Welcome to our half-acre homestead in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. We are conveniently located along the main highway, making our property a great basecamp for exploring everything the Comox Valley has to offer, including walking & hiking trails, beaches, rivers, lakes, mountain biking, and Mount Washington Alpine Resort, all within a short drive or bike ride. Many trails and outdoor areas are close by and easy to access from our property. We offer a simple RV parking spot in our driveway, with a view of the ocean, for fully self-contained RVs. Please note there is no sani-dump or bathroom, so your RV must be fully self-contained. This is a simple homestead RV stay rather than a full-service campground. Our property is a small working homestead with a large garden, chickens, rabbits in the back and a seasonal farm stand where we sell herbal teas, artisan jams and jellies, and farm-fresh goods grown and made right here on the property. Guests are welcome to walk through the front garden, shop at the farm stand & with the owner visit the chickens. . If you are looking for a convenient location to break up a long journey or while exploring the Comox Valley and enjoy a casual setting, this is a great spot to park and stay for a few nights. In addition to the RV stay, we also host Wild Edible Plant Walks, garden tours, and seasonal herbal workshops on the property and around the Comox Valley. These are separate bookable experiences that Hipcamp guests are welcome to join if dates align with their stay. Please inquire when booking if you are interested in adding a plant walk or workshop to your visit. The Comox Valley is made up of the City of Courtenay, the Town of Comox, the Village of Cumberland, and the surrounding communities of Royston, Union Bay, Fanny Bay, Black Creek, Merville, Denman Island, and Hornby Island. The Courtenay Riverway Heritage Walk is right across the road and runs along the ocean, through forested areas, around the Courtenay Airpark, and along the Courtenay River, connecting all the way to our downtown core. From our farm stand to Simms Park is just over a one-hour walk or about a 20-minute bike ride. We look forward to sharing our small homestead and the beautiful Comox Valley with you.We conveniently situated on The Old Island Highway 19a - perfect for anyone who wants to break up their travels or explore the Comox Valley. There is plenty of space in our long driveway for your RV or van on our half acre homestead. The space is gravel and grass combined, and is flat. You can take a stroll through our garden, where we grow edible and medicinal plants and flowers It is the home of Natural Garden Grows, a working Homestead where we operate a farm stand and hold workshops and Wild edible plant walks. Located in the beautiful Comox Valley, we are situated across from the ocean with a lovely view, with just a short, walking distance to beach access and trails that take you right through the entire town of Courtenay. The Comox Valley is surrounded by beautiful rivers, lakes, beaches and world renowned mountain biking, hiking and of course Mount Washington ski resort.
