This special little rustic cabin is nestled amongst 100 unspoiled acres of mixed forest with various walking trails on the property. It's the perfect place to unplug, unwind and completely connect with nature to enjoy some quiet time. In this cozy glamping setting, you will be serenaded by birds of every kind and will often see deer drinking by the stream close by.
This cabin is OFF GRID (limited solar power) but has a wood stove (bundles of firewood available for purchase), propane outdoor portable grill, and enough solar power for very small electronic appliances. Sleeps 3 adults comfortably (or 2 adults & 2 children however msg us if you have any questions). Indoor bathroom with compostable toilet indoors. Many attractions and conveniences only 10-15 mins away in Port Sydney, Bracebridge and Huntsville. Nearby is a the beautiful public Mary Lake beach and boat launch in Port Sydney. There is NO HUNTING permitted on the property. Please expect bugs, flies and mosquitoes. Deck is mostly enclosed to make star filled nights that much more enjoyable. There is also a sugar shack and garage on the property for viewing purposes only. There is an outdoor propane shower and a large cooler available for your convenience as well. Guests to bring their own ice. Looking forward to sharing our special little zen hideaway!

There are two cabins now on the property, but one is brand new and private and not accessible- it will be vacant for your stay. There is also a private sauna, but is also not accessible.
The cabin pictured is in the middle of a private 5-acre property across from Turtle Lake and spans turtle lake road, to Donnelly and Poke Road, so it’s easily defined by the roads around the land. There is no direct access to the lake, but there are many lakes and beaches within a short drive. There are also many quaint towns to visit, beautiful hiking trails to explore all nearby.
The main floor has a pull-out double bed, and the loft has 2 sets of bunk beds, ideal for kids. The bathroom facility is a newly built very airy eco-outhouse - you will be pleasantly surprised! There is a sink to wash up, and an outdoor shower, but for now, only cold water is available.
This an ideal family getaway or a romantic getaway, I look forward to hosting you!

Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.

Totally private, beautiful lake. The dome was super well set, bed was extremely comfortable. Had all the amenities you needed. All we brought was our own food the rest was taken care of. Communication was great. Toilet was very clean, barely any smell for an outhouse. Plenty of fire wood for the duration we were there and potable water. Dock was nice and new and all chair were well taken care of and clean. The shower was great for a quick rinse off, however wish there was one actually by the dome, this being said it was a 30 seconds walk to the main cottage. We assumed the sauna was also by the dome but was also at the main cottage. Would 💯 go back and stay again.

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome
This was one of the best places I have stayed at. Beautiful piece of property; they have everything you could need (except I would recommend bringing a hatchet/axe if you plan on having a fire), and it was nice to disconnect. It was incredibly private, quiet, and relaxing. We got to see a couple of loons, a moose and Benny the beaver popped up! Buggy, but that is to be expected out in the woods.
Will definitely be back in the future!!

4 nights at Pet Friendly-The Magic Forest
We enjoyed our stay at Gryffin Ridge very much! The inside is very comfortable and cozy. Really helped to have AC during a heatwave, although the inside is well insulated and kept a nice temperature throughout our stay. The front porch area was excellent for reading, relaxing and observing the variety of birds in nearby nests. Fire pit area is kept tidy. Stayed for four nights and would definitely come back for more.

We absolutely loved how peaceful it was at the Cabin. We sat in the sun and just listened to the birds and wind through the trees - such a large space it was great for the dog and for lawn games. The host provides everything you need and more - the VHS and classic movies came in clutch on a rainy day. Its deep enough in the wooded areas to enjoy this serene environment, and the town with walking trails, lazy river and everything else you need is just a short drive away. Yes! The stars are big and beautiful - perfect place to bring a telescope if you have one!

My wife and I have been winter camping many times and this was our favorite cabin rental ever! It has been a great getaway and adventure for us and our dogs.
We arrived with alot of snow and were planning to hike. Thanks to the hosts as they have snowshoes available at the cabin! We had a blast in the trails.
The cabin's stove was perfect, kept it cozy and warm throughout the weekend.
The well water with a hand pump was an added surprise and let me tell you how good that water is! We were both talking about it all weekend.
Hosts were amazing, had fire going for when we arrived, took us to the cabin and after that it was just us.
Perfect 10/10 for us as this is exactly how we like to camp. Will be back for sure.

It was amazing! The bunkie was adorable and even in the middle of winter they accommodated.
In the winter months the access road turns into an OSFC trail! That was a bit of a shocker but we made it and it seems as though Michelle keeps it fairly maintained up until the bunkie, so thank you. Also looks like Theres a lot more to offer when Theres no snow. Definitely coming back in the summer
