We have 4.4 acres of land on a spring fed lake. (Even though it is spring fed the water is warm for swimming.) We are located between Trout Creek and Port Loring on Hwy 522. We have 3 vintage trailers, each with a slightly different experience. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, swimming and fishing. We also have a 4 person paddle boat. Bring water shoes if you have them. The water edge is in it's natural state. The trailers come fully equipped. You need only bring food, bedding and 1 pound propane tanks to use the small barbeque. Our property is off the electric grid. The trailers have fridges and stoves powered by propane and the lights are powered by battery recharged with solar panels. We do not at this time have running water and the toilets are clean outhouses - not stinky and disgusting. We have a couple of small docks and you can fish right from the dock. If you are a bird lover you will enjoy watching the blue heron and hearing the loons and frogs sing at night. This property often experiences spectacular sun sets. We have fire pits, books and board games.

Welcome to Restoule! We have 60 acres of very private camping. Our land is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. We have loads of trails and a 2500ft canal that leads to Commanda lake. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals. The site is well maintained and the forest is quiet and beautiful. Guests can enjoy hiking, biking, wildlife watching, and so much more! Our property is family and pet friendly, designed specifically for those who really enjoy camping without 1500 neighbors and a fun o'clock switch. I live on the canal trail half way to the lake. Cranberry Camp is located 7 kms past the village of Pointe au Baril. It’s surrounded by Ontario native forest (the “bush”) and wetlands in the hinterlands of Georgian Bay. We love to share this beautiful part of the world with visitors! We are 3kms from Sturgeon bay Provincial Park (a nice beach!) and 3kms from the Bayfield Inlet public launch on Georgian Bay (visit the iconic pink rocks and windswept trees of Georgian Bay). We came to this area because of the fresh air and clean water. Visitors to the area should be aware that you cannot see any of the Georgian Bay coastline from the highway or roads. We highly recommend you get out on the water in a boat of some kind (there is water access near here for canoes, kayaks and other boats). We also recommend that visitors go to the French River Provincial Park to understand the unique history and culture of the area. That park is 35-40 min north from here and has a lovely small museum/interpretive centre and a footbridge over the French River. This secondary highway (ON 529) is fairly quiet and decent for cycling. It's very quiet north of the ON 529A turn-off! Cranberry Camp also has a small house, a guest lodge for retreats (we host healthy living and healthy building workshops), 2 lovely and private recreational vehicles (a 24’ Jayco and a 27’ Cougar) as well as a tiny home. All spaces are scent-free, low VOC and no WiFi. We help people create healthy homes and buildings. Hipcamp sites are accessed from hard-packed dirt/gravel driveway either perpendicular or parallel to the road. An outhouse contains a composting toilet (using the Humanure system), a solar light and jug of water for handwashing. We love to host people getting away from the city or taking exploratory road trips.

Immerse yourself in a one of a kind glamping experience in Algonquin Highlands, where you can reconnect with nature amidst Ontario’s vast forests and freshwater lakes all while in the comfort of a unique stargazing geodesic dome. Unlike traditional camping, the dome offers almost 300 square feet of tranquil living space, a plush king size bed, a wood burning stove, a cozy seating area and a skylight for mesmerising stargazing views. Wake up to the echoing calls of loons and take in the stunning vistas of the Algonquin Highlands from your secluded lakeside retreat! This exclusive dome is uniquely situated on the serene ‘Louie’ lake, surrounded by pristine crown land forests. With no neighbours for miles, you’ll enjoy unparalleled solitude and tranquility, making it the perfect escape into nature. Nestled between Algonquin Provincial Park and the Muskokas, there is an abundance of nearby activities and attractions for nature lovers alike including hiking and biking trails, fishing, and captivating wildlife viewing and photography opportunities (Especially the fall colours and Northern lights). Escape to the perfect fusion of nature and modern comforts that awaits you! *Please be aware that May to June is bug season. We understand that insects, particularly black flies and mosquitoes, can be an inconvenience and may impact the outdoor experience for some guests. Unfortunately, insect activity is a natural part of Northern Ontario's environment during certain times of the year and, much like the weather, is beyond our control. While some guests are not particularly bothered by it, others may find it more noticeable. We encourage all prospective guests to familiarize themselves with what to expect during bug/black fly season so they can make an informed decision about when to book and to be better prepared.
