My Fiance and I had a lovely time at one of Doreen’s forest camping spots. The spot was clean and pretty level- so nice for our small camping set up for two nights. Doreen provides some nice amenities such as: useful tables and chairs, some lovely hammocks, maintained pit toilet and she even hooked me up with electric for my kettle (fireban)! The spot is nicely located- proximity to the beach was such a treat. Trails lead you right there! 🌊 highly recommend Doreen’s sites for a relaxing retreat :)

We enjoyed staying at Doreen’s by the trees it was quiet and close to the beach. It was our first time with Hipcamp Doreen was very helpful. Her directions were perfect.

Great location, the views from salmon point are unreal. Bathroom was well kept with running water. When we arrived it was pretty clear there was not much room left for us, so we followed the check in instructions, tried to fit ourselves in & let the host know we had arrived via the app. An hour later she came out and said we couldn't park where we were and should have spoken to her prior to parking up (despite this not being part of the check in instructions), we immediately offered to move and she suggested we park parallel to the 'spot' she suggested which we weren't able to maneuver in our van due to soft sand. Parked up as best we could, assumed all was well as the host had watched us park and then disappeared, then an hour later received a message saying we hadn't parked as she'd requested and were now too close to the next lot of campers. We explained we weren't able to park the way she wanted us to but offered to move to the lower field which was empty. We never heard back from the host. It's clear to me that the property was overbooked (which she said herself when initially speaking to us) and that there was not enough room for all campers, because of this we weren't able to use the 'extras' like hammocks which were part of the reason we'd booked this property. I hate to leave a negative review but this interaction & stay has really left a bad taste in my mouth unfortunately!

Doreen’s field at Salmon Point is a wonderfully relaxing place! We loved listening to the song birds. We spent most of our time on the cobble beach enjoying the view, and even saw a pair of Orcas just off shore. Doreen was an excellent host and brought us warm muffins one morning.
We’ll definitely come back!

Doreen’s place is so peaceful. I watched deer in the field, bats at dusk and the most incredible star-filled sky. Was awesome to have power available on the last morning when my battery died making coffee! Thanks, Doreen!

Doreen and her family we're very friendly and inviting. They were happy to give recommendations of hikes or restaurants nearby. The site was on grass and with a little adjusting you could find a level spot. Doreen even brought over a piece of her homemade rhubarb pie. It was delicious. There are tables and chairs set out at each campsite. And there was a very clean outhouse with everything you would need in there. There is also a glamping tent on the property that is beautifully done if you get tired of your camping mate. Lol.

I went to Doreen’s property for a couple nights. I lost a very close friend the week prior and needed a healing trip. I spent one of the full days heading out to little HUSON caves and the rest of my time I walked the trail from her property to the beach. I swam in the ocean, and I watched the salmon jump… my dog was welcomed, and the other campers on the property were unbelievably kind and there was this understanding of mutual respect that was just beautiful. Doreen was a wonderful host and her property was an absolute sanctuary. I am very thankful to have the opportunity to camp here. I would recommend the serenity of it as well as just the energy that was there. It was such a good caring and respectful energy. I would highly recommend her property to anybody that’s looking for a place of peace and healing and a whole lot of enjoyment At your fingertips. Kindly, Trinity.

Doreen let us part right in the field and it was perfect. Lots of open space for our kids to run around and great open sky for solar. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Beautiful spot! We stayed one night in our tent. A couple of minutes walk to the beach along a nice trail. Doreen was helpful and friendly. I liked the choice of open field or treed camping spots. Treed spots have a hammock, table and chairs. Lovely character outhouse, clean, running water sink. The only negative was the loud vehicles coming and going into the night next door at the RV park.

Being close to the beach and the trail to Oyster Point was a highlight of my stay as I enjoyed my daily walk. I was the only camper for the weekend so I had the pick of spots. My only comment is the power is a bit far for an extension cord unless you are parked quite close to the outhouse. I would stay here again.

Doreen’s land was a lovely, quiet spot to camp. The facilities on offer where very nice and clean and we where only a short walk away from the beach. It was very clean and well looked after. I would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quite get away.

The location was great so close to the beach and there is a long hiking path along the beach which I enjoyed a lot. Tons of blackberries to feast on.
Doreen's land had several spots to chose from with a table and a variety of chairs, hammocks and one of the nicest outhouses. In comparison to the RV park opposite where they are packed together like sardines, this place felt luxuriously spacious. Also loved to be able to connect our camper van to power.
I definitely would come back to this place.

I camped in my car at Doreen’s spot, and found the spot peaceful and safe for a woman travelling on her own. There was an outhouse close by, with a shared electrical post and water. It is a very quick walk to salmon point beach which is an added bonus. Would definitely stay again!
