This property was purchased nearly half a century ago. For the majority of this time the forest section you will be camping in was left undeveloped, apart from a few mountain bike trails. Recently, as a family, we have seen a large increase in the people traveling to the Sunshine Coast to escape the city limits. Unable to rock up to a campsite and pick our spot like we used to, it was easy to see a growing demand. We have taken everything we love about camping and done our best to give you a sense of what life on the Coast is really about.
Please note: By entering onto the property you release all liabilities towards us as hosts. You are choosing to camp in a forested area that contains many hazards as well as potential threats. These include but are not limited to; Wild life (bears, bob cats, cougars etc), Fire is a serious threat to this region during summer months strict no smoking policy is in effect. Care should be taken walking around uneven surfaces. All campers are required to stay within camp boundaries fail to follow these protocols will result in being asked to leave.

Our property is a nature oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Just 20 minutes north of Sechelt, we're close to beaches and lakes. Enjoy our recreation area with a large pond (much smaller in the summertime), our small playground for young kids, and our small orchard with several small ponds. Explore our walking trails, visit our chickens, or sit near our seasonal waterfall. There are many spots on the property to sit and chill. We've also been Airbnb hosts for over 13 years.
If you come during campfire season, please bring your firewood. You're also welcome to scavenge for dead dry wood on the property, but we no longer have firewood for purchase. Typically, gas stations and some grocery stores have some for sale.

The bus has a gas stovetop/oven, bar fridge and sink with grey water system. Equipped kitchen and sofa area to hang out.
The standard queen bed is great for sleeping in and relaxing with that second cup of coffee.
Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and whale watching are just steps away.
There is beach access across the street through a private park with picnic tables, a very old eagles nest and a private access to a rocky beach perfect for sunsets.

Outside the bus is are lush veggie gardens, fruit trees and a nice private outdoor dining area. A BBQ and solar lights also help with evening hangouts.
Family friendly! Also we love animals but we ask that you clean up after your pet and keep any animals that aren’t so great with kids and other animals on leash. We have a dachshund on the property that is friendly and old ( barks at strangers but is all bark I assure you, he just wants to be friends)

We have one private site available for tent and RV/trailer campers. The site is level and grassy and it can accommodate vehicles up to 30ft in length.

The Portal is 18 feet long and 8 feet wide and is your very own private space. Featuring a beautiful deck for relaxation, reading, star gazing, yoga, or alfresco dining, with the interior offering a queen bed, sofa, and artisanal water - Oh so cozy and romantic. There is a fancy new outhouse that flushes water and is equipped with a sink. This space is best suited for a single, a couple, and possibly a fur baby and/or little one.
We are located on a quiet residential street 20 minutes from Port Alberni and en route to Tofino or Ucluelet. We have walking and mountain biking trails minutes from the house.
If you are bringing a fur baby, please let us know. It must be on a leash at all times. Please bring your fur baby's favorite blanket or bed to sleep on. We can also provide a comfy hound bed in the room at your request. We kindly ask that you keep your fur baby off the furniture and bed, and that you please not leave your pet unattended.
The Portal has no internet and reception is spotty. There is one outlet for charging, etc. Parking is on-site. Local food options include the "The Fish & Duck Pub" which is just a short walk away. Call Doordash to deliver a meal from one of our local restaurants, such as Sproat Lake Landing, or bring a picnic to enjoy.

We are located on a beautiful forested acreage! Our property is in the heart of Black Creek, BC.
We have two RVs turned into an enclosed space available for campers. Either those who are passing by or would love to explore our little community.
We are a small walk away to Saratoga Speedway and the mini gulf course. We are a short distance away from two amazing beaches; one is pristine sandy beach and the other is Miracle Beach Provincial Campground. At low tide it is the perfect place to explore. When your done from your days journey, you can walk our beautiful farm trails.
Our community and property is perfect for children to explore. On our property we even have a small playground and a pond to explore. Don’t forget to feed the chickens your leftovers :)
Our home away from home offers every you need. Just bring you, family or friends. We have bedding, towels, shampoo, conditioner and more!

We loved it. The forest was peaceful and beautiful. Our kids just run everywhere and thay had so mach fun. The land was welk maintenant and very relaxing. Kitchen has all you need. We stay at bell tent it very spacious. It was cold night. Christian gave us solution for that. He is amazing guy. Very kind and warm welcome.

Weekend Trip to Shirewoods Farm
Bernadette is an absolute amazing host! She responds fast, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The absolute highlight was sleeping in the unique wagon—it added so much charm and comfort to our stay! We also loved the fun farm animal tour. If you want a magical getaway with a host who truly cares, book this spot immediately!

Loved staying in Paige's Tiny Homes! We were there with our two kids and fit quite comfortably. The kitchen has just enough of what's needed and the patio with hammock and propane fire pit was lovely. Super gracious host and Gabriola is the best. Only piece of advice is that if you're sleeping in both tiny homes, only the bigger one has heat, so bundle up. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning!!

Weekend Trip to theDoighouse Earthship
Our stay in the Maple Cabin was very comfortable. A nice double bed with cotton sheets and a down duvet kept us perfectly warm and cozy. Susan was very kind and communicated well. She greeted us and showed us around the gardens and facilities when we arrived. It was the perfect jumping off point for our day trip to Qualicum Beach, Cathedral Grove, Tofino and Uclulet!

Weekend Trip to Forest Sanctuary Cabin
We had a wonderful stay at Christian's cabin. It was the first weekend of April, and were treated to having the land to ourselves. With it being this early in the year, the cooking/lounging area and outdoors showers were not yet up. I took advantage of the Gibsons community centre showers ($3), as per Christian's suggestion.
Christian is a thoughtful host, providing a tour of the area, lesson on using the woodstove, checking in occasionally, and providing equipment to meet all our needs. Between having no electricity (only solar powered lights), wifi, or plumbing; and access to a clean open air outhouse, water for drinking, hand and dish washing, a wood stove for heat, toasty warm bed, and the sounds of nature, we felt it was the perfect balance between rustic and comfort -- perfect environment to reconnect with nature and ourselves. We loved cooking food on the campfire, watching the stars come out, doing cold dips in the shallow pond, and listening to the distant chorus of frogs. We would recommend bringing indoor slippers for the cabin, tealight candles, flashlights, and cooking oil.
We look forward to coming again and seeing the result of new developments Christian is working on!

Great spot! Easy to find. Susan and Tony were so welcoming. A brief check in to ensure we have everything we need. The wood stove was such a treat and really made it cozy. Beautiful trails nearby and the beach is so close.

3 nights at Magical Dome
We loved the space and the setting. Though the Dome is set among the trees, it has plenty of light. We made good use of the sauna and fire pit! The Done was well equipped and comfy—perfect space for the two of us. The additional beds would work well if traveling with teens.

Christian has a lovely piece of land with a fresh running stream and forest as well as open areas. We enjoyed our stay in his little luxury off grid cabin. We had all the amenities we needed for heat, sleeping and dishes for cooking etc and as its early springtime we had a lot of privacy.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. At night Christian provided us with lots of candles which were gorgeous. Also there was a beautiful stream on the property as well and everything was super refreshing.

A lovely place to stay, would definetly come again! Carson and Joanne were such kind and welcoming hosts. We got to feed the chickens and learn more about their property and the bunkhouse. Well supplied kitchen and a cozy living space with a bunch of games (with Catan!) Can't wait to be back!

The Doighouse is a beautiful site nestled in the trees. Listening to the rain on the cabins metal roof was heavenly. The hosts are incredibly considerate, welcoming and warm. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a nice spot to just get away from life for a few days!
