I loved the view and the common area, the ranch is truly special. The best shower ever, washing yourself and being able to see the sky above your head is an unforgettable experience.

The Ranch at Cross Road
The space was wide open and flat with perfect ground for tent camping. It was a bit hard to find a spot in the dark so highly suggest planning to set up before dusk, but there were a few light posts present. Check in and check out was simple, fast, and requires no human interaction. Area seems very safe - even more so with the fancy high tech gate system into the ranch - and the nearby downtown area is fancy. The restroom/shower room was clean but can be a bit of a walk from the camp sites, so plan accordingly. Morning dew made it so that your socks are likely to get wet making it to the restroom!

I enjoy staying at the Cross Roads in Livermore. Thee are many sites to choose from. The bathroom showers and facility are very clean with plenty of hot water. Real close to some great golfing and bike riding I recommend it to all

We recently spent a day at this amazing campsite and it was an absolute treat! The host was super flexible and welcoming, which made everything so easy and stress-free.
The common area was perfectly set up with a pergola for shade, games, and firepits—a great spot to relax, play, and just hang out. The outdoor kitchen with a grill and grass pit was incredible and made food prep so much fun. Even the bathroom facilities were clean and well-equipped, which was a nice touch for the evening.
Everything was thoughtfully arranged, making it feel cozy, fun, and effortless. Perfect spot for a evening getaway with friends or family - we’ll definitely be back!

The Ranch at Cross Road
It is a safe spot for a night or two. The property doesn’t offer much in terms of a view or places to explore but it does have an amazing bathroom with real plumbing and a shower. There’s nothing to shield you from wind or rain since there are no trees and you are camping in an open field. However, since it’s a very large field, there’s plenty of privacy, unless somebody brought binoculars.

The setting is beautiful. Out in the country with a very large hill behind you and many in front of you. Some livestock and QUIET. It is so quiet; it's wonderful. The physical spaces are wide set which is really nice. I couldn't hear our generator when I took our pup for her morning constitutional once I got to the next space. Having the gate for security is excellent. You get the code once your reservation is finalized. Matt was very responsive to emails sent thru Hipcamp. We'll stay at The Ranch again. We have a 35' motorhome and pull a Jeep.

The Ranch at Cross Road
Had a great experience camping here! The bathrooms can be a little bit of a walk from some of the sites, but I was impressed that the bathrooms were very clean and well stocked. I was extra impressed with the porta-potty’s automatic lights that flicked on when it was dark as well as the sink for hand washing outside.
This is a great place to camp if you have a large group since there are a lot of sites that can easily be combined. I’d recommend to arrive early if coming with a group and looking to combine sites since the sites are first come first serve.
Lake Del Valle was about 25 min drive away and there were several wineries within 1-15 minute drive. There was even a dispensary 6 minutes away which was a pleasant surprise.

Camping at Matt's ranch never disappoints. Fell asleep to near silence, woke to an occasional coyote call, and slept in until 8am when a far off rooster decided it was morning. Bathroom was clean, property was gorgeous, love this place.

Very quiet, few other campers spaced far apart on a level dirt acreage, nice views. When I was there the bathroom/shower building was not useable because of a damaged entry door that wouldn’t open. No one around to report it to. There was a porta potty in another area. The common gathering space under a gazebo had caution tape all around so also was not useable. An ok place for an overnight stay.

We really enjoyed tent camping here. It did get windy sometimes so make sure to bring some stakes and weight bags for your canopies. Lots of ants so take precautions. There was water and a picnic table at our site. The distance to the lake is not too bad and the campsite has good cell phone service with Verizon. We enjoyed the common space with clean gas grill and sink. Also loved that there were games to play in that area. The bathroom was nice too and had body soap in the shower, but the trash can in there needed to be emptied when we got there and wasn't throughout the duration of our 2 night stay. Other than that, definitely recommend!

Easy to find at night and a nice safe spot for a last minute overnight stopover. Shower was great in the morning, but I didn’t really get to stay and appreciate the land or common areas. Will continue to keep this place in mind for a quick car camp!
