We have one private site available for tent and RV/trailer campers. The site is level and grassy and it can accommodate vehicles up to 30ft in length.

This property was purchased nearly half a century ago. For the majority of this time the forest section you will be camping in was left undeveloped, apart from a few mountain bike trails. Recently, as a family, we have seen a large increase in the people traveling to the Sunshine Coast to escape the city limits. Unable to rock up to a campsite and pick our spot like we used to, it was easy to see a growing demand. We have taken everything we love about camping and done our best to give you a sense of what life on the Coast is really about. Gibsons -Sunshine Coast is a 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver BC
Please note: By entering onto the property you release all liabilities towards us as hosts. You are choosing to camp in a forested area that contains many hazards as well as potential threats. These include but are not limited to; Wild life (bears, bob cats, cougars etc), Fire is a serious threat to this region during summer months strict no smoking policy is in effect. Care should be taken walking around uneven surfaces. All campers are required to stay within camp boundaries fail to follow these protocols will result in being asked to leave.

The standard queen bed is great for sleeping in and relaxing with that second cup of coffee.
Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and whale watching are just steps away.
There is beach access across the street through a private park with picnic tables, a very old eagles nest and a private access to a rocky beach perfect for sunsets.

Outside the bus is are lush veggie gardens, fruit trees and a nice private outdoor dining area. A BBQ and solar lights also help with evening hangouts.
Family friendly! Also we love animals but we ask that you clean up after your pet and keep any animals that aren’t so great with kids and other animals on leash. We have a dachshund on the property that is friendly and old ( barks at strangers but is all bark I assure you, he just wants to be friends)

The Portal is 18 feet long and 8 feet wide and is your very own private space. There is a fancy outhouse that flushes water and is equipped with a sink. This space is best suited for a single, a couple, and possibly a fur baby and/or little one.
We are located on a quiet residential street 20 minutes from Port Alberni and en route to Tofino or Ucluelet. We have walking and mountain biking trails minutes from the house.
If you are bringing a fur baby, please let us know. It must be on a leash at all times. Please bring your fur baby's favourite blanket or bed to sleep on. We kindly ask that you keep your fur baby off the furniture and bed, and that you please not leave your pet unattended.
The Portal has internet and spotty cell service. There is an outlet for charging, etc. Parking is on-site. Local food options include the "The Fish & Duck Pub" which is just a short walk away. Call Doordash to deliver a meal from one of our local restaurants, such as Sproat Lake Landing, or bring a picnic to enjoy.

Everyone has easy access to the spa-like washrooms with coin-operated hot showers and flush toilets. Children 8 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult in the Wash house. There’s a dish washing station in the center of the Wash House where you can refill your water jugs and bottles or wash dishes. Please do not use for washing hair or laundry or tooth brushing. We ask that you conserve water and keep the Wash House clean.

All guests are welcome to use the common kitchen, located at the top of the property.
Guests are also welcome to use the two kayaks and two paddleboards provided by the owners.
There are plenty of scenic trails, hidden bays, and beautiful viewpoints to explore nearby, as well as throughout the Sunshine Coast. Madeira Park and Pender Harbour are both only about 20 minutes away by car.

We have two RVs turned into an enclosed space available for campers. Either those who are passing by or would love to explore our little community.
We are a small walk away to Saratoga Speedway and the mini gulf course. We are a short distance away from two amazing beaches; one is pristine sandy beach and the other is Miracle Beach Provincial Campground. At low tide it is the perfect place to explore. When your done from your days journey, you can walk our beautiful farm trails.
Our community and property is perfect for children to explore. On our property we even have a small playground and a pond to explore. Don’t forget to feed the chickens your leftovers :)
Our home away from home offers every you need. Just bring you, family or friends. We have bedding, towels, shampoo, conditioner and more!

Weekend Trip to Forest Sanctuary Cabin
We had the most magical weekend at the Forest Sanctuary cabin. The property is stunning and you can tell how much love, care and thought has gone into setting up and maintaining this site. Christian was very welcoming and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We’ll definitely be back very soon!

We absolutely loved our stay at the lovely little cabin – it was all super comfy, and exactly what we needed. It was great to have the picnic table outside. We set up our propane stove and cooked ourselves some yummy dinner and breakfast. The raspberries were ripe in the garden and super tasty! Absolutely loved the earthship tour – thank you so much Susan and Tony for a wonderful stay and for sharing your home and your passion!

Camping here was such a joyful and relaxing experience! The hosts are so welcoming, caring and most helpful. We loved the location in the woods, close to beautiful trails and a quiet beach. Taking a tour of their place added inspiration and a new perspective. As an unexpected but meaningful bonus, I enjoyed an evening full of music, strumming along with friendly and talented people. Thank you Susan and Tony! I hope we will meet again next year.

Weekend Trip to Peacock Camping (Vancouver Island)
The tiny house was lovely and had everything we needed for comfort and cooking. There was a deck and dedicated large side yard that we loved having our coffee on. The menagerie of animals are a delight and the hosts were welcoming and friendly. As a host of an air bnb myself, I highly recommend this place and loved all the details and touches they’ve put into the tiny home. FYI the bed is a pull out couch bed.

4 nights at Shirewoods Farm
We loved staying at the wagon. It was cozy and comfortable for 2. The additional outdoor covered picnic area had utensils and propane stove. The area is close to general store, cafe, ferry terminal etc while also offering a peaceful, relaxed environment in the woods. The common area had family friendly outdoor games. The host is very friendly, and the farm animals are so adorable!

This was exactly what we wanted and more! Andrew was a lovely host with an exceptional space. The deck was dreamy to read in and being inside looking out with all the windows was mesmerizing. Then walking to the lake was an absolute treat! We also had our two pups.

We had soo much fun staying in the tiny home! It was modern yet still rustic with the wood burning stove. Everything you could need to make meals. Places to sit and relax and look at the animals. Would absolutely come back :)

The Maple Cabin is such a sweet spot, nestled on Susan and Tony’s land with a lovely view of the trees and the sounds of songbirds. The bed was comfy and the space warm and inviting.
Just a note, If you want more than a shared pit toilet, consider booking the other cabin with a bathroom.

1 night at Portal Retreat
I loved my stay at the portal! So close to the lake, perfect for a morning swim - close to town to get groceries/food, on a very quiet road (probably one of the best sleeps I’ve had in a long time). Host was kind and helpful! Would recommend for a couple or a solitary stay (would be a great place to use as a writing retreat, I will have to book again!)

Such an awesome place. The hand-built cabin is beautiful, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was the perfect quiet home base for exploring the area, and we loved being surrounded by nature. The horses next door were a bonus—especially for our dog!
Rose and Greg were incredibly kind, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. You can tell they genuinely care about creating a great experience for their guests. We’d happily stay here again.

Received a warm welcome from the hosts after a long ride from Gibsons to Earls Cove, and they let me me in well before check-in time. Cabin is clean and and well designed with everything I needed after a day in the saddle. Steps from the ferry and a restaurant.

The camper was a very nice quiet relaxing place. The lake was just across the street and I enjoyed sitting on the dock, using their paddle board and taking in Sproat Lake.

Weekend Trip to Tiny Secrets Farm & Retreat
I had a great time at Kito and Fiona’s. The bus was cozy and cute and the rest of the campsite was lovely to walk around. I spent most of my time in town and exploring the area but it was a great place to get cozy at the end of the day. The bed was also very comfortable.
