Weekend Trip to Tryfan Forest

We stayed at the Hemlock Grove site with 7 people, 3 cars and had plenty of room! We had 2 hammocks and 3 tents, this site is great for hammocking. Brent was very accommodating and provided all the information we needed. Unfortunately we got hit with some bad weather, but I would recommend Tryfan Forest to anyone looking to enjoy a quiet weekend on a beautiful piece of land.

Due to vehicle problems, I was unable to make my way to the site. Therefore, I can not comment on the facilities and the site. However, Brian was very supportive and attentive throughout. I can say that he is a fantastic host. I will definitely go to this site next time.

A beautiful and accessible but secluded spot! Great for a relaxed car camping experience. The host was helpful and responsive. Fire pit and provided chairs/picnic tables were all in excellent condition. Bathroom also excellent and clean. 10 / 10 would camp again!

We had a really good experience at the cozy cabin #2 in Highland Farm and Stable. It was a very pleasant stay, and we enjoyed a lot. The place was peaceful and comfortable — perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Weekend Trip to Off Grid Dark Sky River Retreat

Wonderful setup and lovely location. Up on a hill surrounded by trees giving lots of privacy. Great clean and cozy outhouse/washroom facility. Lots of seating provided with brand new picnic tables for adults and kids. I am an avid kayaker and the Black River is just steps away. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to be back again.

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome

We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.

The cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway, it's beautifully designed and maintained and is tucked away in the woods which gives you your privacy and lots of trails to explore. I went in early October so got to see beautiful fall colors. Yvonne and Glenn were wonderful hosts, very friendly and lovely people. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Weekend Trip to Middle Earth

Always a pleasure tent camping at Middle Earth, this was our third time here, second time at the woodlands camp site! The fall colours were incredible and we got to hang out with the squirrels and toads. This spot is very private with lots of space for parking and tents, and a nice large fire ring. Definitely prepare the necessities for taking care of business in the wild!

First time here and the host was very welcoming. We picked a spot close to the water but there was no car access to the site so we had to change it at the last minute. The host was very accommodating and made the changes without any issue. We like the site we chose and would come back again.

2 nights at River Gettaway

Lovely spot right by the River on Paul's land. My friend and I pitched our tents on site #2 and had plenty of space to enjoy while also being completely seperated from the other sites. This space offers the ease of car camping with the feel of backcountry - aside from the noise of cars near by (which didnt not bother us in the slightest, especially when sleeping at night) I would love to stay here again and am so thankful that Paul has created this space to share with others.

Sparrow Lake Camp is situated on the southernmost tip of the majestic Canadian Shield. The site is known to have been a campground for bands of the Huron people prior to the European intrusion. It is considered probable that Samuel de Champlain, the first European to explore Huronia, spent a night on this site in the 17th Century.In 1892, what would become the west side of the current property was sold by pioneer Captain Thomas Stanton to Toronto's renowned Massey family to act as their summer resort. The resort sported the main lodge, dining room, and cottages and was only accessible by train and steamer. From the onset, the Masseys used the site as a summer retreat for the Young Men's Bible League of the Central Methodist Church. This is the back of a small beef cattle farm located on beautiful Three Mile Lake in Muskoka Lakes. These sites each have their own private beach with access to approximately 1500 feet of lake front. Beautiful Sherwood creek within walking distance on the property with some beautiful spots for a picnic. Plenty of wild life to see!
