Great Stay!
Beautiful spot on the water. Great shelter with electricity available. Wonderful and clean bathrooms with showers. Host was incredibly responsive and helpful.

Quiet little area. Cabin was well maintained and had just about everything you needed. Great spot to fish with kids. We loved it and would definitely recommend.

Beautiful waterfront camping spot
We had a wonderful stay with Dana and Cbo! The land is beautiful and they are very hospitable and kind. My teenagers had a blast kayaking while my dog and I relaxed by the fire pit. We will be back, for sure!

Great experience
We had a lovely visit in the rustic but comfortable (air conditioned!!) cabin on the lake! We even extended our stay by a day. We enjoyed the sunrises and the bright starry night sky.

So peaceful! We love the sounds of the outdoors at night. The sunrises over the lake are a great way to wake up with a cup of hot coffee! Our favorite part is the stargazing on a clear night...just WOW!! It feels like your personal planetarium! This was our 3rd time here but definitely won't be our last!

Dana is a true host and accommodated our extremely late reservation and arrival graciously. The property is gorgeous, calming, and private. You can see lots of stars at night. The bathhouse is probably the most well appointed of any camping trip I've ever been on. We'd love to stay again and arrive earlier next time we're in the area.

Camping with kids
Dana was great to communicate with--left the lights on for us even though we came in late. The cabin was clean and comfortable, the bathhouse is adorable! The yard was well kept and the lake looks beautiful in the morning. We didn't stay long but I'm sure if you love to fish or just go for long walks, this would be a great place. Felt very safe. Definitely has good energy. :)

A cozy quaint cabin!
Dana and Dbo's cabin was a great rustic and comfortable stay. Interior was well furnished, with lots of hangout space and an excellent outhouse a short walk away. Pond and dock are picturesque, well made for a relaxing weekend trip. Property is also and easy hour drive to Savannah. Even though we got in at 10pm, and had to leave early the next morning, Dana and Dbo were very accommodating and willing to help with anything needed.
Something that took us by surprise, the hosts have two very friendly dogs and a curious, friendly cat. We weren't expecting them running down the drive in the dark, but everything was good after we got a chance to meet them. Good to know if you have a dog too, but shouldn't be any sort of issue if you arrive in the daytime.

PEACEFUL
beautiful relaxing place! ac in cabin was cold. beds comfy. everything was perfect to relax after our vacation in florida. very lovable cat to keep our ankles polished too! tmobile data works there. hands down much better than any hotel we've stayed in coming back from florida to indiana. would be a great place to pitch a tent, but ours was at home. campfire. fishing poles available under the shelter. beautiful view to wake to sitting on the dock. host greeted us on arrival very friendly woman, told us where to grab pizza or groceries if needed. bathroom and shower room are separate in same building, both clean.

CBO's and Dana's Lakeside Camp is beautifully nestled in a quiet area. These people are absolutely wonderful and go above and beyond for their campers. Their such great peoople to have met! Children love it here and there is a petting zoo less than a mile from their land. Great quiet location with kid friendly outdoor activities! We loved and valued fishing or a great paddle with the camp's boats. The bath house is easily accesible and very nicely built. I great walk around the pond and a nice rope swing into the water for a swim is a brilliant way to start the day! Little to cold to swim right now; we'll definetly be back a little later down the road and would highly recommend this camping treasure any day!

Loved this lakeside spot!
The spot that we set our tent up was right next to the bathroom and shower. Wonderful grass area that was right next to the lake and very flat! Very peaceful and relaxing before spending the day on Tybee Island the next day! Definitely would come back for more than one night!

Peaceful trip
We booked an overnight stay late the night before we left. Dana quickly responded and was very friendly!! Upon arrival she greeted us, gave us a quick run down and after that we had our own privacy. The cabin and bath house were very clean and well decorated. There was also two sets of towels in the bathhouse as well. We also were allowed to use the boats, fishing poles and life jackets! The property had a trail around the pond, great fishing and an amazing fire pit. Our dog, my boyfriend and I had a BLAST. We will definitely back!!!!! Thank you guys!!

Fantastic Stay
My boyfriend and I stayed at Dana’s cottage with our two chihuahuas and couldn’t have been happier with our accommodations. The cabin was immaculately cleaned prior to out arrival and more spacious than pictures reveal; we had more than enough room! The charming decorations made us truly feel like we were escaping for a weekend. Dana and Cbo’s property is absolutely breathtaking, as they have a beautiful pond perfect for boat rides and fishing. The hosts were gracious enough to have boats, life jackets and fishing equipment guests could utilize! There is also a covered area perfect for watching the pups play in the grass and an outhouse/shower that is kept pristine only a few steps from the cabin! We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit at night! The path you can take around the pond is filled with beautiful vegetation, wildlife, and a view of the expansive farm. My favorite thing about the cabin was the breathtaking sunsets and view of the stars. Minimal light pollution allowed us to experience the best views of stars we had ever seen. This cabin is perfect for romantic getaways or family time on the lake! We would definitely return!

The epitome of what we needed
Our music festival got cancelled so we booked this last minute. We had the two days to ourselves! Was so private and relaxing. It was our first “real” camping trip that was not festival involved. We got scared of the farm cats rustling during the night but Dana was kind enough to drive to our location to check on us (a good laugh). We had trouble finding the location at first, drove an hour out :/ to be fair, these directions normally work for most but we are unsure why our maps messed up. But once we arrived on location, Dana was super sweet and even provided us a pan to cook in (we forgot) and even helped us starting a fire. She’s the perfect place for first time campers or even if you’re experienced, it’s a lovely spot. We were directly next to the lake and she even allowed us access to the pier near. Will be returning again and again!

We had a wonderful time with our 2 dogs relaxing, fishing, grilling, and star gazing on the beautiful secluded camp site. Cbo and Dana were very great hosts, they had the ac already running in the cabin and john boats ready for us to use on their lake. Would love to stay again.

It was everything we expected. My kid's caught several fish and i managed to bring in a few bass. The cabin was clean and the little bathhouse was perfect. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks Dana for the great weekend getaway thats only 25 minutes down the road!

Lovely and tranquil!
Did a one night stay. We wanted an impromptu night camping that wasn't too far from home. Found Dana's place on Hipcamp, booked and arrived 2 days later. Dana was very welcoming and wonderful. We camped on the bank. Spent some time floating in our inner tubes. The moon over the farm was beautiful! The facilities are rustic (in a good way!) and quant. We want to come back in the fall!
