Slim Shady Robyn’s Nest
Our stay at the Robyn's nest was very enjoyable! Ronald and Robyn are great, friendly hosts that have maintained a beautiful property. Not only have they provided a fully functional washroom on site, but they take the time to clean it regularly. There are also many things to do nearby. We will definitely be back to spend more time here!

Easy directions. Flat site to camp on after a short steep hill access.
Deer, wild turkeys, loon & more
Right across the road from a beach where you can swim and a white water racecourse where you can watch people playing, and or racing in the rapids.
A clean washroom as well.
I short drive in to town makes it one of the best places I’ve camped.

What a treasure! From such a warm welcome by Ronald and his wife, the beauty of the land that we camped on and the raved about bathrooms (yes they are soo clean!)
Hubby and I wanted to stay longer as this HipCamp is nested between Horseshoe Lake and Minden's Wild Water Preserve- literally at the end of the driveway!
Lots of activities /games available on property for you to use at your leisure.
The ambiance from the rapids was dreamy

we loved tent camping at robyn’s nest, great campsite and slim shady is highly recommended (and not just because of the name). bathrooms were clean and the lake was just a stones throw away from the site, with a easy access boat launch. 10/10 would book again!

River Sound Robyn’s Nest
Robyn’s nest is one of the best camping sites so far. Both couple are very accommodating, kind and they’re always making sure we’re doing well in our site.
The washroom is well maintained, clean and smells good. So many fun activities/games they prepared to make your day fun and enjoyable experience.
The site are just a few minutes walk down the beautiful, calm Lake and Stunning Running water River that you surely gonna enjoy the cool water from the river.
I definitely recommend the Robyn’s nest to my friends to come and visit the site.

It was an amazing getaway weekend!!!
Ronald and wife are very accommodating and friendly, they don’t mind spending time just to check if guest are all good and having fun!
Very clean, quiet, and washroom is well maintained, Area is just a walking distance from lake and river. You’ll never get board in the camp site, they set up plenty of activity that all ages can play with, mini park for kids as well,
Highly recommended and planning to be back soon!!!

We went camping for the weekend at Robyn’s Nest with our dog and it exceeded our expectations. It is a great location, with the water just across the road as well as the rapids. You are still minutes to the town as well for any last minute items you may need. Robyn and Ron were so kind, coming around each morning and evening to ensure everyone had everything they needed and check in on how everyone’s stay was going. There was plenty of lawn games, privacy between all the sites and the bugs were not bad at all! The bathrooms were a great addition as well, very clean and well maintained. We would definitely come back to Robyn’s nest! Thanks again Robyn and Ron for your hospitality - you guys are great! ☺️

We had a blast at our unique camp site. The hosts were absolutely lovely. Ron met us upon arrival and brought us to our site. Was very peaceful and private. There were lots of games to partake in as a family. Was able to swim just across the st. The water was clear and
clean. We went white water kayaking just a couple mins away. Excellent place to go to. Would definitely come again. Thanks Robyn and Ron!

My boys and I loved camping on this property. The hosts were fantastic, the property was great and there was lots to do for the whole week. We even were treated to some visits from the farm animals. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

We had an amazing time camping at Robyn's Nest! The highlight of our trip was how close the campsite was to the beach, just minutes away. The grounds were clean, quiet, and offered plenty of activities for guests to enjoy. The washroom was a huge plus: spotless, well-maintained, and clearly cared for.
During our weekend stay, we spotted a groundhog, some turkeys, a few cows, and even a deer! Nature all around made the experience even more special.
We’d highly recommend Robyn's Nest to anyone looking for a quiet and fun getaway. Thank you, Ronald!!

Ronald was a great host. Welcoming and helpful the entire stay. The campsite was clean, the available wood was dry, the washrooms are VERY clean. Many games provided. Close to a fantastic little lake. Great walks/ hikes in the area. Would definitely go back. Only comment would be that the campsites are not overly private.

My boyfriend and I brought our Kitty with us for the weekend and had the best time! There were a bunch of outdoor games for us to play, the bathrooms were very clean and the Host were extremely friendly! The beach is right across the stress and there is a beautiful trail looking at the tides. I think you would need a 4 wheel drive to get up the hill , but other than that you are set. The morning we left , the cows came right up to our tent behind the fence and it was magical. We will definitely be back and we highly recommend!

My wife, my kids (our dog and cat) and I stayed at Ron and Robyn's for the weekend and we couldn't be happier. The place was lovely, just a few steps from the water and this beautiful tiny beach, there is so much to do, from taking a swim at horseshoe lake to enjoy hiking through the trails right next to these amazing white water rapids, all of this while surrounded by the most stunning display of nature, this is Kawartha at it's finest!
You can tell and feel all the love, hard work and passion Ron and Robyn put into this beautiful place they own and they make you feel just like home, they are the most attentive, caring and helpful hosts, always making sure you have everything you might need, the place was just PERFECT!!! washrooms are super clean, and firewood is available on site, they also had all these games like axe throwing, corn hole, and such.
Minden is only 5 minutes away which comes in handy for any last minute grab, also the hand scooped ice cream at Kawartha dairy is a MUST TRY.
We really don't have enough words to describe how much of a nice weekend we had, this definitely was a worthy "goodbye summer" trip that we enjoyed every second of, we can't wait to go back next year with our friends for a full house camping at our new favorite place in Kawartha, thank you so much Ron and Robyn for having us, and hope we will see you again soon!!!
It is people like you that makes Canada the beautiful place it is, God bless you guys.

Farm View Robyn’s Nest
Robyn’s nest was amazing. My friends and I had the best weekend. The location itself is so close to many beautiful hikes and lakes. There’s a very small beach just across the street and the white water rapids are very cool to walk along.
Ron and Robyn responded instantly to any concern we had. They provided wonderful restaurant recommendations and places to check out. They had lots of fun games available for us to use including axe throwing and bocce ball. The site itself was very large and more than accommodated our 8 person tent. The fire pit was conveniently placed and they provided the first bundle with the site which was so thoughtful.
We highly recommend this location both for Ron and Robyn’s hospitality and for the beautiful views of the stars and access to amazing nature.

We absolutely loved camping at Robyn’s Nest! Ron and Robyn were amazing hosts! The facilities were very clean. They had a bunch of yard games that we were excited to use and the campsites were spacious. We would love to stay again and highly recommend it to fellow Hipcampers! Ron & Robyn, thank you for making our long weekend one for the books!

First off I would like to say thank you to Robyn and Ron for the wonderful hospitality. My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Robyn's Nest. The sites and surroundings are very well kept. The washroom (Pootopia) is the best. We loved all the games that were supplied.
We saw a beautiful momma deer and her baby, 2 spotted owls came to visit our second night. The stars 🌟 were unbelievable. I saw 7 shooting stars. We took a walk through the Minden Wild Water Preserve, it was so beautiful. We will definitely be booking a few more times this summer. 5 stars 🌟

Loved Robyn's nest! We fell in love with Minden. Being right across from the lake was awesome. Just be aware that the campsite is up a steep hill. We had some inconsiderate late night neighbors but other than that, thank God for the flushable toilets. The location was perfect for gazing up at the stars. Note that the elevation is a bit high so expect a lot of moisture. 😆

Farm View Robyn’s Nest
This was thf perfect solution to a lack of camping area in Haliburton. The location is amazing. Beautiful swimming just 100m from the driveway, and the Minden Whitewater Preserve right across the road. You can hear the whitewater from up at the campsite. The flush toilets and running water were a happy surprise. Hosts Ron and Robyn were the nicest and so helpful and generous. They helped us haul our pop up trailer up the steep driveway as our front wheel drive mini van wouldn't do it. We did have to unhook the trailer and back up the driveway as it's quite steep. But the privacy and quiet of the site made it all perfect. Thanks Ron and Robyn!

Ron is a great guy, and camping on his property was spectacular. Clean facility with two restrooms and firewood readily available. A Badminton net with rackets, axe throwing and lots of room to relax outdoors. The white water rapids are literally across the street, a must see!!

From the moment I arrived, hosts Ronald and Robin welcomed me with genuine warmth and hospitality. The campsite was clean, private, and clearly cared for, with ongoing improvements being made to enhance the experience. I’ll definitely be rebooking for my next extended stay in the Minden area.

Farm View Robyn’s Nest
We decided to visit this campsite on a whim, and it turned out to be a great decision! From the moment we arrived, Ron and Robyn, the hosts, including their family were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Our weekend started off as a bit of a bust, but staying here completely turned it around. The campsite itself was well-maintained, peaceful, and offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The atmosphere was relaxed, and it was clear that Ron and Robyn put a lot of care into ensuring their guests have a great experience.
We can't recommend this place enough! If you're looking for a friendly, welcoming campsite to enjoy, this is definitely be a great choice.
