Colin receives a 10/10!! He provides everything needed for a night or several nights of camping. His place is very well organized, clean and QUIET! If you’re lucky, a banana slug will meet you at the out house in the morning! I highly recommend Colin’s sites. He is very kind, helpful and informative of the area!

4 nights at Poplar Grove Family Farm

Lisa was a great host! She provided everything needed. The spot was clean and had plenty of space for 2 of us and our pups. Her and her family members were very careful about driving slowly past us, knowing we had dogs off leash and always made sure to keep their gate closed. Having hookups for power and water were helpful and a treat for us. Our leveling blocks came in handy. There’s some background noise from the road and occasional goats/cows, which was entertaining to us. A lot of noise from small planes, maybe due to the holiday weekend. We would be happy to stay there again.

Paul’s place was well signed and right near to the water! We had our choice of sites after the first night there, we moved over to site 8 from site 6 because it got super windy and I was feeling cold. The outhouse was really well stocked and it was a pleasure to do your business in there! I am definitely returning to this site in the near future!

What a lovely spot. The directions here were spot on. It was quiet and comfortable. It was a short walk to the beach. I would stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Alpaca Haven

We would like to thank Roger for his hospitality. During our visit, we spent quite some time just relaxing on the campsite, which is very picturesque. We had a lot of fun feeding the goats and alpacas, and our 2-year-old enjoyed the yard so much that he didn't want to leave - many thanks to Roger and his family for sharing! Nearby are incredibly many beautiful places to visit, including scenic waterfalls and a beach with reasonably warm water. Roger was always very helpful. We hope to come back!

Paul and his wife were amazing hosts. They went above and beyond in every way and helped accommodate us really last minute. They had great tips on places to check out things to do for us and our kids. They had chickens and so we bought fresh eggs for our trip, which were amazing. I would highly recommend staying here. Super close walk to the beach with great views.

We are right in the middle of an extensive trail network perfect for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding. Both sites have plenty of space for RVs and trailers - we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. 30 amp Electrical and potable water hookups are available on both sites. WI-FI onsite as well. There is a flush toilet and sink available in our farm store that is available for guest use. No shower yet, but we are working on it! The property is private yet close to all amenities. Local favorite Rocking Horse Pub is a quick walk next door and a must-stop for dinner and drinks! Centrally located on Vancouver Island, it’s a perfect spot to set up the rig and day trip out to Rathtrevor, Little Qualicum, Parksville, Coombs, Port Alberni valley and Nanaimo, or go for an overnighter in Victoria, Tofino, Mount Washington and the Comox Valley. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban and we have dry firewood for sale onsite. If you would like firewood send us a message before you arrive. Pets are welcome, but please be responsible for them. There is a large open grass field for you to let them run and burn off that energy. A quiet and private forested area for RV camping. We are close to Miracle Beach, at the bottom of Mt. Washington and many of Comox Valley's beaches, hiking and biking trails. Our secluded and meditative forest glade has electricity and running non-potable hot and cold water. There is a small kitchenette, but you will need to be self-contained for water and bathroom. The lawn is perfect for little ones running around. We're working to improve things, but it's pretty basic at the moment! We have very close neighbours that can hear you even if you can't see them. Please be respectful of them and our community. Our neighbours own the trails near the Glade and they are not for public use. Quiet time starts at 9pm. Come and enjoy our peaceful home.
