Blackberry Farm sits on the western side of Mount Tamalpais, tucked in the Gospel Flat area of Bolinas. The family farm and residence were established during the late 1970s on the site of the historic Peter’s Dairy Ranch. The original farmhouse dates back to the late 19th century and survived the great 1906 earthquake. Today, the 7-acre farm is being restored to sustainably support fruit orchards, cottage flower and kitchen gardens, honey bees, a boisterous flock of chickens, and naughty shetland sheep. Our self-serve farmstand attached to our barn has seasonal flowers, organic eggs, heirloom fruit, and local goods from the farm. Our property is the perfect rustic getaway for backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts. You’ll be surrounded by farm/ranch life: chickens clucking, roosters crowing, bees buzzing, and sheep bleating. We also have active nighttime wildlife: coyotes howling, raccoons foraging, owls hooting, etc. Bring earplugs if nature sounds are too much for you. We offer 4 walk-in tent sites that allow you to immerse yourself in nature. We welcome well-behaved pets ON LEASH that won’t harass the chickens, cats, sheep, other campers, or residents. Unruly pets and their campers will be asked to leave. No refund. Limit: 1 dog per site. Pitch your tent in a meadow shared by: Campsite 1 - left side of the meadow, closest to the common area and hot tub. Campsite 2 - middle of the meadow, closest to our fenced apiary and bee garden. Campsite 3 - right side of the meadow, near the orchard. (sites 1 and 3 are next to each other) Campsite 4 - front of the pasture, closest to the parking area (best for car/van campers wanting space to lounge near their parked vehicle.) Multiple sites may be booked for group camping. Sites 1 and 3 are next to each other under the Cypress Trees. Add site 2 if you would like the entire back half of the campground. Add site 4 if you'd like to have a maximum number of 16 total campers and 2 tents/per site. The common area has an outdoor shower, hot tub, covered bbq/cook area, tented (weather-protected) hangout space, and a place to stash your surfboard. The pizza oven is not available for campground use. Redwood Grove hangout areas have seating and tree swings. Please pack out your trash. We offer a recycling bin for glass bottles, cans, and clean paper. Parking is 100 yds or less from the campsites. We have a large wheelbarrow to help you cart your camping gear across the pasture to your campsite. No driving onto or parking in the meadow. Due to the narrow driveway and parking area (lack of turnaround), the site cannot accommodate RVs, trailers, or oversize vehicles beyond 16ft in length, 7ft in width, or 10 ft in height. 1 car per campsite, please. 15-minute walk to the beach and downtown.

My friend and I stayed here over the weekend and had an amazing stay. I didn’t have any cell reception (very welcome change), woke up to a beautiful cacophony of birdsong every morning, and enjoyed watching sheep and an alpaca graze in the adjacent fields. We stayed in site 3, which I enjoyed as it was tucked up against a row of trees with a pretty view of the mountains and sunrise. There was a farm stand at the home next door and my friend and I purchased fresh spinach and dates from, which blew away any farmers market product she and I have tried before. I’m almost reticent to rate this place because I want to keep it all special to myself! But I do hope you also can enjoy an amazing stay here yourself. Kitchen setup had good basics. Don’t forget trash bags and hand towels for yourself though!

We loved camping on Sirima and Walter's farm! Site #4 was private, near the chickens and parking area. The site was full, and we still felt like we had our own space. We really enjoyed the hot tub and watching the baby goats run around.

Beautiful place to camp and lots of sweet details throughout the stay. The art on the sheds is lovely, as are the views of the moon from the hot tub. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay!

Sirima and Walter were top notch hosts! I felt a kindred spirit with everyone I met on the farm. The setting is beautiful! Proximity to Bolinas (and Stinson Beach) are ideal. I was in a paddle boarder’s dream for three days! I chose to camp in inclement weather and their excellent covered dinning/cooking/bathroom amenities made it MUCH more comfortable even though I had waterproof equipment. Will be back with the wife ASAP.

We loved camping on a working farm. Sirima and Walter have created a wonderful place to be, with their sheep, chickens, bees and gardens and most of all their hospitality and gentle spirits. They shared their love of connecting with the land in a way that is fundamentally instinctive.

Tent camping at a farm has always been a wishful thinking kind of thing. I didn’t know it was possible to stay at a farm so this was such an exciting discovery. The farm is beautiful and has a magical charm about it from the spacious camping grounds, to the common area which had a good size kitchen, lounging space, dining space, showers, a hot tub, and bathrooms with plumbing. We made full use of the kitchen. They have pans, dishes and other useful items if you were unable to bring any or enough. The hot tub was the perfect temperature. Be prepared for a cold shower though or you can ask for help if someone is available. Greg was very helpful with adding propane that we wished we had asked sooner. It was a treat observing the chickens, wild bunnies and quail, sheep, alpaca, and hearing the cayotes, various birds and frogs at night. I love nature sounds so sleeping was not an issue. If nature sounds aren’t your thing, bring earplugs or headphones. We especially loved how we could purchase farm fresh eggs in their barn via Venmo. Delicious as we cooked them for breakfast twice in a row. The town of Bolinas captured our hearts. We will be back!

We were greeted immediately upon arrival and given a tour. The location of the farm feels truly magical, especially a walk down the driveway and lookout across the water towards the mountains. Our kids loved the sheep and chickens onsite. We enjoyed the hot tub but had some trouble keeping the shower warm.

Rustic Farm Shed - Quail

My wife and I stayed in the Quail Shed for a night and loved it! The bed was super comfy. It's basic (bed + desk) but was clean. There was no power, but we had lights and a lantern with us so it didn't matter. It was also located right next to the sheep field, so it was fun to watch them graze. The communal space had a hot tub, gas fire pit, bathrooms and shower, and an outdoor kitchen with enough to get by. Host greeted us, was super friendly, and gave us a quick tour. He even went and grabbed fresh farm eggs when we said we were interested in buying. Location was perfect - a quick 10 minute walk to Bolinas, so we went out for dinner before relaxing back on the farm for the night. We would totally come again and recommend. 5/5

Camping on the farm was great! We got to see and hear the farm animals, a wild deer, and so many birds in the early morning. Their tent sites are well spaced out giving you some space from other groups and their communal space is stocked with most camping necessities. Big plus to have running water, bathrooms, and showers!

Great tent camping on a beautiful property with lovely amenities. The outdoor bathhouse was great, lots of space to lounge/eat with the basics for cooking. The hot tub was nice and hot. We saw lots of wildlife (and heard some too, although with earplugs you'd be fine) and loved the quick walk into town! Great spot for dogs, as you can walk into town to run them on the beach, and the bar in town even allows dogs. Very fun spot!

Wonderful spot near great hiking and beaches. I stayed in one of the “sheds”, which was really like a cozy cabin. Bed was comfy, space was clean, and hosts were communicative. Highly recommend to others looking to stay in the area to give this place a visit

Blackberry Farm is beautiful! The outdoor kitchen and bathroom set-up is clean and easy to use. The communal dining area is very charming with its candle chandelier! We have camped here a few times now and absolutely love it.

Blackberry farm is the BEST. I’ve stayed here twice now and I will certainly return. It’s an incredible spot and the amenities are divine. Literally I feel i’m at the 4 seasons it is everything I could ever dream of. I’ve met awesome people both times i’ve been and been so comfortable. Kitchen is better stocked than any airbnb I’ve ever been to with awesome cast iron skillets, many tools, and plenty of kitchenware. Hot tub is epic and showers are hot and powerful. Aesthetic is unmatched. Just fabulous, so grateful for this place.

Terrible ending to our trip

Overall it was okay however, the site didn’t feel worth $80 for a tent site. The host wasn’t responsive to texts at all and lagged a response on hipcamp. Additionally, there was information regarding packing out trash but if you have a full kitchen area, and two actual restrooms, you should have something to dispose of wipes, tampons, etc. Other campers had left a bit of food in the sink I’m assuming because of this. To speak further on the restrooms, they were clogged when we arrived and didn’t receive a response from them when we reached out to fix it. There wasn’t even a plunger. There was no regulation on hot or cold water for the shower. Hot tub wasn’t ready apparently and smelled mildewy. As far as directions for arrival, it got us down the driveway but there wasn’t instruction on whether we could enter the wire fencing until we rode up on our bikes (in daylight) and saw numbered sites and a few tents in the back. I wouldn’t stay here again considering all of the above.

Blackberry farms was an incredible experience for a Point Reyes bday getaway. There was a hot tub, stove with propane, bathrooms, hot and cold water showers, and chicken, goats, and a llama to greet us in the morning! Walter was incredibly helpful on the phone when we were down a 2-person tent and also when we were trying to find some shorts we left at the campground. Definitely coming back here again, this place was absolutely magical!

Blackberry Farm is charming, close to town, and has plenty of extras that make staying there relaxing and interesting. The camp kitchen makes it so you don't even need to pack cooking gear-- just bring food! We loved the sheep, chickens, llama, and chatting with the other campers who were hanging out in the common area. The redwoods and meadow make it easy to chose sun or shade.
