Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave.

It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Please remember to remove all garbage and recycling from campsites, a compost bin is available on site by the garden. A portable toilet is available from May 15 to the end of thanksgiving weekend in October. And please note that we are located beside an active rail line that is used by the Go Train, VIA Rail and freighters, there are trains that pass throughout the night. My children and I loved our stay at Rick's place. Tha cabin and airplane are in great shape and nestled in the middle of the woods. Rick was a good host and everything was as we expected. My partner and I loved staying in the dome, our dogs had a blast playing with Max and Ruby too, sweetest pups I ever met. It was amazing sleeping under the stars and the moon. It was like camping but a lot better. Mitch was very attentive and made our stay an 11/10. If you forget something civilization is close by so don’t fret. The pond and the land surrounding the dome is breathtaking. If you want to sleep under the stars surrounded by nature add this trip to your bucket list you will not be disappointed !

Lovely little cabin. Well-insulated, and has a wood stove. Doesn't take much fire to warm the place up. The main cabin has three single-bed cots plus a single bed mattress in the loft, but know there is very little headroom up there. Probably more suitable for a child. There's a table and four chairs. The plane has room for an adult or a couple of kids to set up sleeping bags. Very quiet. Didn't hear a thing aside from the wind in the trees. Just what I wanted for a Hallowe'en camping weekend. The outhouse is clean and as nice as an outhouse can be. Watch out for the dogs on the way in. They're friendly cuties, but don't seem car-smart, so drive extra slowly.

We loved Gillian and Jim’s property. Our stay could not have been better. Their hospitality and kindness went above and beyond. Their attention to the little things made all the difference. They aim to please by exceeding all expectations, more than any other host we have experienced. The three of us were very comfy and had lots of fun after dark by the fire and inside playing games. We got lucky with clear skies and sun. The stars were out and the sun in the morning was glorious. We only had time for one night but it felt like so much more. We will certainly be booking again and highly recommend to anyone looking to connect with Nature and relax.

Firstly, Rick was the best host. Informative, responsive but left us to our own devices. My partner and I were looking for somewhere functional and secluded and this property hit all the marks. We stayed there with our 3 large dogs and were able to explore trails onsite that were easily accessible and intuitive. There's also a great clearing in the marsh where we were able to catch some shooting stars! The first night we stayed in the smaller cabin, which was a dreamy little slice of rustic bliss. Second night we stayed at the unique plane crash site - overall has more space and access to the plane worked as a perfect refuge to shelter from the elements, while conveniently placed steps away from the warmth of our campfire. Clearly both sites are treated with care, clean and filled No doubt, will be back.

Welcome to Cedar Creek Forest Camping! Voted second best campsite in Canada in 2021 and ranked number 2 in Ontario in 2022. I have 97 acres of very private camping. The forest is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. I have developed miles of flat groomed trails and a 3-acre pond (plus several bush ponds). The sites are spread around the pond and are close but not right beside it. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals call this home. There is a small swimming hole on the island but otherwise the pond is full of aquatic life. The sites and trails are maintained all year long and the forest is quiet and beautiful. I have planted over 3000 trees with the help of the Severn Sound Environmental Association. The forest is registered as a managed woodlot with the province and habitat preservation/restoration is the priority goal. Please DO NOT bring firewood for your visit. I have large bags of cured firewood that was sustainable harvested from the forest available. Invasive insects and disease can be transferred from imported wood. Guests are welcome to quietly explore the forest trails but are asked to stay on the trail. Many birds and animals nest in the forest. My campsite is family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and 420 friendly too. Guests can easily drive up to and park at all campsites. My camp site is tolerant and respectful of all humans, animals and things. The Yurtle structures were built from Hemlock trees that were cut from this forest and processed into boards, then engineered into unique camping huts. Enjoy our trees and gardens that surround our charming old stone farmhouse. Trampoline available (with permission). Trees, field, wildlife, campfire - our small piece of paradise. Near horseback riding. Close to Georgetown, Glen Williams, and Erin. Camper vans and RVs may park in driveway (not long term), and there is room for several tents. If you are through-hiking and want some meat or other goodies for the campfire, we have a grill available.
