This is a very private little slice of heaven that I've been pleased to steward for over 25 years.
If you love the sound of frogs singing, and bullfrogs plucking their banjo strings, red-winged blackbirds trilling, you will love it here.
The property is literally right across the road from the Mono Cliffs Provincial Park which boasts amazing trails, views and features the Niagara Escarpment.
The 4-acre pond/wetland is designated 'Provincially Significant' by the Ministry of Natural Resources and is an important part of the Nottawasaga Watershed.
This area is renowned for its terrain - the fields are rolling and the views are quite special.
You will enjoy a private firepit and private overlook at the pond with hammock. The site isn't visible from the road.
Our house is visible from the site but far enough away as to not disturb one another.
We have an outhouse with lighting that will make your stay comfortable.

This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community.
It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night.
The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead.
There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company.
Here is what the land offers:
-Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023
-Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table
-Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River.

Welcome to Cedar Creek Forest Camping! Voted second best campsite in Canada in 2021 and ranked number 2 in Ontario in 2022.
I have 97 acres of very private camping. The forest is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. I have developed miles of flat groomed trails and a 3-acre pond (plus several bush ponds). The sites are spread around the pond and are close but not right beside it. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals call this home. There is a small swimming hole on the island but otherwise the pond is full of aquatic life.
The sites and trails are maintained all year long and the forest is quiet and beautiful. I have planted over 3000 trees with the help of the Severn Sound Environmental Association. The forest is registered as a managed woodlot with the province and habitat preservation/restoration is the priority goal. Please DO NOT bring firewood for your visit. I have large bags of cured firewood that was sustainable harvested from the forest available. Invasive insects and disease can be transferred from imported wood.
Guests are welcome to quietly explore the forest trails but are asked to stay on the trail. Many birds and animals nest in the forest.
My campsite is family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and 420 friendly too. Guests can easily drive up to and park at all campsites. My camp site is tolerant and respectful of all humans, animals and things.
The Yurtle structures were built from Hemlock trees that were cut from this forest and processed into boards, then engineered into unique camping huts. Large windows capture the glory of the surrounding forest and sun sets, while wood stoves warm campers on those cold days/nights.
Guests are asked to remove excessive garbage and recycling when possible.

You will have access to clean water to swim in (no soaps or detergents in the pond please, we also swim in the pond regularly so we might see you in there, the pond is about 40 meters from our house, no fishing in the pond, no camping within 30 meters of the pond), clean water to drink + wash dishes in, lots of safe flat parking for cars and camper vans, lots of safe flat grass for tents, a giant forest, views of a few beautiful horses doing their own thing on our pastures (do not feed them or go within the fenced off horse areas), loads of birds, dragonflies, butterflies and more!
We require quiet after 9pm, and before 9am. No excessive substance use please. No substance use if you are going to swim.

We are fortunate to call this ecologically diverse and extremely private piece of land home, and we are excited to welcome you here to explore the magic for yourself.
Our 50 acre parcel would have comprised much of the maple bush for the original 400 acre farm property. The stone fence rows and laneways lined with large boulders are remnants from the days or horse drawn carriages, likely put in place hundreds of years ago. In addition to the maple bush there are several acres of cedar bush, open wild flower meadows, as well as fields dotted with larger shade-giving trees.
A small half acre of the property is used to farm fresh cut flowers which you are welcome to visit. We also have a kitchen garden, 10 egg-laying hens, 2 very friendly outdoor cats, and our black lab Abby who will likely greet you with a bark (she is very friendly).
In the summer months you can enjoy a handful of lakes for swimming and boating all within 10-15 minutes of our property. We are happy to share details and locations.
We are conveniently located just off of Highway 10, ten minutes north of Markdale and 25 minutes south of Owen Sound. If you are headed north to Tobermory, we are a perfect mid way point if coming from Toronto, with Tobermory just an hour and a half north of us.

Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), Elmire (10 min). There is access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. This is a hidden Oasis just outside of the Waterloo and Guelph areas.
There’s lots of other exciting things to do and see in the surrounding areas – great restaurants, breweries and wineries, golf courses, rivers, fishing, agri-tourism experiences, events and more.
There is really something for everyone around here.
We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night.

We hope you don't mind. We aim to give you a lot of privacy, so we aren't going to be around all the time, don't worry. The campsite was clean, well maintained, and had a really peaceful vibe. We loved the clean pond and all the geese walking around, it was so much fun to watch them, and they weren’t aggressive at all. There was no cell signal where we camped, and while the host provided Wi-Fi, it didn’t really reach our site since we were farther from the main building. The host was very responsive and flexible, and we really enjoyed our stay.

We spent 3 nights at Willowjays and it was the perfect base camp for our trip! The site is incredibly secluded, giving us all the privacy and peace we were looking for. Despite feeling so private, it was very easy to access and get our gear in and out. The farm views are gorgeous, and Renee was a wonderful, accommodating host. Highly recommend this spot if you need a quiet, convenient home base to explore the area!

Beautifully maintained property that you can tell the owners care about. Cute man made pond to hop in or to simply relax by for the view. Beautiful property with a few different spots to setup. We were just there for Springtide Music Fest so we were basically there to sleep at the end of the long music days. Great proximity to downtown. A more extended stay with No outhouse/water access wouldn’t be ideal but for our quick trip it worked perfect. Bob was very responsive and his son was helpful during our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. 10/10 would recommend

Bob is an excellent host! He pointed me to a quiet grassy area of the property to pitch a tent and was so hospitable, even dropping off some wood for a fire. Great spot.

We had a great stay at Tranquil Ten. The host was very welcoming and showed us around. We really appreciated the late checkout as well. The land is beautiful and well-maintained. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend it.

This campsite is a delight to stay at. Peaceful, amazing facilities and such a beautiful view across the landscape. Not only that Renee is such an awesome host and hero. When our RV got stuck (as we stupidly decided to park on the wettest patch of grass) she didn’t hesitate to tow us out with her tractor. Thank you again Renee

I've stayed at Tranquil Ten a few times now as it's close to work and I commute a long distance. The land is expansive, secluded and very pastoral. Surrounded by trees and nature, it rivals a provincial park experience. Bob and Trish are lovely and very thoughtful hosts. On my most recent stay, they left a fire box with wood for me to enjoy a warm fire on a cool evening. It was an awesome experience. I look forward to more stays at Tranquil Ten.

Very good, made early and clear communications and even accommodated our late arrival. Easy access even with large RV. Just wished we could have stayed for longer than 1 night!

Such a peaceful and quiet stay! The bathroom was perfect. Concrete pad was nice and level. Would definitely recommend staying here!
