This was one of the best campsites I have ever stayed at. Private, magical, with access to kayaks and canoes. The lakeside campsites and walks by the river and on the gravel pathway were phenomenal. The stars at night were incredible. The property is extremely well cared for. I will definitely be back!

It was a nice stay. Unfortunately the weather was poor for 3 of the 5 days I was there but I made the best of it. My site had "water access" it was on the water but besides launching a canoe it isn't very good for swimming, very weedy, same as the common beach area. I went to Hutcheson beach which is only a five minute drive away. It would still be nice to see a floating dock added. The site was spacious and it was nice to have the canvas tent there. It is very dark in the tent so bring extra lighting. The bed was comfortable but it needs a head board so the pillows don't fall off. Maybe some hooks or a shelf to put things on. The space between sites is substantial and you have a lot of privacy from other campers, it was very secluded considering it was only 8-10 minutes to downtown Huntsville. I had a nice and relaxing stay. Looking forward to my next visit.

Really enjoyed our second year at campsite 3. We love having access to the lake and the kayaks. This year we had some issues with Raccoons but other than that it was a great time.

This place is amazing! We will surely come back. Our dog enjoyed it so much, and the place was so peaceful, even the lake during the storm! We stayed at Site 4, and it couldn’t have been better. We had so much fun despite the weather, and the lake was safe to swim in. We enjoyed the kayaks too! My friends are already asking when we’re going back. 🛶 ♥️

We enjoyed site 4 on Haylee's property in our C Class RV. (No issues driving the RV to the site). We happened to be the only ones on the property the days we stayed... so a full property for ourselves. It was perfect. The firepit was expansive, water access lovely, night sky beautiful, and the use of kayaks & canoe a definite plus plus. We brought our dog as well and a draw for the property was that she could be off leash. (She appreciated that part). Looking forward to another stay sooner than later.

It would have a very nice camping experience if it did not rain for 2 whole days. The campsite is good sized and clean. We love the canvas tent as its spacious and clean. It helped a lot with the nonstop rain. We love that there are provided kayaks, fishing boat and canoe for guests use. The lake is calm but unluckily got any fishes. We are also 7 mins from Huntsville downtown so thats a big plus. The only thing would have wanted is if there are trails to explore as we love hiking. Overall, we had a good time and our dog who's off leash the whole is very happy.

A special haven

My partner and I have had an amazing weekend camping at Hayley’s Muskoka Wellness Retreat, it is really peaceful, the lake is amazing to paddle board with very calm water, it is enough nearby so you can have an 8 minutes ride to an amazing coffee, restaurants and shop for souvenirs if you want to! The views over the lakes are amazing from morning to dawn! We will definitely be back! Thank you Hayley!

This site is right on the water, great for kayaking and canoeing. No light pollution, so the stars shine bright. Lots of space to set up camp. And the hosts were very helpful and pleasant. I’d definitely revisit this site. 👍🏼👍🏼

A Peaceful Lakeside Escape

This place is a beautiful hidden gem! We camped for four nights in our trailer, spending two nights in Site 3, which was well shaded, and two nights in Site 4, which was larger and more open with less shade. The campsites were well maintained, the lake was beautiful for swimming with a shallow, sandy entry, and the setting felt peaceful and private, away from the other cottages on the lake. We brought a mesh mosquito shelter, a Thermacell, and mosquito coils, which made relaxing outside much more comfortable. Haylee was a friendly and attentive host, and our son’s first camping trip made our stay even more special. We look forward to returning someday! 😊

It’s definitely a hidden gem!! So happy we found it. It was super quiet, very private and great to have water access right from the site. The lake was warm with sandy bottom. Haylee is a great host, quick to respond to our questions. We enjoyed ourselves immensely!

Another Great Stay!

This was our 2nd time at this gem. We stayed at site#4 this time and it was very spacious. All day sun and great access to the lake. I cooked all our meals over the large fire pit. The wood that we ordered was very seasoned and burned great. Spent a lot of time on the lake with our fishing kayaks and caught many pike. There are no cottages on this part of Vernon Lake so it was very peaceful. The lake is clean and great for swimming which we did quite often. Thanks again for sharing this gem with us again. Last minute overnight camp!

Everything about this place was perfect for us! It was easy to find, private and clean. Our site was right on the water with a fire pit and a picnic table. The outhouse was impeccably cleaned and close to our site. We had access to kayaks and a canoe however, we didn't end up having time to use them. Hayley was extremely responsive and friendly. We definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area!

Loved the campsite! Haylee was super clear about everything leading up to the camping trip and never hesitated to respond to questions. The site was clean and well setup for us to have a great time with watercrafts available and a beautiful waterfront spot to launch from and hang out at. Would love to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay on site 3! The site has excellent water access for paddling, fishing and swimming. Restroom was clean and a very short walk away. Communication was quick and easy. We will definitely be back!

4 day stay was great!

We had site 3, with excellent access to the water and a site that was just the right size for two tents and a dining shelter, as well as two cars. We had the place to ourselves, but we did meet the hosts and their family who ensured all was up to standard. Portable toilet was serviced while we stayed, and was nice and clean. Very convenient to have 3 kayaks, a canoe, with safety equipment, paddles, and PFDs available. Site 3 had a sandy, mid-shin beach area that led to the lake which was a typical lake bottom. Water in the bay was a bit iron coloured. We enjoyed swimming and paddling around! A great stay!! Thanks!
