Please join us at the land of Bohamia for glamping with luxury beds and private decks, primitive camping in picturesque sites, and RV spots with power and water. Bohamia has an upscale bathhouse with private, hot showers and individual toilet rooms with floor-to-ceiling doors. The bathhouse is within 100 yards of all glamps and RV sites. We also have portalets stationed in the RV/Safari Tent area, at The Barn, and at the pond (0.4 miles from welcome center.) Premium RV spots now available with 30 or 50 amp hookups and water. We do not have sewer hookups or a waste station. Glamp, RV or camp amidst the natural beauty of our 268 acre property; we have open fields, shady spots beneath the hardwoods and pines, and even a five acre pond with plenty of fish if you’d prefer to wake up to a water view or take a morning swim. With miles of trails on our property, easy access to the 392,000 acre Talladega National Forest, and less than ten miles from the Pinhoti trail, you’ll never run out of beautiful places to explore. Be sure to save some time to enjoy the boulder strewn creek just a short walk from our welcome center - it’s a must see! Other local attractions are also within reach with the Top Trails ATV park and the Talladega Marksmanship Park only seven miles away.

This was my second time at Bohemia. First, was for Birmingham’s first music and arts festival called Awakenus. And I couldn’t wait to return. This place is simply magical. We hiked to the waterfall, took a long swim in the refreshing water, swam in the spring fed lake, kayaked, fished, and stargazed in the two nights we stayed. Leigh was awesome! She greeted us at check-in and was delightful to talk to. I highly recommend planning a trip here. The campsites are spacious and each has a picnic table, fire pit and plenty of space between them. A friendly reminder to leave no trace :)

Bohemia was a great place to stop for a couple of days on my way through Alabama. It is clean and well organized, a lot of well thought out details that set it apart from other campgrounds, you can tell it is all very well managed. It was nice to have trails close by. We’ll definitely go again, hope to stay longer next time!

Site RV 1 was great. Heard the cascade in the gorge from our camp. Hiking was great along with fishing with worms on 1/4 and 1/5. RV Sites are well graded with new utilities. Great bathhouse if needed. Office is close with supplies is needed.

This property is spectacular…a true Hipcamp gem! Amazing nature and very well appointed from the pristine bathhouse to the hiking paths throughout the 260+ acre property. I had a van and stayed in RV spot 5 which is nicely tucked away on top of a hill. I took a peek into the glamping tents and they are done very well and I noted the heat and AC for seasonal comfort. Leigh greeted me upon arrival and gave me the lay of the land and graciously showed me around. I love that you can order a few things like firewood via QR code and it delivers right to your spot. The pups and I took the hike to the creek and waterfall along the nicely cared for trail and the winter weather was just right. Bohamia is an amazing place and I can’t wait to return for a longer stay😍

This is a beautiful piece of property! Bathhouse and porta potties were spotless. There are great trails to explore around the property. The owners/hosts communicated well before we arrived and were super friendly. We stayed at RV-5 and the electric and water hookups worked flawlessly. Overall, a great place to stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

We love camping at Bohamia! This was our second time and it did not disappoint. The surroundings are beautiful and the trails offer some great views of the creek/waterfall/lake! Everything about this property is absolutely perfect!! The host was amazing and the property very well maintained., never thought a bathhouse could be so amazing! Lots to do just on the property itself, from trail hiking, boulder walking down at the river, to paddle boating/ canoeing the good size pond, fishing, swimming and just relaxing., you’ll have plenty to do. This place has it all! Great location to other parks and the Majestic Caverns but you really will just not want to leave this property!!! Absolutely my top place to stay again and again!!

We loved the glamping tent at Bohamia. It was cozy and private. It brought the comforts of home while keeping us in the woods. It has heat and air, lights and electricity. We had a great time. The staff were also very helpful, super accessible, polite, kind and accommodating. The grounds has lots of fund hiking trails and the bathhouse is modern and kept very clean. We highly recommend!

Fantastic stay for our overnight. I wish we could have stayed longer but the glamp site was exactly as advertised. Just the necessities for a beautiful evening in the woods. And the hiking on the property is also beautiful. Highly recommend if you enjoy a little rustic without having to pack your own tent. Our host was also fabulously helpful and kind!

if you asked me to describe Bohamia in one word, it would be: “wow” we arrived to the welcome center and was immediately greeted and made to feel so welcome. our host led us to our site personally, and we had a great little chat before the wife and i got set up. we were on the pond sites, right next to the water. the campsite was clean, completely ready for us, and we weren’t too close to any other site at all, it is perfectly roomy between sites. not only is there a porta potty a short walk away, but actual restrooms and hot showers a little farther out. it feels like upgraded primitive camping, in the best way. we slept to the sounds of the trees rustling and crickets chirping, and woke up to the most gorgeous and breathtaking sunrise, watching the mist over the water. we spent our morning cooking over our fire (there is an already included grill attachment in the fire ring!) and then fishing and canoeing (they provide a canoe, paddleboat, and oars/safety gear. we didn’t get to hike sadly, but the trails seem plentiful. while we brought everything we needed in, there was a qr code on our picnic table that let us order things from the shop, like ice or firewood. i think that is fantastic, and great for first time camping emergencies, super cool idea. i would happily give this amazing spot a 10/10, 5 stars, two thumbs up. i would gladly rate this in a “spots you must camp at before you die” list for AL. thank you for a fantastic and refreshing trip, Bohamia!!

We enjoyed our weekend at Bohamia. Beautiful scenery, clean facilities, nice campsite and great staff. Would recommend this place.

The pond campsites are so relaxing and scenic. It's great for a little get away from the city. Great host. Super Clean and well maintained bathhouse. And the cleanest "in use" porta-john my girlfriend has every seen. Don't forget to turn off the campsite lights and check out the stars.

Exceeded my expectations with how clean and well maintained everything was as well as how beautiful the land is. The trails were well marked and plenty long for a decent hike and the river was way more impressive than I thought it would be! Everyone was super helpful and I did end up needing the store they provide which was priced reasonably and had anything you might forget in stock. Will definitely be going back!
