flies and critters. Cooking and eating is only allowed by your sites and not in any common areas: Hammocks, Trampolines, Pool Area, tables, sink, and deck please follow this rule because we want to prevent our shared areas to be fly and bug infested. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery). In the past we let people cook and eat around the pool but now our whole property is fly infested and I find scattered leftovers on the ground. Thanks for understanding. THERE IS A 1-2 MINUTE HIKE TO THE CAMPSITES 1-5! Poolside campsites are closer to the parking and are bigger. CHECK OUT OUR NEW LODGING: This property is my home that I live in with my 2 kids. It is a rustic and homey vibe, definitely not a hotel. We want you to come knowing what to expect. Our property offers a pool, and trampolines for the kids. We have a deck patio area that overlooks an amazing view of the redwood forest. Most of our guests are those that come from foreign countries and they all LOVE the property. I love leaving a great impression of our area. CAMPGROUND GUIDELINES Pack out your trash. Rinse feet before using the pool. No pool toys or floaties. Always supervise kids. Don’t sit on chair edges or pool cover box. Use stumps or your own table for cooking (not ours). Keep the area clean—no food scraps on the ground. The Olive Farm

Excellent Group Site! We only host one group at a time so you can be with your family and friends in a large, flat and private space. We listed the site for up to 12 campers but feel free to reach out if your group is bigger. Please check out the newest addition of our cabin bunkhouse. Take a look at the pictures - you can add it to your stay as an extra when you book! The land was originally purchased in the 1980's. Since then, it has been used by four generations of the family as a place to gather, relax, camp and even celebrate. I had my wedding on the property in 2010. For a few years we held an annual music festival with the very inventive name of Samapalooza. Up to 400 people would attend the day filled with live music, food and drinks. You will still find the stage and bar we built as an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Around 2008, my father and I planted our first olive trees. Many have been planted since which has gifted the land the timeless sense of purpose it deserves. My father dedicated his last years to tending the young trees and now I have taken the mantle to carry the farm forward. 'The Property', as it is known amongst family and friends has always been a place to camp. I have sat around the same fire ring for decades, rain or shine. I hope that fellow hipcampers can find the joy that my family and I have experienced here. This is a very private camp on a small olive farm. Geographically close to highways and the town of Novato, Sonoma and Napa wine country, this camp feels remote and secluded. Only one camp on the property to keep it private and special. You basically have your run of the land. We have just updated the land and made some nice improvements. Located on ten acres, you will drive past a small olive grove before reaching the spacious and open campground. Just up the hill from the camp is a private pond where you can fish, take out a small boat or just sit and watch the birds. It can be great swimming on hot summer days. This spot has been used by the family for decades and is now open to share with fellow nature lovers. Just a note: While the majority of the time you can expect complete privacy, this is a working olive farm. From time to time you may run into me (Sam) or someone else associated with the land. We will always do our best to respect your space.
