The cabin sits on the hosts' property but is fully fenced in, giving you your own private little retreat. Loved the outdoor space. It has a cozy fire pit, lounge chairs, and the perfect setup for enjoying the cool evening air and stargazing after the sun goes down. Inside, the cabin has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The queen bed was incredibly comfortable, and loved that it even had a heated blanket for the cooler months. There's also an adorable fireplace that made the space feel extra cozy. We visited during the summer, so we didn't get to use it, but it would be the perfect place to curl up during the winter. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials, and we had no problem cooking a delicious dinner during our stay. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, always a nice bonus after spending time outdoors. Overall, this was such a lovely little getaway. The host was incredibly kind and you could tell they genuinely cared about creating a great experience for their guests. Would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful escape that's still conveniently close to LA.

Weekend Trip to Bakersfield Farm Animals & Pond

We had a wonderful overnight stay in the glamping tent. My partner and I took the Amtrak down from the Bay Area for a little getaway and study trip, and this farm was exactly what we needed. It was about a 30-minute Lyft ride from the train station. The host was responsive, reasonable, and even checked in to make sure we'd be able to get a ride back. We scheduled one ahead of time, and everything went smoothly. The glamping tent was spacious, thoughtfully set up, and very comfortable. We slept so well that we naturally woke up at 4:00 a.m. feeling completely rested and spent the quiet morning doing yoga and meditating before the farm came to life. We made the most of the property—paddling around the lake on the kayaks and stand-up paddleboard, relaxing on the swings on the dock, and even lighting a morning fire to watch the sunrise. The friendly guard dogs (who take their jobs seriously!), the duck, goats, turkeys, and peacocks gave the farm character. If you're looking for a peaceful place to unplug and reconnect with nature, we'd recommend staying here.

2 nights at A-Frame Bliss

Jessica’s cozy cabin was great for a writing retreat. The kitchen had everything I needed and the fireplace was an excellent touch to wind down each night. I was unable to get the upstairs AC to work, so it was a little warm at night because the heat rises in the A-frame, but other than that there were no hang-ups in the trip. Pine Mountain is such a quaint little area and I left feeling refreshed. Would recommend the waterfall hike and the Bear Claw Bakery.

Weekend Trip to A Unique Mountain Retreat

John’s property “unique mountain retreat” is just that! Beautiful views, and hiking trails, We stay in the studio cabin and it is very comfortable. John is an awesome host and very accommodating, He takes pride in his camp and makes sure everything is clean and that we have what we need. There is an Albertsons grocery in town, about a 15 minute drive. John is respectful of his guests privacy and available if needed. This trip we saw deer, Jack rabbits, ground squirrels and a momma quail and her babies following her across the road. We love our peaceful quiet respite here!

Weekend Trip to Lone Juniper Ranch

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Lone Juniper Ranch, and everyone in our group had a fantastic time. The highlight of our stay was being so close to the animals. It was a unique experience to wake up and see camels, llamas, guanacos, and donkeys just outside the cabin. They were gentle, fun to watch, and made our stay truly memorable. The ranch was peaceful and quiet, making it a perfect place to relax. At night, we enjoyed BBQ, stargazing, and simply spending time together around the cabin. The cabins were thoughtfully designed, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We especially appreciated how comfortable and cozy they felt. Marlin was friendly, responsive, and very accommodating throughout the booking process. Communication was excellent, and we always felt well taken care of. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by beautiful scenery and friendly animals, we highly recommend Lone Juniper Ranch. We would happily stay here again!
