Wake up surrounded by the stunning sights and sounds of nature. It's your panoramic view! Just 300 meters from the Salish Sea, nestled on an acreage of family property is The Glamping Beachcomber. This rustic and glamping oasis consists of a spacious canvas tent on a 900 sq’ fenced deck. Queen bed & furnishings are inside and 2 cots and mattresses set up out under the 10x10’ canopy. Tent is well-furnished inside and out with an outdoor covered, supplied kitchen. Step off the deck and choose your path! If Oyster River is your destination, the nature trail will take you there. Stop along the way for a swim, picnic, paddle, driftwood fort building, and maybe try your campfire building skills! Or meander above the shoreline along the driftwood covered shore. Where the river meets the sea, you're likely to find seals bobbing, herons and eagles on the shoreline waiting for their next seafood meal. You'll be passing fields of distillery farmland and an estuary, To smell the forest, sea, and freshness of a flowing river all in one breath doesn’t happen many places, but it’s here every day. Deer, rabbits, herons and eagles are a near certainty right on our property in your private little field. Great Horned Owl hooting is also common. JUST BEYOND OUR PROPERTY… Shelter Point Distillery tastings and tours. Oyster River plaza (Grocery store, liquor store, pizza and coffee, and a medical clinic/pharmacy). Sandy Saratoga beach (water sport rentals) across the Oyster River. Miracle Beach Provincial Park. Saratoga Speedway on Saturday nights. Golf and mini golf (exceptional courses further into town). And we're 15 min drive to the bottom of Mt Washington, popular for hiking, ziplining, mountain biking and competition. Or just pocket your keys all together and stay put! Off leash, on leash. Dogs with good re-call only. Your 900sq' fenced deck and the beach are off-leash :) Our field is for playing fetch. Not for dogs to roam at all. Thanks.

Spigot, tap, hose. fill jug for fresh water at the spigot 200' away from tent

Showers available

Hot water . Tankless hot water heater (propane) offers a hot water shower. There’s also the beach!

Bins available

Recycling bin, trash bin. All must go to the locked bin each evening. We're in nature!

Bbq, private, stovetop or hot plate, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. COFFEE included. COOLER on deck. Ice available at the grocery store down the road

Perfect Glamping Setup

The Glamping Beachcomber near beach

The platform tent was wonderful. Everything was thought of, bedding and furniture, cooking setup, bathroom and heated shower. We sat on the deck with the gas fire pit watching bunnies run around the field at night. The bed was comfortable. Made steaks on the bbq. There’s a grocery store 5 min drive away. It was the end of a week long camping trip and a great way to relax.

The Glamping Beachcomber near beach

We loved the open-air experience of our glamping tent, located near a beautiful stretch of beach near Oyster River. We walked our dog along the community trail every morning, and we spent many evenings on the beach. The tent ambiance is cozy, with a cushy bed, armchairs, and even braided rugs on the floor. The "kitchen" is very basic but supplied all we needed.

We had a wonderful time. It was very relaxing. The property provides great access to the beach and lots of trails to hike. Even our dogs had a wonderful experience. The hot shower was nice. And the bed was super comfy! Thank you Mishel for a wonderful weekend.

The Glamping Beachcomber near beach

This is the quintessential glamping experience! Mishel is responsive and a joy! She has provided every delightful provision one could want for a vacation. The ample space and proximity to the beach made this a perfect stop on our multi-day adventure. I enjoyed having the option of a hot shower after swimming in a nearby lake. The beach, unfortunately, was a bit windy for our taste. But there is plenty to explore nearby. Everything at this site is well-laid out. Site is equipped for 4 people including bedding. Could not have asked for a more peaceful place to call home for a few days!
