Was responsive, met us at the entrance to say hi. There were kayaks to use and everything was very well kept. So so silent at nighttime it was perfect
Site 3. We loved it. Great creek side setting, exceptional views, awesome water access and sunsets. The stars were amazing so dark. The sites are large and very clean plenty of space. The peacefulness and vibe of the property really stood out for us. Trails were good for exploring. Lots of mushrooms. With no services and completely off grid it was the perfect opportunity to unplug and get away from the noise. Dan the host was fantastic. Super chill vibe and made us feel very welcome. We wanted for nothing. Penny his dog is so sweet. We were sad to leave but our adventure took us further in the bush to some great lakes for paddling and enjoying the rest of our holidays. We will be back!
We stayed on site 3 and it was beautiful. The sky was so dark at night, making for great star gazing. There’s trails to walk through the forest with lots of different species of mushrooms waiting to be admired.
Dan was wonderful! Easy to contact if we had any issues (we didn’t) and was kind enough to let us use his kayaks!
We hope to be back next year!

Tent camping at Dan's Creekside Camp was quiet and peaceful. It was just about the closest you can get to backcountry camping easily with a car. The fog over the creek and nearby lake this morning was beautfiul, and we heard & saw a variety of birds during our short time there. Dry firewood was available on-site to purchase and Dan helped us out with refilling some of our water. The massive charcoal kilns were a neat historical feature. Site #3 was the only one with bathroom facilities (open air privvy) (BYO TP). This would be an ideal place to spend a night before heading into Algonquin from the west entrance. We enjoyed our stay very much! Thanks to Dan for accommodating our short notice booking!
We had the best time camping at Dan’s Creekside site 3. It was at the end of the property so it felt very private and had a gorgeous view. There was even a little trail to the water right next to our campsite. Dan was very kind and checked with us if we needed anything. We will definitely be back!
From the warm welcomes to the incredible scenery and to the goodbyes, Creekside Camp has now become a favourite spot quickly. Dan is a very welcoming host and super knowledgeable with his property. A clean and well maintained site that is clearly signed and has so many opportunities for canoeing, kayaking and just watching the sunset or star gazing.

Amazing site ! The lake and general area was remote and beautiful, dan the host was super friendly and welcoming, made me and my friends feel like we were at home !
We had an amazing time at Creekside in site 2, the site is huge and feels so comfortable. Dan stopped by a couple times and brought his beautiful dog penny who is a sweet heart. Dan let us use his kayaks and gave us good tips on where to swim and fish, and we had great conversations. The beautiful views in and around the property already made us want to come back but how welcoming Dan and Penny are cemented that.
It was my baby’s first camping trip and it felt very safe.

Stunning view, peace and quiet, absolutely friendly host.
We absolutely loved our stay at Creekside Camp! The campsite was peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful nature. We especially enjoyed the quiet creek, the wildlife, and all the wild raspberries growing around the property.
My husband and I usually enjoy backcountry canoe camping, so we really appreciate peaceful places surrounded by nature. This campsite gave us that same peaceful feeling while still being easy to access.
We originally planned to stay for two nights, but because of the weather forecast, we decided to head home a day early. We were disappointed to leave because we were enjoying our stay so much. We’ll definitely be back and stay longer next time!
Dan was a wonderful host, and we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at Creekside! Dan met us when we arrived and gave a bunch of helpful tips (the one a day hike was great!). The site is between the two others but still feels very spacious and private. It’s right on the lake, we borrowed the green kayaks and went for a paddle before watching the sunset. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing trip on Dan's site. He was very generous with his time and resources, as well as his knowledge of the area. The property is well maintained and isolated, allowing for a beautiful camping experience. During our stay we saw foxes, a range of cool mushrooms, and even the northern lights! This is a great camp spot for anyone who is looking to get away.

First time solo camping and trying out a new kayak and definitely without a doubt would say and recommend that this was a wonderful spot to go first time solo camping! The campsites were perfect with the scenery and the sounds of the wildlife all around. Getting out on the water was great as well and very calming with the beautiful scenery all around.

Dan’s place is an absolutely perfect place to get away! You haven’t experienced quiet until you go there. It’s really, really off the beaten path with zero cell service but that’s actually a refreshing change. It forces you enjoy this remote setting that’s abundant in wildlife and stunning scenery. Not a place to go if you’re looking for a weekend party. Dan is a super host.This is a hidden gem. I’ll be back.

Dan has a lovely, quiet site with lots of critters to keep you entertained. A mix of sunny spots and shady spots to keep everyone happy! Dan is a very kind host with a wealth of knowledge about wildlife and I really appreciated him letting me know about local attractions. He also came to warn me about high winds on the way!

This campsite is a fantastic, truly remote getaway. If you’re looking to completely unplug and escape, this is the perfect spot—there is no cell signal, which was exactly what I wanted and expected. What a beautiful and private Hipcamp Dan is running. He was a great host and has set the sites up thoughtfully with a garbage bin and some firewood.
We hope to be back again soon.
Dan is a great host and was super helpful and easy to talk to. He knows every animal in that area. The site was quiet and peaceful, also open and level ground with cut grass. I’ll be staying there again

Second winter camping stay at Creekside Campground, and it’s still my favourite spot. Dan continues to be the absolute best host—welcoming, helpful, and always making the experience even better. Can’t recommend this place enough!
We made a last minute decision to spend Christmas in the woods. Dan pulled through with an amazing site and experience. A great property with an amazing history in Charcoal production. The site was everything we needed, fire pit, beautiful surrounding, peace and quiet. We will definitely be returning in the Spring.
We had an amazing time at Dan's campsite. Dan had been amazing, provided us with warm water, firewood and even had a chance to hangout around the campfire and learn about the site. he also gave some great recommendations of things to check out. Do Check out Crystal Cave which is amazing.

No cell service for miles, no crowds or noise, just beautiful nature in all it's splender. Many thanks to Dan for sharing his cherished space, being a courteous and informative host. Love the chats with Dan.
Spacious and peaceful campsite! The leaves were just starting to turn red when we visited, which made it extra pretty. Plenty of drinking water, picnic table, and chairs. Dan is an amazing host — super kind and even helped us get our drone back from a pine tree. Highly recommend!
Clean site, lots of room for parking, beautiful view
I cant say enough good things about this place. It was absolutely beautiful. A large open area with a nicely crafted xl picnic table and fire pit. There was water and a garbage can on site. There were lots of trails and bodies of water everywhere. Dan was an awesome host and was more than helpful. My only drawback was lack of cellular service (Bell mobility). But honestly the total disconnect was definitely needed. First time I slept for 8 hours in months. Love love love it and I will be back very soon.
Fourth time to Creekside. I REALLY didn’t want to leave even after 4 nights. Like back country wilderness with the ease of car camping. I camp for the wildlife and Creekside never disappoints!
