The intention behind naming this the Cloud, is in honor of the lands the atmospheric connection to the Sea. The Cloud, is currently in the process of becoming a retreat space and eco village for guests to come experience. While still curating the space, the land is being brought together with a passion for saving trees and their priceless ecological function. The large Spruce trees that cover the land stand with strong branches and are covered with magnificent green needles. These needles collect water vapor from the air, thus offering water droplets onto the ground. This natural process provides a vibrant and lush natural habitat. The Cloud is an intentional space where those on the land are invited to become mindful and connect not only with the land, but with themselves.

Primitive campground nestled in the mountains along the scenic Smith River in Oregon. Great forest views and hikes. Awesome fishing opportunities next to the Smith River and close to other great fishing spots. Great meeting place for families to make memories that last a lifetime. We don’t offer any hook ups at the sites but amenities include: Bathrooms, showers, potable water, and an RV dump. Also recommend when driving to our campground when you use most apps for directions to take the route that takes you to Reedsport then east on Lower smith river rd. The other routes are not recommended because they are logging roads and can be difficult with trailers and even small cars. Any questions feel free to message me.

River View is located in Glenada. No bathroom or running water, but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available at the pole. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 kids, 2 large dogs, 2 cats, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are not allowed in the tiny house and that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood and fresh eggs for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you bring your own portable toilet set up. No smoking in the Tiny House. This rustic property is close enough to Hwy 101 and downtown to be convenient, but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway, but once at the top, it is flat, and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red-tailed hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). It is quite an "up and down" walk to Old Town for dinner, or you can bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Prichard State Park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river.  Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by!

We offer two types of campsites at Prosper Bluff: Our Prosper Bluff with river access site can accommodate individuals or small groups of up to 3 small or medium-sized camp vehicles*. This open field camp with expansive views of the majestic Coquille River and Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge is perfect for those who prioritize a spectacular view and privacy away from other campers while being close to town and recreation opportunities. Guests will have river and dock access via a trail that starts at the campsite, and can enjoy fishing, crabbing, or simply taking in the breathtaking scenery. Each site comes with a convertible bench/table for two and a flat grassy area to camp with plenty of room to turn your vehicle around. The two sites are separated by dense trees to ensure privacy from neighboring campers. While these sites don't come with the epic view or river access of our bluff site, they are peaceful and conveniently located. Please message us with any questions. This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna. Campers are encouraged to explore, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common. Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks, and lakes within 10 miles. We do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise. Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets. There are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night. **Be advised that we are slowly working on the property to eventually create more camping space. There was a lot of dirt/fill brought in over the winter of 2022 and the property may not be as green as years past.** Please be our guests, relax, and enjoy!

It has an attached full bath, queen bed and "XL" size bunk cots, kitchenette, couches, TV, WI-FI, covered deck, firepit and more. The best camping in William M. Tugman State Park, OR guide

Overview

About

Tugman Park is relatively unknown, which is why it's perfect for your getaway. Nearby Oregon Dunes get most of the attention. Eel Lake, barely inland from the Oregon coast, is an angler's paradise. This hideaway is quiet, peaceful, and filled with nature.

Cast your line for largemouth bass, rainbow trout, crappie, and steelhead. If you catch any Coho salmon, you must release them. The other species are fair game for your dinner. Use the fishing dock if you don't have a boat. BYOB (bring your own boat) and use the boat ramp.

A small beach is ideal for swimming on a hot summer day. Eat lunch at the gazebo-style shelter. A lone hiking trail on the south end of the lake takes you away from the developed areas and into cozy, secluded inlets. You might spot some osprey, cranes, eagles, and deer.

The campground works well as a headquarters for exploring Coos Bay, the dunes, and Reedsport. Around 93 campsites have electricity and water. Some 16 yurts offer glamping opportunities.

Notable campgrounds

  • Electrical sites with water – Enjoy the convenience of electric and water hookups amid a forest of shore pines.
  • Yurts – Experience a unique stay in one of the park's comfortable yurts, some of which are pet-friendly and accessible.
  • Hiker/biker camp – A special camping experience designed for those traveling by bike or on foot.

Tips for snagging a campsite

  • Book early – Reserve your spot up to 6 months in advance to secure your ideal campsite.
  • Midweek stays – Consider visiting during the week for better availability and a quieter experience.
  • Off-peak seasons – Explore the park's beauty during shoulder seasons when campsites are easier to book.
  • Explore nearby camping options – If Tugman is full, check out other local campgrounds for additional opportunities.

When to go

William M. Tugman State Park is open year-round, offering a different charm each season. Summer brings warm days perfect for lake activities, while spring and fall offer quieter visits with mild weather. Winter can be wet but provides a peaceful solitude. Avoid holiday weekends if you prefer a less crowded experience.

Know before you go

  • Check fishing regulations – Stay informed about current fishing rules for Eel Lake by visiting the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife website.
  • Firewood restrictions – Purchase firewood locally to prevent the spread of invasive species.
  • Electric vehicle charging – Two EV charging stations are available at the day-use parking area.
  • No wifi – Prepare for a digital detox as the park does not offer wifi services.
  • Pet-friendly options – Select yurts accommodate pets, so include your furry friends in your adventure.
