We were so happy to discover this beautiful spot just a short drive from Toronto. Nestled right next to the river, the campground is exceptionally clean and well-maintained.
Marcin and his wife were incredibly friendly, nice, and inviting. They keep both the sites and the facilities spotless and tidy, and they went out of their way to accommodate every request we had. The campsites back directly onto the river and are only a short walk from the beach. They also sell dry, high-quality hardwood, a huge improvement over the moldy, damp wood you often get at provincial parks. Another big plus is that they allow several families to share the same site, making it a much better option for group camping than the provincial parks.
Just a couple of practical tips: bring mosquito repellent, as you’re camping by the water, and pack for cooler, damper nights thanks to the river effect.
We would definitely book with Marcin again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, convenient, and family-friendly riverside getaway.
We absolutely loved camping at Camp Saulaine. Martin was very helpful and knowledgeable and we will definitely go again!

Marcin was an extraordinary host! He goes above and beyond to make us have comfortable and enjoy our stay. He even toured us in his property. This camp is so beutiful. If you ever have an important event or milestone this place will be a perfect venue. The barn and the river are my top favorite sight! The campgrounds are so clean and flat. Even our little dog had the time of his life exploring the place. Our kids also enjoyed swimming in the river and the playground. They even have real bathrooms and showers. Thank you Marcin for hosting us. We will surely be back with a much bigger group of friends!

A great place where you have everything in one spot—trails, a river, and beautiful nature. They are wonderful hosts who show you around and make you feel right at home and safe.
Great campsite and activities area. Very easy access to the beach and trails nearby, host was extremely helpful with everything from check in to getting firewood. If you’re lucky you may run into a very large raccoon who enjoys garlic bread 😂

My family and I had a wonderful time! The land was beautiful, clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

The property is really beautiful and there is a lot of potential. I’d give it 5 stars but our experience with campsite proximity and inconsiderate neighbours has to lower my rating. The sites feel private but are actually very close together. We could hear our neighbours in site 2 blasting music and yelling until past 2am. I had to go over twice (12am and 2am) to ask them to be quiet. It was our puppy’s first time camping and we would’ve loved for all of us to have a restful sleep. I suggest lowering the number of people allowed at each site and enforcing quiet hours so that everyone can enjoy their time
From start to finish, our time camping on this land was amazing! Marcin was an incredible host who went out of his way to help us set up our tent after we were struggling for a bit, haha, and spoke more about the property and the amenities for children since we had two little ones with us!
The campgrounds are all clean and flat which is perfect for kids to walk around in. Our kids were able to run around the basketball court and play a bit of volleyball! As well as check out the chickens, play on the playground, and visit the sandbox area.
The best part was the beach! It was a true sandy beach! Our kids played out there all day and were able to go into the shallow end easily. Lots of other campers were tubing down the river screaming and laughing, which was a beautiful sight!
The only thing that sucked was the mosquitos on the campground area (not the beach). I highly recommend bringing anything and everything to repel mosquitos if they are attracted to you.
The potable water also was great, and the other campers were friendly and always smiling and saying hi.
I would also like to note that they do have actual washrooms in the barn! It was not opened our first night, but our second night, Marcin had opened it up so everyone was using that instead of the portable toilets (understandably).
We can’t wait to go back!

We had a fantastic stay at Camp Saulaine. The beach and the stream were the highlights of our trip. beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. the campsite was clean, quiet, and well maintained, making it an ideal place to enjoy nature.
marcin was an excellent host. He was friendly, welcoming, he also made sure the tap water was clean and safe for guests to use, which we really appreciated. His attention to detail and hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable.
we had an unforgettable camping trip and would definitely return. Highly recommend Camp Saulaine and Marcin to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.
The property was absolutely beautiful, lush, and very green. There is a lot of exploring, swimming, volleyball, basketball hoops, trails, fishing. The river is beautiful and refreshing, the host was very attentive to us and our site.
The campsites vary quite a bit in size, so if you have a large group definitely ask for a larger site for setting up. We booked late and very very thankful to get a site, but wish we had booked earlier and gotten a larger site as our party was of 9.
A few members of our party mentioned that the photos don't quite express how big/deep the campsites are or how close they are. Some of them are rather close to each other and it's not as private as we were hoping for, however again there are sites available if you book early where these accommodations can be made. All of the other campers were very friendly and the hosts checked in on us multiple times. Would definitely recommend for the right size of group. ❤️
We had an amazing stay at this campsite and would definitely come back! The site was spacious, private, and very well maintained. One of our favorite parts was the beautiful river flowing right behind the campsite—it made the whole experience peaceful and relaxing.
