We had an amazing time at Dan's campsite. Dan had been amazing, provided us with warm water, firewood and even had a chance to hangout around the campfire and learn about the site. he also gave some great recommendations of things to check out. Do Check out Crystal Cave which is amazing. Thank you Dan for your hospitality we will definetly come back soon

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome

We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Mitziville By The Lake

I’m truly glad I discovered this place. My friends and I found so much more than we expected. The Mitziville team was incredibly welcoming and accommodating — thanks to them, I was able to organize a surprise birthday celebration for my husband and bring together our big group of friends. We were absolutely thrilled with our spot: a spacious area with several fire pits, a provided toilet, and picnic tables. It felt private and peaceful since the nearby sites were set far apart. It’s one of those rare moments when you stumble upon a hidden gem. The nature was stunning, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. We’ll definitely be back — our group has been looking for a place like this for a long time

We had a great time at Light House Landing! We celebrated our 6th anniversary at the cabin and it was a great experience, we woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise on the lake! Jim, Alyssa and Fran have created such a welcoming environment and were great hosts (like texting to tell us turtles were hatching on the beach one morning or showing us how to feed the chickadees). The cabins were very nice, clean and on the water. We would highly recommend this little slice of paradise

Compared to most campground sites this is a nice private spot. The quiet river makes a beautiful view and I appreciated the free kayak available with the site. Check in was easy and friendly. There is a public area beside the site which meant there are occasionally people near by but it wasn’t a problem. At other times it was very quiet.

Spacious and peaceful campsite! The leaves were just starting to turn red when we visited, which made it extra pretty. Plenty of drinking water, picnic table, and chairs. Dan is an amazing host — super kind and even helped us get our drone back from a pine tree. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place to stay. Very safe and peaceful. Clean facilities; rustic but tastefully decorated. Would love to come back and stay longer. Jane is a delightful and responsive host. Word to the wise, though, use the physical address for GPS, not the Hipcamp app.

We loved camping on Jen’s land! The directions were clear, the trailer was very clean, cozy, and very comfortable. My kids loved seeing the farm animals and we all loved hiking to the waterfall and seeing the beautiful views of nature. The bonfire with marshmallow roasting was a highlight too!

There was more perks then listed in the ad we were grateful for the levelled deck platform for the tent and the provided barbecue , although we didn’t need it ! Was a nice extra ! Lake was within walking distance via the dirt road ! And another just a short distance in a vehicle ! Plenty of firewood !

The area is peaceful and beautiful, and the night sky full of stars took our breath away. We felt so welcome and relaxed here. Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome. The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. I live on 8.25 acres of level fairly open land. 10 min NE of South River The campground is about 3 acres, with 3 sites Beside a small lake, Wendigo Lake, with a wide creek exiting the lake . Paddling distance to 2 other lakes that feed into Wendigo lake. very quiet, private place, stress free, excellent for relaxing, great place for staging daytrips, safe if you want to do a few days in Algonquin Park. dogs and pets welcome, but must be leashed on the property. I have a friendly dog Penny. the sunsets here are awesome, see pics Located only 12 kms from West entrance to Algonquin Park. Dark skies and fairly open area for stargazing. Many walking trails close by . ATV trails and tours nearby also. Bird migration route, excellent for bird watching. In my 10 yrs here I have seen 97 different species of birds on the property or flying over. Very private, closest neighbor 3/4 km away. Bring your own camp toilet please.
