2 nights at Cozy Cabin in the Woods
The cabin was charming and cozy, it came with various board games to pass the time and a telescope to enjoy the stars at night.
The hammocks or what my partner and I call the nest was relaxing. We also had a golden retriever visit us on our 2nd and last day in the cabin. She was very friendly. If ever she does wander off on your visit, its the neighbor's dog, she is not lost, she's just enjoying the nature like the rest of us.

Weekend Trip to Cozy Cabin in the Woods
My wife and I spent Thanksgiving weekend at Sabrina’s cabin and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute drive from Rosseau, where we found a fantastic general store that had everything we needed (including firewood). We took our dogs to a nearby beach, grabbed great pizza at Rosseau Pizzeria on the boardwalk, treated ourselves to gelato, and browsed a charming antique shop in town.
The cabin itself was amazing—extremely clean, cozy, and full of personality. Sabrina has thought of everything: a full-sized fridge, coffee maker, electric heater that kept the cabin nice and toasty, and even a whole upper loft we didn’t end up needing because the pullout couch on the main floor was perfect for us. Our big dog and mini poodle had plenty of space to stretch out too.
The outhouse was surprisingly spacious and spotless, stocked with toilet paper and featuring a working sink with running water both inside and outside for washing dishes.
We spent most of our time by the fire pit, which was large enough for a group and surrounded by ample seating. Between the two wooden picnic tables, the big deck, and the covered area with hammocks, there were endless spots to relax, cook, and enjoy the outdoors.
Even though the cabin is just off a road, the trees and forest create a real sense of seclusion and peace—you quickly forget there’s any traffic nearby.
Sabrina was extremely kind and welcoming, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. We’d happily come back!

We had a great weekend at Sabrina’s cabin. Felt just like camping with a little less work. Everyone enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks and being so close to Rosseau and nearby trails made for a great fall getaway! Would love to visit again!

Everything about this place was perfect for us! It was easy to find, private and clean.
Our site was right on the water with a fire pit and a picnic table. The outhouse was impeccably cleaned and close to our site. We had access to kayaks and a canoe however, we didn't end up having time to use them.
Hayley was extremely responsive and friendly.
We definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area!

4 nights at Lighthouse Landing Camp
We had a great time at Light House Landing! We celebrated our 6th anniversary at the cabin and it was a great experience, we woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise on the lake! Jim, Alyssa and Fran have created such a welcoming environment and were great hosts (like texting to tell us turtles were hatching on the beach one morning or showing us how to feed the chickadees). The cabins were very nice, clean and on the water. We would highly recommend this little slice of paradise

This cabin was the perfect little getaway for our artist retreat weekend! It's cozy inside and the space heater works very well! The outside has a lot of fun play structures and hammocks to let out your inner kid (or actual kids) and the twinkle lights add a touch of magic! I have been here a few times now and it keeps getting nicer every time! It shows that there is a lot of care and love that has gone into this place :) I highly recommend checking it out!

Loved the campsite! Haylee was super clear about everything leading up to the camping trip and never hesitated to respond to questions. The site was clean and well setup for us to have a great time with watercrafts available and a beautiful waterfront spot to launch from and hang out at. Would love to visit again.

We had site 3, with excellent access to the water and a site that was just the right size for two tents and a dining shelter, as well as two cars.
We had the place to ourselves, but we did meet the hosts and their family who ensured all was up to standard.
Portable toilet was serviced while we stayed, and was nice and clean.
Very convenient to have 3 kayaks, a canoe, with safety equipment, paddles, and PFDs available.
Site 3 had a sandy, mid-shin beach area that led to the lake which was a typical lake bottom. Water in the bay was a bit iron coloured. We enjoyed swimming and paddling around!

We had a wonderful stay on site 3! The site has excellent water access for paddling, fishing and swimming. Restroom was clean and a very short walk away. Communication was quick and easy. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Muskoka Wellness Retreat
Camping right on the lake was awesome. Beautiful, calming view from the site (#2). #3 also has a great view (and the best water access of any of the four sites). The little solar-powered charger was nice to light up the tent whenever needed. All sites filled up for the weekend, so it was slightly noisier than we'd hoped but still nowhere near the noise of your typical campground. The other campers were respectful and friendly so it didn't become a major issue. Jet skis made their presence known most of the weekend, so be prepared for that. Otherwise, enjoy time away from the concrete and traffic, and get out on the water with the (included in your stay) canoe/kayaks!

We stayed at Site 3 at Muskoka Wellness Retreat in Huntsville to celebrate a birthday with friends, and it was such a wonderful experience. The site had plenty of space for multiple tents and a dining tent, which made our stay super comfortable. We especially loved the easy access to the water — sandy bottom, great for swimming, and our dogs had an absolute blast splashing around.
The bathroom was clean, the bugs were manageable, and even though there was a fire ban, we didn’t feel like we missed out on anything. The weather was perfect, and the atmosphere made for a really relaxing and fun weekend.
Our host, Haylee, was responsive, kind, and made sure everything went smoothly. We’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-kept campsite in Muskoka. We can’t wait to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The privacy was perfect — there was no one else around, which is ideal for an introvert. The portable toilet for all four sites was clean, and during our stay a service truck came to clean it.
The cabin was spacious and clean, though it would have been nice to have a few hooks to hang clothes. The access to the water from our site was overgrown with vegetation, but from site #3 or the central area it was much easier to get to the shore.
A special thank you for the free kayaks — paddling on the water was absolutely beautiful.
We happened to visit during a fire ban, which was unfortunate— being surrounded by water, greenery, and marshland made it feel like the perfect place for a campfire. Instead, we replaced that experience with enjoying the peace, the quiet, and spotting deer.
For those who enjoy fishing — pike was biting, but the water is shallow and there’s a lot of vegetation, which made fishing a bit frustrating as the lure kept getting tangled.
Overall, we are grateful for the experience and would definitely come back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Site 3 was exactly what we were hoping for—private, with direct water access.
Even with a total fire ban in place, it didn’t affect our experience at all. We simply planned our meals accordingly to stay within regulations.
While the site itself is private, the lake is not. There was some boat traffic during the day, likely due to buoys set up for water skiing. Early mornings and late evenings were much quieter, which is to be expected on a larger, more populated lake. It didn’t stop us from enjoying swims or taking our canoe out on the water.
An outhouse located between Site 3 and the group camping area was very convenient. When we first arrived, it was a bit dirty, but another camper had contacted the owner and it was cleaned within the hour—such a quick and impressive response!
My only critique is more personal than anything. I was hoping for the complete serenity of a quiet retreat, and our first night certainly delivered that. However, things changed when a large group arrived at the group camping site, and the noise continued into the next morning, making it harder to sleep. Of course, that’s not the owner’s fault, and it wouldn’t stop me from booking again—though I’d hope for a quieter group next time.

Muskoka Wellness Retreat site 3 was amazing! Cozy, private and perfect little waterfront. The water was crystal clear with a solid sand base. It was like we had the bay all to ourselves. All 4 sites are great, but 3 is the best. Accommodated our camper with annex and truck with plenty of space for a fire and chairs at the water. Can’t say enough about this hidden gem. We will be back!
