Park your RV at our place on your travels, we are 5 min off the interstate! Dirt road is great for walking, some parts of the year people pass through for birding. Some people come to check out the area to potentially move to the area and some only come for the winters. We also have a short little nature trail that we made ourselves. We are 30 minutes south of Tucson, 25 minute drive away from Madera Canyon/Coronado National Forest for some great hiking and bird watching! No light pollution so you can see the stars good at night. Remember the term sky island. Here in southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico, mountains seemingly come out of nowhere to dominate an otherwise flat landscape. Discover the five distinct areas of this national forest, all of which have their own sky islands.
Start your wanderings at Sabino Canyon. Steep rock cliffs and unique desert vegetation follow Sabino Creek, which maintains water year-round. Keep a sharp eye out for desert wildlife adapted for high heat and low humidity. Gila monsters may sun themselves on rocks, while bobcats sip from the creek's water.
Discover Miller Peak, the highest peak in the Huachuca Mountains. Wilderness surrounding the area comprises vertical cliffs and deep canyons. The site is 40’ long. If your combination RV/ Tow Vehicle is longer than that then there is off street parking directly in front of the entry gate. This is a pull in or back in site only and not a pull through. ADA sidewalks outside.
Other things to note: This is a local residential neighborhood so no loud music or partying- quiet hours begin at 10p. Children must be supervised at all times. Dog owners must clean up after their pets. Animal companions can be unleashed if kept within your enclosed area. No barking dogs left unattended in the fenced area. There is cacti in the garden so it recommended to wear shoes when outside. No restrooms available. Near several grocery stores, bus routes routes, and laundry mat in less than 1 mile.

We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. Our Prickly Pear site has a pull through for campers and RVs. Our RV site has 30 amp electric and black water dump station.
All of our sites are fenced in, and have many, many cool amenities such as fire pits, sinks with fresh, pure water, table with 4 chairs, gas grills and lounge chairs/porch swing.
Our property in a 160-acre neighborhood surrounded by open desert state lands.
In our sustainable community/neighborhood are like minded, peaceful people who are as connected to and respectful of the land as we are.

What to expect:
We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote.
We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible.
We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time.
Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free.

The pad has a 30 amp/120 volt RV box and a 20 amp/120 volt GFCI receptacle. No converters are available at this time. No generator use allowed anytime. The space can accommodate the small Class A’s. The site is 40’ long. If your combination RV/ Tow Vehicle is longer than that then there is off street parking directly in front of the entry gate. This is a pull in or back in site only and not a pull through. ADA sidewalks outside.
Other things to note: This is a local residential neighborhood so no loud music or partying- quiet hours begin at 10p. Children must be supervised at all times. Dog owners must clean up after their pets. Animal companions can be unleashed if kept within your enclosed area. No barking dogs left unattended in the fenced area. There is cacti in the garden so it recommended to wear shoes when outside. No restrooms available. Near several grocery stores, bus routes routes, and laundry mat in less than 1 mile.

We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. What to expect:
We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote.
We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible.
We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time.
Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free.

Johnny’s land is a great place to post up when exploring Patagonia, the Arizona Trail, the Paton Center for Hummingbirds, or Nature Conservancy Preserve.
Decently private and quiet. The other campsite is not visible, but neighboring houses are. Expect the usual rural outdoor barking dogs, coyotes, and owls at night. The neighboring property also runs a heavy duty fan/exhaust occasionally. If a light sleeper, I’d recommend ear plugs or white noise machine to block out all the above. Your experience may vary!
Access to the Hipcamp requires driving past a few properties with aggressive no trespassing signs. Rest assured you’re going the right way on a shared road. The turn into the site is AFTER the house with the green gate — there are small hand written signs to point you in the right direction.

We stayed in the Magical Mushroom and it was absolutely perfect for a couple nights of camping under a roof. The blowup mattress was a lifesaver! It works perfectly for the Mushroom sight! Beautiful stargazing. Sunrises and sunsets are amazing! Ideal camp grounds with great, warm showers and shared bathroom sinks with running water. SUPER clean too! Nice and quiet. They also have a big fire pit, cornhole, and tetherball. They also put out great, fresh grapefruits one morning! Would recommend to anyone! What a beautiful place!

My dogs and I LOVED this spot!! It’s rare to find such a private oasis in such an urban area but that’s what this is. The elec hookup for my van was ideal as well as being able to top off my water tank—such a bonus! The table and chairs were so nice to get out of my vehicle and sit outside drinking coffee and oh my gosh the fire pit and firewood provided— I used it every night! I had room to do yoga outside without feeling watched like I do in campgrounds. It was one BLOCK away from the loop and since I was in Tucson to ride bikes w friends, that was so ideal. The hosts are the kindest nicest people. We will definitely be back!!! My dogs loved being able to roam in the completely fenced off yard. They rarely get to be that free. We slept well and really enjoyed our time here. Many thanks for creating such a magical and safe spot Sophia!!!

This campground is so delightful and exceptionally maintained. It has everything you need. Firewood for sale, fire pit with seating and table at each site, clean bathrooms, private hot shower, dish washing station, small charging station in the common area. Host met us as we arrived. Found this place on Hipcamp and thought it would be a nice break after 4 days of Dry camping for a chance to get a shower and maybe do some laundry. The sites are well spaced and surrounded by mature desert plants, which provide some shading and a little privacy. It’s a great location and very close to the National Park visitor center and local Desert botanical museum. I spent the next 3 nights at Camp Gilbert Ray in the park and if I would have known that Camp Saguaro was so nice I would’ve just booked all my time in the area there.

Secluded campsite with views of the sunrise and sunset, lots of space to wander. Quiet!
Debi took the time to show us how to get to the site and showed us the ropes. She even got her teenage son to bring us a big tub of firewood.
Deacon stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. Above and beyond hosts for the truly one of a kind private campsite.

We had the BEST time at Camp Saguaro! Such fun accommodations for the whole family. Super friendly camp hosts, beautiful property and a unique place to stay (magical mushroom!) We loved seeing the stars and hearing the coyotes sing while sitting around our campfire. If you’re traveling with kids definitely do the quest for the key - ours loved it.
