This is a large flat site with rolling hills, lovely rural views, rolling oak studded pastureland, open views, lovely sunsets and beautiful mornings. Very quiet, private, peaceful and serene. Afternoon breezes while red tailed hawks ride the thermals, and woodpeckers work on their treasure hoarde. Spot the breeding pair of Bald Eagles who swoop down almost low enough to touch!
Wildlife abounds.
Easy access from Highway 101, yet private and secluded. Historic San Juan Bautista Mission and town nearby. Monterey/Carmel 30 minutes. Santa Cruz/Beaches 20 minutes. Hollister, Salinas, or Gilroy 20 minutes.

It was quite pleasant to deal with Edward, he was helpful, attentive and accommodating, easy and nice to talk as well. He was kind enough for us to use the bathroom in his garage. He also has an outdoor sink to use. The Wi-Fi access is nice to have. Nice tree shading and big open space. The neighborhood is really nice to walk around and felt safe. Really high end homes and massive land properties. Would highly recommend this camp site.

Pros: great communication, more rural feeling than I thought for how close it is to civilization (behind an undeveloped hill), every site has picnic table and fire pit, gate code worked flawlessly. There's a place to buy wood up the road
Cons: The ground is extremely compacted (hard to even insert tent stake) and grass consists almost entirely of spinas/stickerburrs and foxtails, dog owners be extra careful. Probably a non issue for RVers

I loved camping at this ranch! The land was beautiful and peaceful. The bathroom was clean and the shower was open air which was another very nice addition. If you need firewood there is a great place to buy local firewood a few blocks up the road on Cross Road before the turn off to the ranch. They take Zelle.
Pet owners beware/everyone in general, there are a lot of ticks hiding in the grass. We found a few on our dog so just make sure to do a thorough check on yourself and your pets.

Our stay at this outdoor campsite was absolutely unforgettable. From the very beginning, Matt stood out as an exceptional host—his communication was prompt, clear, and incredibly helpful. He made sure we had all the information we needed and set the perfect expectations for our visit.
We originally planned to stay just one night since my partner had a business meeting nearby, and I was simply tagging along. But everything changed the moment we woke up the next morning. The views were breathtaking—peaceful, expansive, and truly rejuvenating. We instantly knew one night wasn’t enough and decided to extend our stay.
To our delight, the weather added even more magic to the experience. We were able to enjoy both beautiful sunshine and rain, each bringing its own charm to the landscape. It made the entire stay feel even more special and memorable.
This campsite offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and thoughtful hosting. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about our next visit. We will absolutely be back!

Lots a space between sites, and the area was very quiet aside from a pack of coyotes in the distance. The restroom facility is great, and we loved being able to look up at the stars while we showered.

I have camped with my pop up camper at the Ranch at the Cross Roads a handful of times. It is very convienant and a great place to stay. The bathroom and shower are excellent. Always clean and comfortable I will continue to stay on this property in the future.
