MJ was an amazing host! She was very welcoming and very helpful during our stay. The bunkie was very clean and spacious as well had everything we needed. The bunkie was very close to the trail as well the land on which it was had a great view and was very well kept. It was accesible for us despite not driving which makes it ideal for anyone looking to get away from the city without the stress or driving or renting a car. We loved our stay and would do it again.

The bunkie was very clean and had everything we could’ve needed! The property is beautiful and well maintained and clear check in instructions.
MJ was an excellent and host, and made communication easy in preparation for my trip. The bunkie provided a lovely, private getaway. It was stocked with many supplies, cookware and other necessities! The outhouse was exceptionally well kept. It is very close to many access points of the Bruce trail, making a very convenient location wise. Overall a wonderful visit!
We had a wonderful time at Bruce Trails! The bunkie is beautifully secluded from the main property, and we truly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, stunning views, and being immersed in nature. The birdsong, the breeze, and the overall atmosphere made our stay even more special.
I was a bit apprehensive about sleeping in the loft bed at first, but it turned out to be surprisingly comfortable!
The only minor issue we encountered was with the outhouse bathroom. It felt a little dusty, and there were a few spider webs that could have been cleaned. Other than that, everything was great.
The property had all the basic amenities we needed, including water, a grill, a campfire, firewood, and butane gas. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and we really enjoyed our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the bunkie! We were doing a long hike along the Bruce trail and MJ was very flexible with our arrival and departure, and parking situation. We had a different date booked previously, but it turned out to be a very rainy weekend so we canceled and she was so accommodating with rescheduling
After our long day of hiking, I was so excited to get to the bunkie and relax. I kicked off the boots and flopped into the hammock with my feet up. Perfection.
We had everything we needed to cook up our dinner and have a fire and we slept like rocks. We got rained on a bit but having the bunkie to retreat to was very comfortable.
Everything was amazing and we would totally recommend to everyone!

Cozy, beautiful, well-stocked little bunkie with plenty of privacy and great access to nearby nature and small towns. MJ sent a very detailed orientation message beforehand including directions and local favourites. Would come back!
Toronto is a hectic city, and when I flew in for a few days of meetings, I wanted a place to adjust to the jet lag and recover from travel, so I stayed at the bunkie and turned my phones off and slept like a log. Highly recommend this spot if you want a retreat from the city!

Great experience! We spent long weekend at the bunky. Got to do a bonfire at night. The kitchen is convenient! The trails are right across the property.. had a great time hiking. The hosts are amazing people! It was lovely chatting with them, lucy is so cute and loves pets ! All in all definitely recommend this place

Beautiful view and really well located. MJ provided great recommendations for local restaurants and the bunkie was exactly as pictured. I stayed one night, but I wish I would have stayed a few more to explore the area further. Absolutely would recommend!
Super cool spot! Private, cosy, silent and pitch black at night, awesome ventilation in the sleeping loft. The bunkie is an awesome build, and the main sitting area has a really comfortable vibe (rug, couch, blanket, map of the bruce trail). We loved it. Just stopped in for a night on a longer journey, but would absolutely come back.
Very nice little cabin, is part of a larger property, but still plenty of privacy. Mornings are very cold around late September, recommend to bring a blanket if you’re here around this time of year. I had cell reception and was ~15 minute drive to a mall near by. The fire pit was wonderful. Would recommend.
It was nice. The view was great. The conservation area was a great place to visit.the cabin had everything you needed.
Lovely private rustic cabin with a beautiful view and breeze of the valley, conveniently located near the Limestone Conservation area. Its close to many interesting trails and towns to visit but feels like it is a million miles away from everything.

Such a great spot! Everything we needed to cook meals, a great spot to walk trails or run the countryside, and the evening fire was the perfect way to end the day. Wonderful spot to spend our long weekend.

Amazing gem!!! MJ was an amazing host. The Bunkie was beautifully set up, instructions were clear, and the site was very private. Which is a huge bonus when you’re looking to get away. Close to beautiful towns and trails this gem has it all. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to see the stars, or couples who need that extra special night. Huge thank you to MJ for making my stay special. Can’t wait to come back.

We had a great weekend at the bunkie. It's nestled on it's own little private area on the property with a gorgeous view of the corn field. It's also ideally located across from the Limehouse Conservation area. MJ and Josh were excellent hosts and provided more than enough for what we needed for our stay. We really enjoyed our time off the grid and will definitely come back.

Beautiful and private spot. We went in June and were well secluded in the brush from the main house. It was lovely to sit by the fire and listen to all the birds, you have a great view of rolling farmland from the fire pit. Was also great to hop across the street and go for a walk through the Limehouse conservation trails.

My boyfriend and I had a great time staying at MJ’s bunkie! She was super helpful and offered extra ice packs or coolers if we needed cause of the hot weather. Very generous and the space was great for a time to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Lucy (the dog) was super friendly and cute too! Had a great time on MJ’s land, thank you again!

The bunkie was amazing! The location and privacy made it a perfect get away!
Unfortunately it felt that this bunkie wasn't finished yet. There was a few areas of safety concerns that we've messaged the host about. However, the view was exactly as pictured, absolutely stunning. The host sent us a wonderful welcoming email with recommendations in the area and was very communicative about the booking. The place was clean, but we would not stay here again.
We loved this little quiet piece of heaven! The bunkie had everything we needed for the night and more! There is even a hiking trail and conservation area within walking distance! Thank you for making our stay amazing!

Had a great fall stay at the Bruce trail bunkie. We were hiking the Toronto section and this place was perfectly located. We had all that we needed to enjoy our little escape. Thanks to our wonderful hosts.
We really enjoyed our two night stay at the bunkie! The hosts sent us some great tips prior to arriving, the bunkie was cozy & well equipped, there's a beautiful view right outside the bunkie & the fire pit is great! Also, the conservation area is right across the road & has great trails. 🌿
Would recommend to anyone who enjoys tiny house vibes & a peaceful setting in nature.

We loved staying here! Before the trip we got friendly email from Josh&Mary Jane about all the details we needed about staying so we already were sure that the weekend will be great.
And it was even better! We couldn't ask for more beautiful view, more friendly hosts and cozy bunkie! 😍😍😍😍And the dog Lucy is just pure love 🐶😍❤️❤️❤️

So pleased we discovered Hipcamp - MJ’s bunkie is exactly what we’ve been looking for this summer for a long weekender out of the city and it was perfect. Nestled at the back of MJ’s property, the bunkie is very private with a beautiful view from the firepit over to the next field. We used the firepit and stove every night and to cook, and went for a hike one afternoon just over the road at Limehouse Conservation Area. The bunkie itself is double height and very comfortable and cosy. The sleeping area at the top is surprisingly comfortable and temperate. Not too hot or cold - just perfect for end of August. Also the outhouse was clean and we appreciated the loo roll in a jar (genius!) and the pine needles :)
Thanks so much for having us to stay for a super relaxing 3 nights MJ - just what we needed to get away from the hectic mess of the city.
We had an amazing stay on Mj’s property! The bunkie was fantastic, it had everything you need. The outdoor kitchen area was my favourite. The stove worked great, the pans available were great and you get to cook in nature (so beautiful).
The fire pit area was perfect and secluded. We saw amazing sunsets and listened to the birds and crickets all evening.
The outdoor outhouse was honestly the best I’ve ever used! It was so clean, no smell and equipped with toilet paper and sanitizer. I was shocked at how great it was!
If you are interested in gorgeous walks or hiking: we followed the Bruce trail through the limestone conservation area and through the town for a nice scenic hike! There are different sections so you can make the hike/walk and far as you would like!
This was the perfect getaway and a fantastic spot to be!
