Beautiful faery wildflower garden in a well-loved yard, tucked away behind an artist studio. You can sleep with the sounds of the ocean and wake up for an easy walk to the beach. Friendly and kind hosts. Can’t recommend more!

Nice location not far from the sea cliffs. Very quiet day and night. Good hosting. Everything is as advertised. So be ready for a portable toilet in the open. But no one can see you and you can just ask your fellow camper to turn around. Easy 30 minute walk-in along the coast into town, which has everything (a full general store and two places to eat.)

My roommate and I stopped by this lovely spot on our way up to Oregon and we are so happy we did. Judy and Dale were delightful hosts and the space was beautiful! Also really enjoyed going to the little town by the beach for some surprisingly great food. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a quaint and peaceful little space to camp out.

Judy and Dale have a sweet little garden setting tucked away behind a hedge for privacy. It is close to the ocean for a good walk or quick drive. I would recommend bringing your own tp as the cool, damp air makes for wet paper. It is stated that there will be an upgrade to the port-a-potty and shower situation, that would be an improvement. Otherwise it is a quiet spot away from the busy downtown area of Bolinas yet close enough for the beach and ocean feeling of the coast. Thank you J&D for sharing your land!!

The location was awesome! Judy and Dale were very kind. The spot was private and comfy for camping. The shower and toilet are rustic, so if you’re happy with a cold shower and small toilet, this is your spot!

What a special place. Dale was very welcoming and even shared some interesting geographical history about Bolinas. Dale was kind enough to lend us a lighter for our camping stove. Communication was clear and the directions were clear. Just a few blocks from the beach overlook. Highly recommend!

Finding the gate to enter was a bit challenging in this verdant landscape. Composting toilet required a small work around of adding water from a bottle nearby which was also the home of several banana slugs.
One walks thru a pretty open yard to a hidden side yard next to the toilet. We misunderstood and camped in open area which was great. I’m not sure we would have enjoyed the side yard as much.

Hosts were very welcoming. The area was cute and accessible. It would be nice if the bathroom setup was a bit more secluded, perhaps with a privacy cover. A little panel of roofing would be nice - we happened to be there during fog and rain, and using the toilet in the rain was an unforgettable experience.
Bolinas was a very lovely town, the host had lovely recommendations of places to stop by - namely the People’s Market.

Judy and Dale were such lovely people! Our garden camp site was perfect! They gave us an assortment of recommendations and some history of the area. It was very private, however we sincerely enjoyed our chats with Judy & Dale. This is a beautiful area and we are so thankful we were able to stay in this lovely space as we explored and discovered the treasures this place has to offer. Thank you both again.

Very easy laid back place to stay in Bolinas. The Hosts Judy and Dale are amazing. I wish we had more time to stay and hear stories. I’m sure they have many. Judy is an amazing and well accomplished painter as is Dale with music. If you like blackberries and you stay during the season you will be surrounded by them. I mean really surrounded. Such a charming place.

My friend and I loved staying at the Garden by the Sea hosted by Dale and Judy! The campsite was private and serene. The instructions were clear and well communicated. We enjoyed walking around Bolinas and going to see the sea and the lagoon which holds significance to the town. Dale was so welcoming and a great host. Perfect for campers who want a nature experience that is private, but still provides access to San Francisco and different wine tasting areas! It is a true garden immersive experience!

What a lush private corner of garden to camp in! Beauty abounds here, and the short walk down the road to the ocean bluff is lovely. I enjoyed meeting Dale and Judy and they were super friendly, and helpful! Thank you so much you two. I only wish I could have gotten to know you better.

Loved our stay here! The garden was full of flowers, and it was quiet and private. Dale met us at the gate to show us around. He was kind enough to lend us a couple of lanterns after I forgot to charge mine. The site is less than 10 minutes from the main trailhead to Alamere Falls -- you can sleep in and still beat the crowds. Would definitely return.

We loved tent camping on Judy and Dales land! We arrived a bit late on a foggy night and Dale kindly greeted us and showed us around. Nestled in the back garden, we felt comfy safe and at home amongst the plants. Thanks much J and D!

Very friendly hosts! We loved Bolinas, such a unique town! Plenty of hiking trails all around and beaches are beautiful. We liked the privacy of this site and the accommodations. Would recommend!

Great, simple and lovely spot. Judy and Dale are very welcoming and lovely to talk to.
I loved the calmness of the place and the short walking distances to the coast. Bolinas is such an interesting and peaceful place.
I travel without a car, so I had a pretty basic setup. Tent, matress, sleeping bag, little bit of camping supplies. The setup for that was ideal. Portapotti and non heated garden shower can be challenging in colder mornings/nights, but once the sun is up, everything turns to a beautiful retreat.

Private area to pitch a tent, and was sheltered from the wind. The porta potty is in “aire libre”. 30 minute beautiful walk to downtown. Saw Dale play a live concert, which was pretty sweet! Both Judy and Dale were super helpful and offered tons of suggestions. Can’t wait to visit again and take a surf lesson.
