In this cozy glamping setting, you will be serenaded by birds of every kind and will often see deer drinking by the stream close by.
This cabin is OFF GRID (limited solar power) but has a wood stove (bundles of firewood available for purchase), propane outdoor portable grill, and enough solar power for very small electronic appliances. Sleeps 3 adults comfortably (or 2 adults & 2 children however msg us if you have any questions). Indoor bathroom with compostable toilet indoors. Many attractions and conveniences only 10-15 mins away in Port Sydney, Bracebridge and Huntsville. Nearby is a the beautiful public Mary Lake beach and boat launch in Port Sydney. There is NO HUNTING permitted on the property. Please expect bugs, flies and mosquitoes. Deck is mostly enclosed to make star filled nights that much more enjoyable. There is also a sugar shack and garage on the property for viewing purposes only. There is an outdoor propane shower and a large cooler available for your convenience as well. Guests to bring their own ice. Looking forward to sharing our special little zen hideaway!

Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.
The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided.
You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and can explore the great hiking, nature viewing, atv trails and boating in the summer months. The cabin is an ongoing project; however, it is well equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay for adventure seekers and peace-and-quiet lovers who don’t mind roughing it just a little.
Lighting is provided by three propane lights (two in the kitchen area and one in the downstairs bedroom). An assortment of quality LED rechargeable lamps is also available for lighting the upstairs bedroom.
A full solar system is planned for spring/summer 2026. In the meantime, several battery-operated options help make the cabin feel almost like it has electricity. A Bluetti AC70 power station is available to power and charge low-draw devices such as cell phones, tablets, portable DVD players, AC lamps, and a Nintendo Switch. The cabin also has an AM/FM radio that receives several clear stations.
There is a 16-inch portable DVD player with a small collection of classic movies.
The cabin is heated with a wood stove, and all firewood for indoor heating is provided (during cold/winter months). Guests are kindly asked to bring their own bagged firewood if they plan to use the outdoor fire pit. Bagged firewood is available at local general stores.
Cooking is done on a propane stove with four burners and an oven. The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials, including utensils, pots and pans, and dishes.
There is currently no refrigerator (planned with the solar system), but a cooler is provided for keeping food cold. During winter, frozen items can also be stored outdoors.
An outdoor outhouse serves as the toilet.
The cabin is located at the end of a roughly 300-foot laneway. Winter access is by walking or snowshoeing. Multiple pairs of snowshoes are available to borrow, and a toboggan is provided for hauling gear. Parking is available at the beginning of the laneway, just off the road.
During non-winter months, guests are able to drive right to the cabin.
The walk in takes only a couple of minutes and is manageable for anyone of reasonable fitness.

This wilderness escape is just a 2-hour drive from Toronto yet completely secluded. There are no people or houses in sight, no cars, no lights – only the whispering of the towering pines and the sounds of nature.
There are three comfortable cabins on-site, Pine Ridge, Vista, and Brooks, each uniquely positioned for maximum privacy and unobstructed views. The cabins are accessible by a short walk from the parking lot and come equipped with a kitchenette, a fully screened porch, and a tree-house-like sleeping loft. We absolutely loved how peaceful it was at the Cabin. We sat in the sun and just listened to the birds and wind through the trees - such a large space it was great for the dog and for lawn games. The host provides everything you need and more - the VHS and classic movies came in clutch on a rainy day. Its deep enough in the wooded areas to enjoy this serene environment, and the town with walking trails, lazy river and everything else you need is just a short drive away. Yes! The stars are big and beautiful - perfect place to bring a telescope if you have one!

My wife and I have been winter camping many times and this was our favorite cabin rental ever! It has been a great getaway and adventure for us and our dogs.
We arrived with alot of snow and were planning to hike. Thanks to the hosts as they have snowshoes available at the cabin! We had a blast in the trails.
The cabin's stove was perfect, kept it cozy and warm throughout the weekend.
The well water with a hand pump was an added surprise and let me tell you how good that water is! We were both talking about it all weekend.
Hosts were amazing, had fire going for when we arrived, took us to the cabin and after that it was just us.
Perfect 10/10 for us as this is exactly how we like to camp. Will be back for sure.

It was amazing! The bunkie was adorable and even in the middle of winter they accommodated.
In the winter months the access road turns into an OSFC trail! That was a bit of a shocker but we made it and it seems as though Michelle keeps it fairly maintained up until the bunkie, so thank you. Also looks like Theres a lot more to offer when Theres no snow. Definitely coming back in the summer

The wood stove was easy to maintain and keep burning, and the locale was quiet and so gorgeous. We loved coming back from a day of activities to watch old movies on vhs.
