Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at the website TVA.gov. The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily. This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more! We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads. We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park). We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! I loved these trailers! We stayed for 3 nights/4 days. The campsite was super clean & cozy. It almost felt like camping in the 60's. The hot outdoor shower was a life saver in the cold weekend! There are trails to walk, horses to see, and a lot of peace & quite. I highly reccomend this place and will definitely be coming here again.

We brought our own firewood but you’ll find enough logs in the wood crib to do about two fires, plus the giant stumps that are great to prolong the fire if you can get one going. George also has a bale of pine straw in there which is super helpful to get a fire started. My whole review is about fires, can you tell it was cold while we were there haha! Saw several deer and hawks. Lots of stars and quiet.

The yurt had a small blow up mattress, which was a plus because it wasn’t listed in the description (at least to my memory). The land was absolutely beautiful, and he took the time to make sure we got to our yurt safely. Made my friend and I feel incredibly safe as two young women traveling alone together. We would definitely stay here again.

The firewood that was available made my stay, thank you Chad. Cut it SHORTER than diameter of fire rings please. It was so much better than hotel/motel. Coffee was excellent. Outdoor shower was great! hard to figure out how to operate, instructions would have helped.

4 nights at Creekside Cabin at Lake Hartwell

I have to say, this was hands-down the best organized, cleanest, easiest, most amenity-laden cabin I’ve ever rented. So many details, from the embroidered robes to the bound book of instructions and recommendations. From the kitchen appointments to the coffee. There are really too many amazing little things to list here, but you could really tell the owners absolutely care about the experience their property provides. And we went panning for gold in the creek below the back deck and even found a little! It was incredibly comfortable and lots of fun. Just make sure you’re ok with stairs and aren’t too large to fit the spiral to the loft. I honestly cannot think of a single improvement to make. Didn’t even matter that it rained so much, because there was plenty left to do inside.

2 nights at Rolling Ridge Stays

Perfect for rugged camping but with shelter & a shower! Feels secluded, but you still have cell service & civilization nearby in case you need anything. Also lots of historical sites nearby. Caught a few fish in the pond & enjoyed cooking over the fire. Cabin & bathroom were clean and owners were extremely nice! Would love to come back in summer so I can enjoy the flowers!
