We are trying to figure out if a family can use their own hands and some grit to handcraft a life that you don't need a vacation from. Or better yet, that you would vacation to. Have we done that? Years ago we left our Miami handcrafted furniture business to pursue this new goal. We set out to build an inspiring experience in simple, eco-friendly living that would find a harmony between the helpful aspects of the modern world and the good parts of the old, that maybe society should have held tight to. We wanted to play with this idea...while keeping it classy ;-)
At Heirloom Hamlet, you will see us designing unique, functional cottages, using solar energy, composting organics, sewing and reaping, in a way that is fair to our environment. We're bread baking, pasta making, timber milling, woodworking, clay-forming and metal pounding. The goal is to evolve into a small world of self-reliance and harmony with nature.
Through good design, our goal is to show just how "normal" slow, simple living can feel. We all have personal priorities, and those will vary greatly. But within that, we can all include ways of being respectfully mindful to the earth and to our neighbors.
Visiting with us, we sure hope our guests don't expect to find a corporate approach to life here, that they can appreciate our perspectives and some of our old-fashioned ways. Our presentation at Heirloom Hamlet has been purposefully designed to be a refreshing hideaway from the norm. You can imagine, it has been a ton of work, sacrifice and expense to create a very special camp atmosphere. Any donation to show appreciation for its use, if even for a single night, is a valuable support to our efforts.
*** Special Note: Heirloom has one full-hookup site for medium sized setups, that we use for long term month-to-month stays. Heirloom is our home, so we are judicious in determining that the guests that stay there are a good match for us and them.

A tropical adventure awaits in this unique themed experience—why stay somewhere boring? Our renovated 1960s-era travel trailers are fully furnished, making them an excellent retreat for a single traveler or a couple. Our newly constructed full restroom is now complete and ready for use.
Utilities and a weekly cleaning fee are included in the price.
The location is within a 2 to 3-minute walk of several restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. These include Aldi (2 min), Whole Foods (3 min), IHOP (2 min), Dave’s Hot Chicken (2 min), Target (5 min), Cava (3 min), Chase Bank (2 min), and Bank of America (6 min). Daffin Park, home of the popular Savannah Bananas baseball team, and other attractions are within a 4-minute walk.
We are also located near the seaside, only a 12-minute drive to Tybee Island, our local beach, and an 8-minute drive (or 12-minute bike ride) to the heart of Savannah's Historic District. The area is very bike-friendly. Thunderbolt, Georgia—Savannah's shrimp boat haven—is just a short hop away, including the Intracoastal Waterway, which is approximately 13 minutes via bicycle.
Amenities include a microwave, small refrigerator, external full toilet, interior standard toilet, coffee maker, hot shower, WiFi, and AC. The external toilet and shower rooms are heated during colder days. Two bicycles are also available for rental on-site.
Our space is designed for solo travelers and to accommodate those who may have allergies; therefore, we do not allow pets. It is very comfortable for singles and couples, but please note there is not enough space to accommodate families.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the flaming flamingo. We were able to walk all the trails on the property and see the amazing horses. We did try to see the sunrise, but it was too cloudy but will definitely be back in the future to explore more! Everyone we met was extremely friendly, and Angi and Chad were great host! One thing I loved about the Glam Camp was the art everywhere. And the outdoor shower was fabulous and the bed was comfy! The little things such as the citronella candle, the bug spray, and even the pop tarts were extra special touches that made our stay even more special. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your little piece of paradise. We will definitely be back in the future.

Weekend Trip to Glam Camp At The Old Dairy
I surprised my husband with a quick kid-free getaway for his birthday. We stayed in the Orient Express Airstream and had a fun time. We grabbed food before arriving and spent most of the evening watching tv and playing card games. The bed was nice and comfy, and the air was nice and cool. We didn’t sit outside, but the area to do so was very spacious and included candles and spray to keep the bugs away. The shared bathrooms and shower were a few steps away from the camper and were super clean. We had neighbors in both of the other campers also. They were friendly and respectful of the quiet atmosphere. The hosts were extremely responsive when I had questions, getting back to me super quickly. I’d definitely recommend the Glam Camp and plan to return soon.

This was cozy, stylish, with plenty of storage and a lovely experience all around! The grounds are amazing to walk around and its nice and quiet at night. The best part of all is that this property sits in an artists enclave in Avondale so I was able to experience the Avondale Gallery Crawl and explore the incredible artists in the area.

I loved these trailers! We stayed for 3 nights/4 days. The campsite was super clean & cozy. It almost felt like camping in the 60's. The hot outdoor shower was a life saver in the cold weekend! There are trails to walk, horses to see, and a lot of peace & quite. I highly reccomend this place and will definitely be coming here again.

The firewood that was available made my stay, thank you Chad. Cut it SHORTER than diameter of fire rings please. It was so much better than hotel/motel. Coffee was excellent. Outdoor shower was great! hard to figure out how to operate, instructions would have helped.
