Campsite Overview:
We offer four distinct campsites, including a “Glamping“ Canvas Tent. Each site is thoughtfully positioned to provide a sense of privacy while maximizing the breathtaking views of the surroundings. The harmonious blend of seclusion and community allow guests to enjoy the solitude of nature while sharing the experience with their companions. Basic amenities such as fire pits and picnic tables are available at each site. A portable toilet is available for your use.
Lake Access:
One of the highlights of our property is its proximity to a pristine lake, offering a picturesque setting for water-based activities. With exclusive access to the lake, we encourage you to embark on a kayaking or canoeing adventure, or simply enjoy a peaceful swim. (Kayaks and a Canoe are available to all guests on a first-come, first-served basis.)
Stargazing and Campfires:
As the sun sets over our nature reserve, the real magic begins. With minimal light pollution, our property becomes an ideal spot for stargazing! Gather around a crackling campfire at your designated site sharing stories and forging unforgettable memories under the vast expanse of the night sky.

There is NO HUNTING permitted on the property. Please expect bugs, flies and mosquitoes. Deck is mostly enclosed to make star filled nights that much more enjoyable. There is also a sugar shack and garage on the property for viewing purposes only. There is an outdoor propane shower and a large cooler available for your convenience as well. If you’re feeling adventurous you can hike around the surrounding forest; stay within the property boundaries and you will discover the hydro cut and its valley view, the ravine, the waterfall, and a footpath that leads to a bridge at the back of the lot. Or simply just relax and enjoy the soundings and view from the sitting rocks.
The public beach for swimming is a quick walk down Beach Road. It has a large dock, picnic tables, grassy area along with an portapotty. Or check out the sandbar and drop off at the boat launch at the end of the road. The lake has a diverse shoreline and perfect for small boats and kayaks. Enjoy beautiful sunsets overlooking the western end of the lake.

Stay here for a day or a week, this off-grid little resort has all the necessities that one would need, and make you want to come back again!
We are excited to offer 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. 20 min to Parry Sound. These cabins are located within 75 acres of forest. Each cabin features either two single beds or one king-size bed. Cabins are insulated but have no heat so bring own pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Accommodation is limited to two adults per cabin.
Common areas for all cabins include:
1) Outdoor Kitchen (includes pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils etc.),
2) Freezer/Fridge,
3) BBQ,
4) Indoor Shower (hot and cold water),
5) Outdoor Shower (hot and cold water) and
6) Toilet/Outhouse with running cold water.
The large BBQ is equipped with 5 burners for the grill. There is also 1 side pot burner for foiling water and another ceramic grilling burner.
Additionally, we have three tent spots available, with one designated for each cabin. There is ample parking space for guests. You can enjoy the convenience of a shower with hot water and a BBQ pit.
Address is 261 Star Lake rd. Seguin. Its the second driveway when going north on Star lake rd. Look for a sign MAPLE RIVERS LANE.
From Hwy 400, get off on hwy 141. Go east towards Rosseau. Turn left at Tally Hoe/Swords, then right at Turtle lake rd and left at Star lake rd.
Explore the various trails for hiking, mountain biking, and even a small white water creek. There are plenty of lakes in the surrounding area. Seguin Trail is just 1 km away. A beautiful Maple Key Park and sandy beach awaits you only 4 km from the site. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the nearby historic town of Orrville.
Stay here for a day or a week, this off-grid little resort has all the necessities that one would need, and make you want to come back again! These 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. Explore the various trails for hiking, mountain biking, and even a small white water creek. Fire wood is all around the forest Pick anything that is down and enjoy the common fire pit. Also a flashlight and some bug spray might help.
This is a family oriented camping:
1) Please refrain from using offensive language,
2) Smoking allowed around fire pit only,
3) Please place all cigarette butts in fire pit,
4) Absolutely no candles allowed, (if desired please use insents only!)
5) Parties allowed only upon verbal consent from the management,
6) We have no cleaning fee so please keep your cabin neat and tidy.
7) Before checkout please place all garbage in and around the cabin into main bin located beside the outdoor kitchen.

Come and camp on beautiful Eagle Lake with approximately 120' frontage facing North. The campsites are only steps away from the water’s edge where you can enjoy stunning sunsets. Swimming, fishing and a playground are just across the road. The sites have a raised fire pit to cook your meals and a picnic table for enjoying them. We can provide firewood for $12 a bag, just ask!
These medium sites can accommodate two tents or a small camper with a total of four people. There is a shared outhouse, with flush toilets at the park across the road. Each site has water and electricity, and you can also find a WIFI signal nearby.
Eagle Lake Narrows Country Store is on the same three acre property. There you can rent boat, canoe, kayak, SUP and bicycles. Right across the road is a public beach, perfect for a relaxing day with family or friends. The public beach also is equipped with handy amenities like bathrooms, change rooms, fishing docks, and extra parking.
Eagle Lake is approximately 3 hours from Toronto, just over 4 hours from Ottawa, and less than an hour to Huntsville. It is very close to Algonquin Park.

Weekend Trip to Beneath the Stars - Haliburton County Escape
We had an absolutely amazing weekend here, and Vanessa provided everything we could possibly need.
The wood stove was easy to maintain and keep burning, and the locale was quiet and so gorgeous. We loved coming back from a day of activities to watch old movies on vhs.
We can’t wait to come back and spend more time here!

We made a last minute decision to spend Christmas in the woods. Dan pulled through with an amazing site and experience. A great property with an amazing history in Charcoal production. The site was everything we needed, fire pit, beautiful surrounding, peace and quiet. We will definitely be returning in the Spring.

We had an amazing time at Dan's campsite. Dan had been amazing, provided us with warm water, firewood and even had a chance to hangout around the campfire and learn about the site. he also gave some great recommendations of things to check out. Do Check out Crystal Cave which is amazing.

We stayed at the Hemlock Grove site with 7 people, 3 cars and had plenty of room! We had 2 hammocks and 3 tents, this site is great for hammocking. Brent was very accommodating and provided all the information we needed. Unfortunately we got hit with some bad weather, but I would recommend Tryfan Forest to anyone looking to enjoy a quiet weekend on a beautiful piece of land.

Due to vehicle problems, I was unable to make my way to the site. Therefore, I can not comment on the facilities and the site. However, Brian was very supportive and attentive throughout. I can say that he is a fantastic host. I will definitely go to this site next time.

We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.

I’m truly glad I discovered this place. My friends and I found so much more than we expected. The Mitziville team was incredibly welcoming and accommodating — thanks to them, I was able to organize a surprise birthday celebration for my husband and bring together our big group of friends.
We were absolutely thrilled with our spot: a spacious area with several fire pits, a provided toilet, and picnic tables. It felt private and peaceful since the nearby sites were set far apart. It’s one of those rare moments when you stumble upon a hidden gem. The nature was stunning, and the grounds were beautifully maintained.
We’ll definitely be back — our group has been looking for a place like this for a long time

Always a pleasure tent camping at Middle Earth, this was our third time here, second time at the woodlands camp site! The fall colours were incredible and we got to hang out with the squirrels and toads. This spot is very private with lots of space for parking and tents, and a nice large fire ring. Definitely prepare the necessities for taking care of business in the wild!

Everything about this place was perfect for us! It was easy to find, private and clean.
Our site was right on the water with a fire pit and a picnic table. The outhouse was impeccably cleaned and close to our site. We had access to kayaks and a canoe however, we didn't end up having time to use them.
Hayley was extremely responsive and friendly.
We definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area!
