The cabin is NOW OPEN for bookings! Stay in our special little rustic cabin nestled amongst 100 unspoiled acres of mixed forest with various walking trails on the property. It's the perfect place to unplug, unwind and completely connect with nature to enjoy some quiet time. In this cozy glamping setting, you will be serenaded by birds of every kind and will often see deer drinking by the stream close by. This cabin is OFF GRID (limited solar power) but has a wood stove (bundles of firewood available for purchase), propane outdoor portable grill, and enough solar power for very small electronic appliances. Sleeps 3 adults comfortably (or 2 adults & 2 children however msg us if you have any questions). Indoor bathroom with compostable toilet indoors. Many attractions and conveniences only 10-15 mins away in Port Sydney, Bracebridge and Huntsville. Nearby is a the beautiful public Mary Lake beach and boat launch in Port Sydney. There is NO HUNTING permitted on the property. Please expect bugs, flies and mosquitoes. Deck is mostly enclosed to make star filled nights that much more enjoyable. There is also a sugar shack and garage on the property for viewing purposes only. There is an outdoor propane shower and a large cooler available for your convenience as well. Guests to bring their own ice. Looking forward to sharing our special little zen hideaway! NEARBY -Algonquin Park -Arrowhead Provincial Park -TreeTop Trekking (Huntsville) -Limberlost Forest Reserve -Santa's Village in Bracebridge (30mins) -Horseback riding at Winding Fences Farm in Windermere (25mins) -Scenic rapids and a great picnic spot on the Muskoka River in Port Sydney. RESTAURANT RECOMMENDATIONS -Tall Trees Muskoka Restaurant -Huntsville Brewhouse -Boston Pizza -El Pueblito Many amenities nearby (grocery stores, drug stores, fast food, farmer's markets, coffee shops, etc) Huntsville is 18km, Bracebridge is 27km andPort Sydney is 8.5km from the cabin.Welcome to our little piece of heaven amongst 100 acres of a wooded and wildlife setting. This off-grid cabin sleeps 3 people comfortably with 1 queen bed in the loft and a futon on the main floor. It comes equipped with a wood stove, nearly completely enclosed deck, outdoor shower and dining area, outdoor propane cooking stove and BBQ, indoor compostable toilet and many kitchen necessities. The high ceilings give the feeling of openness and relaxation. Solar system provides a full 300W of power on sunny days. Plugging in a laptop is the maximum amount of power you would want to use in terms of small appliances. Very good cell service. Many extras are provided to make your stay as convenient as possible. The 3 mins drive to the cabin is quite picturesque but bumpy with a few protruding rocks so please use caution while driving. Location is remote however you are 10mins away from the beautiful town of Port Sydney and 15mins south of Huntsville. Perfect location and stay to fully indulge in what Muskoka has to offer. Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat
A wonderful weekend getaway!
This cabin was absolutely wonderful and the host was amazing! My boyfriend and I rented the cabin for a weekend getaway for his birthday and I'm extremely impressed by the host's amazing hospitality and communication. Cari was quick to answer all and any questions I had leading up to and during our stay. She even lit a fire for us before arrival to ensure the cabin was warm when we got there and she allowed us to check out later since no one booked it it the same day we were checking out. The cabin was well stocked firewood, a few decks of cards, books and board games. Many kitchen supplies are provided as well such as pots, pans, cutlery, glassware, plates, bowls and cooking utensils. Lots of water available for cooking and cleaning with, but you need to bring your own water to drink. The bed was extremely comfortable and the couch was amazing to lounge around on as well! The road to the cabin was quite slippery so be sure to make sure your car is equipped with winter tires and has 4 wheel drive. Alternatively, a sled was provided along with a parking spot at the entrance, which would be a 5-8 min walk in. I would absolutely love to stay here again and would recommend this site to anyone who is looking for a cozy getaway!!

Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat
Winter wonderland
Cari’s cabin was everything we needed for a few nights away from a busy life in the city. From the wood stove to the silent woods around us, it really required us to slow down and be present. We were also under an hour away from Algonquin and made the day trip for a lovely hike, and you’re only 20 minutes from Huntsville. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to unwind and unplug!

Peaceful Off-Grid Cabin Retreat
Absolutely perfect little cabin!
We had such a nice stay at this little cabin, what a gem. It is perfectly quiet and private, and we stayed super toasty and cozy with the little woodstove. We really appreciated the extra touches, like lots of tea lights and lanterns, batteries, a solar powered radio, hunter orange vests so that we could go for nice walks. The little deck with a patio was perfect for sitting out in nature, watching the birds at the feeder, and enjoying one of the many varieties of tea in the cupboard, along with fresh cookies from a local bakery. The fire had already been lit when we arrived, so we walked in to a nice warm cabin, with plenty of firewood stacked next to it. There were several full water jugs already in the kitchen, and Cari checked in with us halfway through our stay to make sure that we didn't need more water or anything else. She made us feel very welcome, and was quick to respond to any questions that we had. We are hoping to make this an annual trip, and would love to return to this sweet little cabin in the woods.

The cabin was the perfect place to unwind for the weekend. It is equipped with everything you could need and more. A great spot to adventure in the forest on the property or to cozy up on the porch. We can't wait to go back!
